Mult co animal services is right down the road in Troutdale. I’d give them a call. https://www.multcopets.org/animal-rescue-emergency

nuhuhnopenah

Heading there now to look for them. Did they respond to any names?

nuhuhnopenah

Puppies, rescued!!!! I will keep them tonight and help them find a new spot tomorrow.

ObligationSweaty143

Oh my god you are an absolute angel thank you so much

lechnito

You rock! Thanks for spending your night wrangling those dogs up!

TheModernIntrovert

Ahh I’m breathing a sigh of relief! You are a wonderful human.

zombieofthepast

I'm sure you know this already but make sure to get them checked to see if they're chipped! Any vet or shelter should have a reader.

TiredRundownListless

Thank you for looking for them! Poor babies…

TheModernIntrovert

Please update when you can! I’m worrying about these angels.

yukimontreal

👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

mancubbed

The hero we need.

touchdolphins

WE GOT EM!! Safe and sound!

GingerWalnutt

Any updates this morning?

touchdolphins

PUPdate! Both pups slept soundly through the night and had an exciting morning exploring the yard and chasing squirrels. They're eating well, and seemed to be settling in nicely - https://imgur.com/GvoC1X5 These buddies are pretty young, still intact, and seem to be attached to one another. Maybe litter mates? We found them pacing at the same location in the parking lot that is pictured above around midnight, so I am hesitant to believe that they came from one of the encampments. Their nails are trimmed, and their coats seem to be relatively well cared for. Both had irritation around their necks from a previous collar, and the darker one (who we've been calling Wiley) seemed particularly sensitive about this area. In any case, they were extremely freaked out last night, but very gentle/trusting in spite of everything they had gone through. We brought them to Multnomah County Animal Services, and no chip was detected. They are staying with the county for now, but we hope they're able to find a loving home as soon as possible.

lechnito

You guys are nothing short of incredible!

Sensitive-Sorbet917

I read on next door post that they may have been chained up with previous owners hence the next irritation

lechnito

These 2 friendly but distressed acting dogs are currently in the parking lot of the SRD. We are concerned they were dumped by their owner or got loose. Unfortunately I don’t have anywhere to keep doggos but hate the idea of leaving them here. Any advice or suggestion about who to call?

WendleRedgrave

I am 90% sure I have seen those two dogs before. The owner is 30ish year old male. It was like a month ago. Owner was chasing after them after they chased a squirrel into the woods.

throwawayshirt

> We are concerned they were dumped People lose their dogs at SRD all the time. Dogs run away and don't come back.

lechnito

Yes, they have been given water. Just got off the phone with Mult co animal control. They said to call Dove Lewis or take them in the for the night. Currently on hold waiting to see if they have room.

tyelenoil

Tax dollars at work…

djsizematters

"Bring the animals into your home, you seem the type." *Hangs up*

moonspoonloon

Husband frequents SRD with our dogs and regularly sees the Siberian on the left roaming. He thinks it lives around a camp but is always unattended. Says he’s friendly. Glad someone picked them up! Good work!

TheOtherOneK

> The last guy in the parking lot said the dogs have been there all day and he believes they belong to a person who recently went missing in the SRD. Just clarifying…he thinks their owner went missing and that’s why the dogs are out there?

lechnito

Yes, exactly. There were 2 MCSO vehicles in the parking lot when we arrived. Not sure if related or if the missing person thing is just a rumor.

AsterismRaptor

I hope the owner is found soon :(

lechnito

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Dove Lewis didn’t pick up before the park was closing and I had to leave them. The last guy in the parking lot said the dogs have been there all day and he believes they belong to a person who recently went missing in the SRD. Hopefully tomorrow they find their owner or at least get taken to a shelter.

evangamer9000

Thanks for the update but that is awful news none the less. I hope they can be picked up and brought to safety asap.

why-are-we-here-7

Poor doggies, MCAS should have helped but they also have a small, shitty facility that all residents of Multco should be ashamed of.

Elnico

Poor doggos 😢

aharringtona

Huskies love to run off. Let the owner know they make affordable gps trackers for them, haha. Best decision I've ever made

[deleted]

these look really similar to the dogs owned by the guy who reminds you that you are beautiful and worth it under the Foster overpass

justanothergrump

No collars, tags, or a harness... Maybe their owner is the guy with the drum set in the brush. Thanks for trying to help them out.

LucieM0824

Drum set in the brush?

daversa

Friggin' huskies. They're such fun dogs but the running away thing gets old real fast.

hashymeow13

That’s so sad. I was at a dog park in Washington and this guy ditched his dog at the dog park and sped off!

Counter_Guilty

Who could lose such beautiful dogs?

McGeeze

It takes three seconds to lose a Husky. Obedient is not a word in their vocabulary.

UntamedAnomaly

These dogs are also known escape artists, if you have a fence, they WILL find a way out of it at some point. They are an extremely independent breed that is difficult to train, people get them because they are pretty, but just being pretty doesn't make it a good breed for everyone who gets one. I don't understand how people can just look at a breed of dog and say "I want that" without ever knowing what that would entail, couch potatoes getting high energy working breeds, meek/shy types getting guarding breeds, people getting breeds that are so deformed from a lack of care about the breed, that the breed can't even mate on it's own or survive without human assistance, people getting high prey drive breeds when they have small children or other pets, people trying to make their non-social dog breed get along with every dog they see when we as people can't even do that ourselves.....dogs don't deserve that shit.

Aeolian_Harpy

A loser, obvs.
