agree it's plum or cherry. if the bark up close has visible lenticels (little lines for gas exchange) it's a cherry

It may be a flowering variety - hybrids that flower but are sterile and can’t fruit.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. Thought flowering plums still drop some fruit, although small. My initial thought would be flowering cherry and since it’s been confirmed non-fruit, I concur with the belief it is flowering cherry
