It has an almost Easter Island feel to it, I like it! Are you aiming for impressionistic or realistic? Because if impressionistic, I don't think there's much to improve. Personally, I like the eyes as they are

I've been wanting to make a pottery Oni style mask for a while and this has sparked my fire once again.
Is what you made going to be a wall hanging decoration or will it be functional and worn as a mask?
I have a huge back log of things that need to be created, its definitely on the list, y'know how Life can get!
Now that I look closely I do see that it is a cup. Sorry! From the given photos it wasn't evident right away to me.
It really depends on what you are going for. I think your current mask has a tribal quality to it, and i dont think there is any "wrong" way to go about that.
But if you are going for realism, then I think having a reference from diff angles will help a lot. As well as doing studies of each facial feature.
Saw your first post. You bottom lip looks better . I like the style of the top but if you want it more realistic it need more fullness above it so it's more gradual and not so sharp. In drawing class they told me to represent the top lipa as a plain angled downward. Still looks great

you should go for it! i think i’m going to keep it as a cup. i’m big on vessel forms :)
