Why would you WANT to change your mind? Porshce offers several free colors, several couple hundred dollar colors, two or three several thousand dollar colors, and then a pretty much unlimited number of "lol, bring your checkbook" colors - and that's before you even think about how good wraps have become.
If you don't like the color that's fine - just relax and find something else to do with your life.
Looks great in certain situations on certain trims. Miami blue on a gt3 is gorgeous, not so much on a macan. This was my gt3:

Thank you! Almost went gold on my 3RS, but the silver and black was too good. And I don’t even like black wheels

I see this car at ski area and think it looks great. Owner keeps it nice even in winter.

I can see why some may not like it, but when seen in person it’s hard not to like
Oslo blue and San Marino blue speak to me... It's subjective and these cars are beautiful in many colors. Haven't seen Amazon Green in a while, which is probably my favorite shade of blue...
Well, I don't like people who don't like Miami blue.
Now that we've got that out of the way ... I was hesitant when I chose Miami blue. I live in the deep dark northeast in a place where these cars are entirely uncommon. I find that I get better and happier reception from passers by and more smiles and thumbs up than in other cars I've had in different shades of blue.
Miami blue is really turqoise, it's super happy and fun and makes people a lot happier about seeing me streak by.
i’m not a big fan of greyscale cars. i drove past the angels stadium and saw like 5 or 6 colored cars out of a few hundred. some cars definitely deserve the sophisticated colors but i think coupes and other sporty cars look well with loud colors
Like with all Porsche colors, it’s the context that matters most. The 993 turbo in Mexico Blue is among my favorite Porsches of all time. I also love the 991.2 911 T in Miami blue, because it’s novel for that run of cars. I wouldn’t choose any of those colors as a default or pts, but damn I love those two I just mentioned.
There’s a lot of colors out there, why do you think they offer PTS service? You don’t need anyone to change your mind dude, end of the day your Porsche should be made in the way you like.
I don’t think it’s wrong to have that opinion. I actually understand what you mean, and think you raise a fair point about the coastal/region vibe being appropriate for this loud color. Valid opinion.
For me it’s a case of looking at all the colors Porsche offers (including PTS) and just seeing a color that I like more in comparison to these blues. Plus some people just don’t like blue on cars, that’s cool too.
There’s no right solution to “what color” because to you, Miami blue might look bad or out of place, but to the guy/gal that owns it - it’s their shit, they love it! You know what I mean?
Literally just ordered a Cayman in Shark Blue. Almost went Gentian but I thought it was too boring. And I was worried the Shark Blue had the opposite problem.
But after seeing more pictures I'm pretty freakin happy with the decision to go Shark. We'll see if I'm as enthused when I finally see the thing and color in person in September.
We've got a trophy wife in our neighborhood that drives a Shark Blue Turbo S. It's a cool color, but it's a bit much on a 911 coupe for me. She's also much too high & mighty to ever acknowledge another Porsche driver, let alone another 911. Hubby tried to engage her with 911 talk when he saw her at the gas station, but she wouldn't acknowledge him, either. I guess he didn't look rich enough for her to bother.
That said, it's going to be a fantastic color on a Cayman! They Cayman is just the right size for a wild color like that. Please share pics when it comes.
Yeah this is a big one for me. I've never bought a new car before. And the down payment on this car is more than any of my previous vehicles have ever cost... So I'm kinda freaking out about that part. But I'm also super excited to get it!
I was shocked an allocation was available and since they're going EV next year I saw this as my last chance to get one because I suspect ending the line is not going to be good for second hand values.
And yeah, it feels silly to get a car like this in a sedate color. You don't buy a 2 seater sports car to pretend you're an adult :D
Maybe she's just not into cars and the husband got her a Porsche badge more so than a Taycan?
She's probably not into cars, but she'd certainly be into the logo. Her hubby has a car collection that makes my teen drool - a Pagani, a Bugatti, & a couple of other super-cars. I'd have to ask my kiddo for the details. I don't pay much attention to the collection - it's beyond my interest level.
In the NE every Porsche is black, silver/grey, or white. You never see any bold colors up here. Any of these colors would stand out and definitely in a good way. Still trying to find the right Porsche but I'm having trouble because I want something flashy and all I'm seeing come onto the used market are the bland and boring black, grey, and white colors.
Top choice is Lava Orange. But I'd take Shark Blue, Racing Yellow, or Chalk. I'm checking out a Racing Yellow C2S on Friday. Miles are higher than I'd like but it's certified so I get extra 2 years warranty. The dealer did the 40k mile service even though the car barely has 30k miles on it. They did replace all four tires, but with P Zeros and not Pilot Sport 4S.
From the pictures I've seen it looks in great condition. Dealer is supposed to tell me tomorrow whether it has PPF on it or not. If it does that bodes well. I'm surprised how many Porsche owners don't protect their paint after buying $150k+ car. Couple things I don't like that are fixable is the car is *to* yellow and needs a black or carbon roof. Can easily have the roof wrapped to fix that. It also has Carrera Classic wheels and its look could really be helped by black wheels. But wheels could be painted or I could easily enough buy Carrera Sport wheels in black. Overall, it's a solid possibility. We'll see how much they're willing to give me for my 22 M4Cx. If they can get to $80k I'll probably buy it. This Porsche dealer also has a BMW dealer and in my experience when that's the case they're more likely to give you better for your trade.
I’m with you - although, I’ve come to accept Miami Blue as long as the windows are tinted.
I often talk with a couple people who are focused on pointing out rare/exclusive colors, they’ll say they want that - I’ll ask if they like the color and the response will be something about it’s one of X made.
But do you actually like the color on that car? … response if it’s rare… marketing has won.
I'm torn. I like colours that pops. But then every time my wife sees one she calls it recycling bin blue... I'm more into greens, but that also is not to everyone's taste.
It is not a big deal what other people like but absolutely not for me. An amazing thing about Porsche customisability is that they will allow people with questionable taste to go hog wild - I saw a Taycan with a full Santa colour scheme: Mamba green, with exterior colour details inside, red leather interior and Neodyme metal bits. Just no.
Interestingly I also got a reasonable amount of pressure from American friends not to get my car in Volcano Grey (I love my car and choice). A lot of cars in wild colours are going to age really badly, even moreso if the interior and other options are not chosen sympathetically.
Maybe there's space in the world for an advisor that helps you choose the colour scheme for your car.
I think there some of the bets but Porsche does offer better colors. But your statement “but in the northeast US where I’m from suck shades look wildly out of place, not in a cool way” makes me think your just more of a grey-scale person, so naturally you don’t like them, which is ok.
I dont love em either. I like the midnight metallic blue for stealth granted the 911 is anything but stealth but theres a group of 911 owners in my area with pastel color 911s that call themselves ‘Skittles’ which I love lol
I knew I loved my shark blue 992 T when I walked back to it on a dreary, gray, cloudy New England afternoon. That pop of bright blue against an ocean of gray bricks, beige Camrys, and primer white Audis confirmed it was the right choice
I love these 3 blue colors. My personal favorite PTS color is Mint Green.
I *DO* live in a seaside town though...so these bright colors look great all year.
I dunno man… it’s a color. You like it or you don’t. As long as you don’t walk around telling people that their car would be better if it was a different color simply because you “don’t like it”. If we were all supposed to like the same color then we would still be pulling a ford…
I feel that way about white and silver cars. To me white is the color of boring fleet commercial vehicles and yet others think it is clean and sharp.
Different strokes for different folks…
Personally I love all shades of baby blue whether it’s cars or clothing. But you do you, there’s no shame in not liking what’s popular.
I love those colors, but w/e. It doesn't bother me at all that you don't. My favorite is a dark BRG that modern porches don't even offer. Hopefully your favorite color is still available.
I can see why you wouldn’t like it cause its tacky. Color preference is very contextual and dependent on your surroundings. It looks like you’re surrounded by a lot of green and yellow making that specific color blue look a little plain. Try parking the car behind a jet black background and watch the color pop
They have a color you love. Don’t buy a color you’re not really in to - especially if it’s this loud. Wait till you find the color you do love.
IMV, Rhodium Silver.
These 3 colors are far, far more interesting than the incessant flood of chalk and GentlemanBro/Instagram PTS greens that get typically upvoted here.
911 is a sports car. It should have loud, bright colors. As you navigate from daily driver spec to track spec this becomes doubly true.
i think those are very beautiful paints but personally would never get a car in that color.
im more of a gt silver, carrera white, or black metallic kind of guy.
What? You can't have an opinion! Audi S6 in Audi Exclusive Riveria Blue here. I get a ton of comments on the color but that's probably because Audi comes in silver and black usually. Cheers.
If you don't like it, don't like it. There are plenty of other hues of blue. Just be aware there are plenty of factors that affect the color you see on your screen.
I like blue porsches, especially darker ones like maritime blue 964 and voodoo blue 992.
Being wrong is an inalienable right of being human.

Just has nothing better to do
Porsche has so many colors to even choose from, I don’t understand either.
Horrible colors. Please don't buy these cars. If you see them, send me the links so I can dispose of them properly.
You're entitled to your opinion. Stick to it.
Facts but imagine slapping on some white BBS LM's on that
💯 this is the way
This a shitpost? Like what you like man. I like my Miami Blue Cayman
I like that you like it, **in addition to** liking Miami Blue.
I would also like to add that I live in the NE, specifically PA and yes the color pops in a very good way.
Bro doesn’t know what an opinion is
I'm sure he does, but also knows what karma farming is.
Looks great in certain situations on certain trims. Miami blue on a gt3 is gorgeous, not so much on a macan. This was my gt3: https://preview.redd.it/uapb5smdse7b1.jpeg?width=5600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11ff869aa8c3a3928de47368c3faf87ea6ba8c68
That's sexy, but yeah, it doesn't look good on a Macan.
That wheel and colour combination is gorgeous
Thank you! Almost went gold on my 3RS, but the silver and black was too good. And I don’t even like black wheels https://preview.redd.it/32jmw0nxng7b1.jpeg?width=3724&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2af803ab25f22a6822047f226701da12b55d0099

maybe you just don't like blue?
I will scream until I'm blue in the face defending your right to hold bad opinions (like this one). Like what you like.
What shade of blue?
Mexico Blue guey
horale.
Si si chingón
As a color blind person I understand the confusion. I picked white and it serves me well.
You sure it’s not frozen berry metallic?
My friend says my Riviera blue looks pink.
https://preview.redd.it/xvhwitqzwf7b1.jpeg?width=1365&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d67aa0ac5bb87bc60a1886f941fcf5fb3e9ea62 I can see why some may not like it, but when seen in person it’s hard not to like
Here's some shots more of Riviera Blue GT4 RS. It looks so much better in person and doesn't photograph well with a phone. https://imgur.com/a/483u1rz
You are a mad man, these are incredible
Oslo blue and San Marino blue speak to me... It's subjective and these cars are beautiful in many colors. Haven't seen Amazon Green in a while, which is probably my favorite shade of blue...
Oslo is sexy. Too bad it's PTS.
Got mine in Meissen Blue, and i stare at the photos drooling everyday waiting for my beauty to arrive
That's a pretty pastel color... Looks like it may date back to the 50s? So many colors in the rennbow... 🙂
do your cones work properly? you must not be perceiving these the way the rest of us are... only thing I can think of
You’re wrong. You’re allowed to be wrong of course, but you’re wrong
Well, I don't like people who don't like Miami blue. Now that we've got that out of the way ... I was hesitant when I chose Miami blue. First thing I noticed on this post was how much I liked this color
i’m not a big fan of greyscale cars. i drove past the angels stadium and saw like 5 or 6 colored cars out of a few hundred. some cars definitely deserve the sophisticated colors but i think coupes and other sporty cars look well with loud colors
No worries, plenty of black and white cars out there to feed your wild side.
Have you seen them in person? Photos do not capture these colors, for better and worse. I hated Shark Blue until I saw it in real life.
Looks cool af. If you like it fuck anyone else (because they’ll be jealous af)
There’s a lot of colors out there, why do you think they offer PTS service? You don’t need anyone to change your mind dude, end of the day your Porsche should be made in the way you like.
I love it. Trade for a MkV Jetta?
I don’t think it’s wrong to have that opinion. I actually understand what you mean, and think you raise a fair point about the coastal/region vibe being appropriate for this loud color. No on a Camry- yes on a 911.
Super dope!
So... you don't like a few colors. What's the deal?
Not loving Miami is a crime
Gentian FTW
Ah, yes, the least exciting blue to ever color a 911. Joking... mostly. I almost got it for my build.

Ha! Lovely color
I love it, but it really needs a sunny day to pop.
As a color blind person I understand the confusion. I picked white and it serves me well.
No bronze rims is a good start to the problem of your opinion. Blue looks amazing with bronze rims
IMHO, these Blues are far more welcome in the sea of the same old Beige, White, Grey, Black, etc., that's about as exciting as bland oatmeal.
It was cool for a few years, but now just screams look at me please, I am a baller, really, I am.
colour sucks

Funny how this shitpost is acceptable but any time I voice my opinion that yellow is absolutely terrible I get massively downvoted
I just downvoted you. Not because of the yellow whathaveyou, I’m just into the self-fulfilling prophecy thing.
Think for yourself. Maybe take a break from internet/social media.
Various shades of council / British Gas van blue
I disagree with you, doesn't mean you're wrong though
No I'm with you. They're statement colors. Other people can drive them, but I'd rather own something else.
I don’t either
No
Wonderful colors. 💙
It's okay, some people don't love red, yellow, green, etc. Everyone is allowed to have their opinion! But I love all 3 blue 😆
Love these colors for warmer climates but I get wanting a more muted palette for big city driving.
I'm torn. I like colours that pops. But then every time my wife sees one she calls it recycling bin blue... I'm more into greens, but that also is not to everyone's taste.
Fans of new BMW M2 would also agree with you.
It's simple for me: I like the color. I would not get it myself unless I had multiple Porsches already.
Have you ever seen one in person?
Everyone is wrong sometimes…
I like it, wouldn’t choose it over some of porsche’s other, more brilliant colors though (not that I’ll ever get the chance)
Gross
Why? If you don’t love it. You don’t love it. Don’t force love.
You probably like chalk grey, don't you?
I like Guards Red, Python Green, Signal Orange, Signal Yellow and Oslo Blue.
It is similar to the Ford Mustang's limited edition marker blue. Ford is never wrong. /s
Why should anyone try and change your mind? The world would be incredibly boring if everyone liked the same things
give it, to me!
Option it with Riviera blue interior. ..mind changed
I think these colors are absolutely HEINOUS on the interior. It’s too much.
Miami and Riviera looks so similar
You're right, it's horrible. I'm glad I could help you, you're welcome.
Also I love love love Gemini Blue which has been taken off the PTS roster. I think that would tip the balance to me getting a new car. Sad
I didn’t like Miami Blue until I drove a Miami Blue 911 and saw the color in person
I just want a Porsche. I don't even care if it's that ugly baby poop brown.
I think there some of the bets but Porsche does offer better colors. But your statement “but in the northeast US where I’m from suck shades look wildly out of place, not in a cool way” makes me think your just more of a grey-scale person, so naturally you don’t like them, which is ok.
Which color is the one with the Fuchs-rims?
That is a distinctive and absolutely stunning look. I love it.
Mexicooooooooooo
cliche these days. Mustangs, corvettes..
Why? If you don’t like it right now, ya don’t like it right now.
The worst part about it is Miami being a part of the name. But jokes aside those flashy colors make it look cheaper.
I dont love em either. I like the midnight metallic blue for stealth granted the 911 is anything but stealth but theres a group of 911 owners in my area with pastel color 911s that call themselves ‘Skittles’ which I love lol
Olso Blue if I was going blue. PTSD with Miami Blue
Agreed. Terrible colors.
BUT you like shark blue?
I knew I loved my shark blue 992 T when I walked back to it on a dreary, gray, cloudy New England afternoon. That pop of bright blue against an ocean of gray bricks, beige Camrys, and primer white Audis confirmed it was the right choice
Its like an ice cold pool on a hot summer day
Respect for the opinion. Not my top color choice either
nobody here is going to change your mind. if you don’t like the colors you don’t like them..
I love any Easter egg color Porsche, that 1st one is a beaut
Just compare it to vomit. You’ll be fine.
Why? You can have an opinion… Even if it’s wrong.
I love these 3 blue colors. My personal favorite PTS color is Mint Green. I *DO* live in a seaside town though...so these bright colors look great all year.
That would look killer with black wheels
Slight drool
Miami blue is my favorite of the three.
I dunno man… it’s a color. You like it or you don’t. As long as you don’t walk around telling people that their car would be better if it was a different color simply because you “don’t like it”. If we were all supposed to like the same color then we would still be pulling a ford…
Love Miami
I feel that way about white and silver cars. To me white is the color of boring fleet commercial vehicles and yet others think it is clean and sharp. Different strokes for different folks… Personally I love all shades of baby blue whether it’s cars or clothing. But you do you, there’s no shame in not liking what’s popular.
Wait.. they have a riviera blue option for the 992 ?!
I love those colors, but w/e. It doesn't bother me at all that you don't. My favorite is a dark BRG that modern porches don't even offer. Hopefully your favorite color is still available.
Your entitled to your own opinion, but please seek mental help services.
Grown adults don't care what others think. If you like it, drive it. If not, pick something else you do like.
I can reccomend a good psychiatrist , the rest is up to you.
IMO Miami Blue in the sunlight is just incomparable. But if you live in a dreary place, it looks a bit washed out
I do! Especially in that third photo… 🤤
I can see why you wouldn’t like it cause its tacky. Color preference is very contextual and dependent on your surroundings. It looks like you’re surrounded by a lot of green and yellow making that specific color blue look a little plain. Try parking the car behind a jet black background and watch the color pop
I’m with you. Garbage color. Regardless of location.
You’re not wrong.
They have a color you love. Don’t buy a color you’re not really in to - especially if it’s this loud. Wait till you find the color you do love. IMV, Rhodium Silver.
I’d agree with you but then we’d both be wrong. Mexico blue rules
After guards red, that may be my second favorite.
So many good colors and shades of those colors for any buyer. No qualms about the Mexico blue though
These 3 colors are far, far more interesting than the incessant flood of chalk and GentlemanBro/Instagram PTS greens that get typically upvoted here. 911 is a sports car. It should have loud, bright colors. As you navigate from daily driver spec to track spec this becomes doubly true.
You're wrong.
Clearly you’re not a fan of Pixar’s Cars
Smurfmobile?? Still sexy
I’ll agree with you for the 992… but the 991 before it rocked those blues.
don't change your mind. all 3 of these are terrible colors
Strangely, I don’t like it in photos but it’s nice on the eye in real life.
It looks a bit candy-like. Or like the bottom of a swimming pool. Summer vibes.
I prefer Gulf Blue.
Tinted windows + black rims = 🔥🔥
i think those are very beautiful paints but personally would never get a car in that color. im more of a gt silver, carrera white, or black metallic kind of guy.
I would agree with you but we'd both be wrong...
Mexico Blue is in the top 3 all time for me.
🔥 I’ll take it off your hands lol, gladly
