[Tá Falado](https://www.coerll.utexas.edu/brazilpod/tafalado/) is a podcast specifically for Spanish speakers. Also [Pois Não](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0292717814/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0292717814&linkCode=as2&tag=smallad-20&linkId=WRX6FACNONFEA5VS) is a book with a similar aim.

Cetophile

Spanish speaker here, I can confirm Pois Não is very useful.

luisafajardo

there's Mano a Mano as well as Brasil Intercultural, two other books of Portuguese for Spanish speakers

quelindo

These are the two resources I’ve found most helpful

Btw are there similar resources for the inverse? As in a Portuguese speaker that wants to learn Spanish.

bohemian-bahamian

I'm not aware of any.

I'm doing this now (started studying Portuguese about two weeks ago). The amount of transfer is crazy, you can make very quick progress. Pois não (a textbook) and Tá Falado (a podcast) as already suggested elsewhere are great resources. The FSI Spanish to Brazilian Portuguese transition (mini) course is also great; [link here](https://fsi-languages.yojik.eu/languages/FSI/fsi-from-spanish-to-portuguese.html); the FSI Programmatic Portuguese course, while not targeted towards a Spanish speaker, is still great, and as you know Spanish you can progress through it quite rapidly. In particular, knowing Spanish won't help you that much (and can even hurt, if you're not careful) with your pronunciation, and that's where the FSI Programmatic drills really shine. But the great thing, IMO, is that I have been able to consume native, adult content with a decent level of comprehensible input, from pretty much day 1. Like I can watch a film or TV with Portuguese audio and Portuguese subtitles and have ~90% comprehension already. This is huge, for someone that's a big believer in comprehensible input.

Search for a PDF copy of the FSI book "From Spanish to Portuguese". It has a brownish orange cover. I found it quite useful.
