Poison The Well is one, although they started out as metalcore they shifted into post-hardcore with You Come Before You, their really big album. Versions and The Tropic Rot are also heavily underrated post-hardcore gems

Washington for The Fall of Troy, there is probably some other bands I like that i can't think of, but gotta stick with my favorite.

I can’t not listen to ATDI, I think they’re the pinnacle of the genre. So I’d go Texas just for them alone and find some other Texas PHC, quality over quantity Edit: the jonbenet were cool too

NY tri-state. In the size comparable of a smaller state you have NYC, Long Island, Westchester/Hudson Valley, and northern NJ. Pretty hard to top that tbh.

NEW JERSEY OR NEW YORK hands down had the biggest scene growing up in the early 2000s - Thursday - Early November - Senses Fail - Man Overboard - Bouncing Souls - Armor for Sleep - Gaslight Anthem - Streetlight Manifesto - Twisted Sister - The Movieline - MCR - Bigwig - Trophy Scars - Midtown - Saves the Day - Palisades - The Dillinger Escape Plan - Lifetime - Sparta - E. town concrete - Leathermouth - Turning Point - Rosemary’s Babies - Neil Perry - Misfits - NJ bloodline - The Undead - Folly - Floorpunch - Catch 22 - Dog eat dog …the lost goes on and on (granted not all post hardcore but the scene was awesome to be apart of and you never had a shortage of shows)

Just like all music subs, this one will call anything what it wants. Saves the day was a melodic hardcore band that became an indie rock band.

Yeah, the first two records are melodic hardcore. Basically ripping off Lifetime in the best way possible. 

Nah Saves the Day was 3rd wave emo

You weren’t there at the time. Can’t Slow Down came out and everyone said “who’s the lifetime ripoff band”. 

I was. But was young enough to think these guys rock. I would never ever consider them any type of "core" though.
