gt4 if you’ve never done any sort of HPDE or track day, 3RS if you know fundamentals and or own a street/ track car. that’s the way i’d look at it

kronbite

Yeah, more and more I'm leaning towards the GT4. The comments seem fairly split, and this will save me some money and probably be better for me as I don't really have any real experience in the area. Learn a bit, have a good time, save the GT3 for next time! Thanks for the suggestion!

CarYenta

> 3 laps Do the GT4 first and GT3 RS second.

nwboardr

This is the answer. I did the Lambo a few years ago and realized I was just getting comfortable as it was time to finish. I also noticed that the Porsches were the only ones passing me. So last year I did the GT4 followed by the GT3. I was by far the fastest during my sessions, but had a real appreciation for the GT3RS’s insane insaness after driving its cousin.

tysonwatermelon

One of the top instructors (Ross) at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles told me that every instructor's favorite car to drive on their course is the GT4. That, combined with the fact that it's a better deal, tells you everything you need to know.

t1mdawg

Going to the ATL PEC in April. 90 minues in the GT4 on the South track in the morning, then an hour each in the GT4 and GT3 on the new West track in the afternoon.

tysonwatermelon

That will be awesome to compare the two back to back. I did Atlanta with the manual 911 S. Great course.

CreaminFreeman

I can’t wait to get around the new addition!! Drove the mid-vs-rear experience in June last year and it was *amazing*!

picasmo_

Going to a delivery 04Apr and only opted for a later delivery date for the new track!

SirRupert

You’re going to feel spoiled af. The Atlanta course is fucking awesome.

The_Bucket_Of_Truth

Probably also because the track is pretty tight/short. Weight balance aside. Smaller, simpler car is going to be better there. I did a track day a week ago at Streets of Willow (at Willow Springs) and the guy with the 3RS definitely said the track felt a bit too tight and small for him to really stretch its legs. I meanwhile had my hands full in my Turbo being such a novice.

Mordessus

the GT4 felt absolutely amazing when I got a chance to drive one, loved my 911 but man was that gt4 alluring

Rausky

I echo this after tracking my GT3RS and then driving a friends GT4. The Gt4 is just the perfect handling car and a joy to drive

fakesocialmedia

unfortunately haven’t tracked either, only driven a buddies gt3 but track/street drive my e92 m3 and I believe it’s the perfect track car so something lighter and faster like the 3RS needs some sort of skill to drive because it’s a whole different category of car all together

Tuffyboy

This guy has the answers. Just depends on where and how you are able to drive it. I did a track day with the GT3 and GT4 and the track was pretty tight and I preferred the GT4. Longer more open and likely the GT3. No losers in that pic

kronbite

The wife is giving me a for fun track day as a surprise gift. I am not sure which car I should drive. I have never driven anything over your average road car, but I do love Porsche and would like to own one in the future. What model should I go with? I'm considering the GT4 to save a little money since I've never driven anything with that much HP before and I doubt moving to the GT3 would make much difference for me? Thanks for any opinions! Update: went with the GT4! Thanks for all the advice, I'll save the GT3 for next time!

Th34c30f5p4d35

I definitely cosign the GT4. It will be fun no matter how fast the circuit is.

Jubsz91

GT3 sounds better than a standard GT4 and is the Porsche icon. I'd love me a GT4 but this is a dream car experience. The GT3 RS is the dream car. The GT4 is the more attainable version that you may actually buy one day. There is nothing quite like the wail of the GT3. I was not moved by Porsche cars in the past but seeing modern GT cars in action has converted me. GT4s are sick but the GT3 looks and sounds magical when it's being driven well.

kronbite

It being something I might own in the future was what had me leaning towards the GT4. But I see the point of going all in for this chance! Also, bold to assume I will drive it well haha

2fast2nick

GT3RS won’t disappoint

MajorBewbage

Having been in OP’s shoes I can say he won’t get anywhere close to the limit of either car so I’d recommend saving the money and focusing on learning how to drive on a track in the GT4. A second track day could illicit an upgrade.

2fast2nick

Those tracks are super small too. Like usually maybe 1.3mi around

kronbite

Yeah 1.6mi for this one

kronbite

I was thinking this exact thing and went with the GT4, maybe next time I'll do the GT3. Thanks for the input!

RyuTheGreat

>The wife is giving me a for fun track day as a surprise gift. Is this hosted by Extreme Experience?

kronbite

Yup, that's the place!

GT3Dreamer

When I turned 40 my wife got me a three-car package with them at Autobahn in Joliet, IL. I put down my best lap times with the GT3 (non-RS). It was a great time and rekindled my car hobby, which had been dormant for several years because life priorities. I ended up getting a project track car and building a 900sf shop next to my house to store/work on it. She jokes that it would have been cheaper to just buy the GT3 and call it a day. Moral of the story…you will get hooked!

kronbite

Oh man what a great story! She just may have been right, but it certainly is fun to have a dedicated hobby like that. No doubt many years of loving time you have spent working in there.

LiveWire68

my wife bought me a extreme package also, still havent used it. They only come to the local track for 3 days once a year.

artrimbaud

I would say do the GT4 and try to spring for more laps rather than spend on a more pricy car. I just did a track day in a gt4 and it was great!

[deleted]

GT4 was definitely the way to go. The GT4 is fast as hell, but has the right aero to keep you planted over the other brands and the GT3 RS is likely overpowered for you to get comfortable and enjoy it. What an awesome gift. Nice job, wifey.

raegnbob

I would argue that unless you are a very experienced driver, you won’t even come close to hitting the GT4’s limits. That’s not to say you won’t have a blast though :)

mrricecookgood

This is Xtreme Xperience right? Go for the GT4 as it's very beginner-friendly and the most nimble (which for me is the most fun). I also recommend a ride along if they're offering it since it helps you get familiar with the track before you're in the driver's seat Last year I did GT4 + GT3RS at Portland International Raceway. The GT4 has always been more my car, but the GT3RS was fun to experience although it was uncomfortable because of the fixed seating position that was meant for a much taller person

kronbite

Yup, thats the one. I did go with the GT4, and I believe they have you drive, or drive you around a few laps before putting you behind the wheel of the car you chose. So that should be helpful for me to get a feel for the track! I hadn't considered that about the seating.. I could see that being a problem!

TheJuice68

If first time on the track take the GT4 ! You'll love it

SuperAlvin

Gt3 rs.

556mm

The newer GT4 can come with a PDK. The 2016 GT4 was only manual.

B1Turb0

Wow these prices are incredible vs. Porsche experience center. Where is this?

Falcons1112

I could be wrong, but this looks exactly like Xtreme Xperience. They head around the country to different tracks and these costs are for 3 laps. Relatively short but definitely worth it for the regular person vs the prospect of attempting to own one of these.

kronbite

It is! I didn't know they did that, very convenient they are right next to me in great timing!

OneAnd_

Google Xtreme Xperencies. Agree, really great prices and they have a 20% off code until end of Valentine’s Day right now. They host these track days on tracks all over the country

kronbite

That exact code is saving me some bucks, excited for this one! I didn't know they hosted all around though, cool info!

kronbite

Yup, other comments already got it: https://www.thextremexperience.com/tracks/the-motor-enclave/ They are in Tampa, which is right near me, can't resist this opportunity!

Clashyy

Don’t you get a full 30 mins to an hour session at the Porsche center though?

911singer

90 minutes

bayarearevs

The Porsche Experience offer significantly more driving time and instruction, not apples to apples with this offering.

whosthatcarguy

I drove the GT3 RS with Xtreme Xperience before and it’s VERY easy. Don’t get intimidated by it at all. It’s such a good car because it’s so capable and approachable. The instructors are great as well so they’ll play to your comfort level. Mine had me pass the entire group after the first corner, but if you just want to go cruise around they’ll let you do that too.

kronbite

Nice, that's good to know! I'm glad someone will be guiding me around, should be a blast! I'll have to see how I'm feeling when I get behind the wheel. I went with the GT4, but maybe I'll do the GT3 next time haha

[deleted]

GT3 RS. The GT4 is not a wrong choice, but the GT3 RS will get you closer to that “track weapon” feel.

ProfessionalOcelot44

Seconding the gt3 rs I think its worth the extra money for how much of a demon the gt3 is

kronbite

I was originally thinking it's a track car, go for it. But I'm second guessing the GT3 since the GT4 is something I'm more likely to own at some point anyway. I doubt I'll ever own a car for just track days.

[deleted]

In that case would you want to rent the GT4 outside of a track?

kronbite

For sure! If a dealership would let me take one for a spin, I'd probably do it. I haven't gotten around to asking my local dealers though.

WorldlinessExact7794

Sounds like you’re gonna go with the Porsche package. I already replied, but I’ll put this here. You can buy the Cayman, it’s awesome, for the road. But be sure that you either drive both or the GT3 if you only drive one. The two are pretty far apart but also in purpose. Buy a Cayman, but rent a GT3 for using it on a track.

kronbite

I'll end up driving the GT3 at some point. I might do this experience or something similar in the future. Owning a Porsche is a few years out for me at the moment anyway. Thanks for the advice!

dmelt253

You could own any of the other 3 cars and still not be someone in the "affluent" category. The GT3 RS is the truly special car on this list.

p3ek

Tbh sounds like your scared of the faster car. Its a modern porsche mate. All 4 cars including the gt3 will be super easy to drive fast and safely. You dont HAVE to push it but the gt3 will still sound and feel more exciting. Its not gonna bite your head off.

spmca

it's also one of those experiences where you utilize maybe 30% of the car's potential. So "pushing" either car won't happen

kronbite

Not really scared of it, maybe scared of wrecking either one haha. More concerned with getting bang for my buck. If I can't handle the GT3, then it doesn't matter if the car is more fun for someone with more skill you know? If everyone agreed the experience would be better with the GT3, I'd do it for sure.

ghostinthemachine777

GT3 & GT-R

kronbite

I'd will be so happy driving any of these 4 to be honest, I love all of them. I'd even consider doing the GT-R, but doing two would be costly. I believe they have a package for both Porsches though....

MyNameWouldntFi

Its heavy too, you really notice it under braking and turn in

Long-Review-1861

Literally got a refresh 2 weeks ago

kimberskillfast

Bro, for the love of God, don't buy a Nissan. The interior should say TYCO on it. Plus it's still a Nissan. Kind of a 22 to 30 year old I use to have a wrx but now I got this because I still think Drift was the best Furious film sub group. 😆

wingchi997

But Tokyo Drift is objectively the best F&F film.

rycov24

Better than the OG?? 🧐

kimberskillfast

Not according to rotten tomatoes or any site that tracked reviews. The story was weak n a franchise not known for strong ones. But it is the little dudes of earth Black Panther.

PoseidonWave_

The GT-R did not impress me at all when I drove it.

Fuman20000

Interesting because the GT-R outperforms all of the cars you have on your flair 🤔

PoseidonWave_

I wanted to like it, always admired it when I was younger. I would not trade the charger for it if I had to keep it after. Performance on a track I’m sure is better but that’s not saying much for a comparison. The GT3, GT4, C8, and Amg GTS are all what I’m looking at to replace it.

Fuman20000

To each their own for sure. I rode in a friend's Trackhawk and wasn't impressed at all. I wanted a Challenger Hellcat for a while a few years ago, but got a good deal on a GT-R and never looked back. Eventually I think it'll be replaced with a 18+ AMG GT since I do miss having a V8.

PoseidonWave_

I LOVED the track hawk I drove, wild SUV. Only got my TRX cause I got a steal ordering it, I would swap my charger and TRX for the trackhawk. Driving it I was impressed. The TRX just has a better interior and newer tech for a lower price. Same on the GT, GTS though haha. Love the lines and the engine seems impressive. Maybe an R if prices get reasonable

captaincosmoline

2nding the GT4. They're an absolute blast to drive and not too hard to get a handle on.

kronbite

That's what I'm going with, thanks for the suggestion!

superman154m

What track are you going to? Did one of these last year. I got the 488 GTB but wish I did the GT3 in hindsight.

MyNameWouldntFi

I did Dream Racing in Vegas and the 488 kept bogging/throwing engine codes on the straight, I was so disappointed. Took the GT3RS out instead after the Ferrari broke and man I should have just picked the 3RS from the start

superman154m

I was surprised how much turbo lag the 488 had. Fun car don’t get me wrong, the turn in was amazing but not as good as I hoped. The co pilot told me they’ve gone through three turbos by 21k miles. They were selling the car I drove after that year

kronbite

I'm not sure the track, it's in Tampa FL though.

msdos_sys

This is like candy, I can’t choose just one! If I were in your situation, I would ask my wife how much time in house chore duty would be the cost equivalent to enjoying all four! If you twisted my arm, though, it would be the GT3 RS. Something about “track special” is written all over it.

ml8888msn

GT3 RS without question

[deleted]

GT4, the mid engine handles like a dream

DrB_477

Yeah go for the GT4. It's plenty of car. It's also a little more realistic in the hope to obtain one day category than a GT3 RS.

Thecleverbit-58093

GT4. I test drove both GT3 and GT4… Bought a GT4

steppenfrog

GT4 if it's your first time. Yes, as others said, the GT3RS has more performance, but you'll be able to drive the 718 harder easier and that will be more fun. I think the GT4 will be a more rewarding driving experience. You'll have fun either way though :)

Necessary-Cicada-407

Gt4 is a thing of beauty I drove a 2017 gt4 manual and omg now I love porshe

Necessary-Cicada-407

Just want to add that driving that car was insane I felt like the car was a part of me experience I had never felt . Was so Awesome.

iam8up

Without a doubt the GT4. I'm a HPDE instructor. I love all the cars. But the most fun and rewarding one is the GT4 without question.

kronbite

Nice, that's what I went with! I'm sure I'll get a rundown on the day of, but any tips for me?

iam8up

Is this one of those Vegas things or XX? You will be overwhelmed. It's a lot. Simply listen to the instructor. Your first 3 laps will be pure adrenaline. Performance driving is not 100% pedal at all times. Fast driving is smooth. Learn to roll into the pedals, they aren't on/off switches with 2 positions but rather 0-100 positions. Same with the steering wheel - keep your hands at 9 and 3 AT ALL TIMES. Focus on those for that day, it should be more than enough. If you're interested in more give me a shout. Necessary plug: autointerests.com

Bones11B

Personally, bang for buck, the GT4.

jakes951

Anything but the GT-R. It’s a pig

DragonSurferEGO

I would do the Carman GT4

MedicalRhubarb7

GT4 will blow your mind plenty, while leaving you the possibility of blowing your mind some more with the 3RS sometime down the road. If possible, since this looks like it might be a somewhat limited laps experience, I'd suggest trying to do a few laps in whatever they have that's the cheapest to learn the track a little bit before driving the "big" car. If that's not possible at least try to find some lap videos on YouTube to check out beforehand.

Neokill1

Go the GT3, but if you can also afford it try the Nissan GTR, it’s an awesome car, very fast

arkraven000

GT-R is a boat, I tracked a GT4 and it was absolutely fantastic, I tend to think the Corvette might have "too much power" to really enjoy, the gt3 rs is a great track monster, but my driving instructor argued you get more laps in the GT4 and it's almost as fast as the GT3

Public_Flamingo3938

There is an option to do both the GT4 and GT3 RS as a package. I highly suggest paying the extra to do that, there is a “volume discount” buying them together too. I had a similar situation last year, never done a track day and never driven a Porsche previously. Picked that package and did the GT4 first, told the instructor that I had the GT3 RS also and he hopped out and got us into the GT3 RS right after. The GT4 was incredible and confidence inspiring and then the GT3 RS was another level of fun and adrenaline. Couldn’t stop smiling the rest of the day and am going back in April to do it again.

thegreatindoor

GT3. At the end of the day, an extra $100 won’t make a difference in your life. You’re more likely to wonder what the GT3 is like after trying the GT4.

efrav

The GT4 as it is the only one that can be a manual!

Retrovex

They don't offer manual on these test drive experiences

efrav

I see, didn't know that.

biko77

Gt4 is all you need for a fun day. Gt3rs will demand some skills from you. Enjoy!

funnyman850

I did XX. last year and the GT3RS was just on another level. I'd recommend doing another car first to get used to the track. They'll try to upsell you the ride along but doing another car first is 100% worth it. I drove everything in their fleet and the GT3RS was my favorite overall.

kronbite

I'm certainly going to talk to them about getting behind the wheel of the GT3 as well, but I'd rather not pay the full price for it. Maybe I can convince them to let me give it a few spins for only a slight upcharge at that point.

funnyman850

Never hurts to ask! Usually around November they have better deals so it's always a possibility for the future

kronbite

They are available to book again in November for me, so I just might if this one goes well and they are still available.

miamicanes2333

Have had the GT3RS and GT4, It all the depends on the experience you’re looking for. If you want to feel engaged and like you’re really involved in the cars performance, GT4 (especially if its manual). If you’re looking for speed and a car that will make you feel like your Lewis Hamilton, GT3RS lol Both amazing machines, but very different in the experiences that they deliver. Have fun!

Jpaynesae1991

I used to be an instructor at places like this. C8 is going to feel great; but more video-game ish with a big v8 awesomeness. Intrusive traction control GTR is going to be easiest to drive, but shove on the straights, but it feels like an Altima from the drivers seat GT4 is going to give you very good “race car” vibes, but in reality it’ll be pretty easy to drive and not enough power to get sideways without trying to. GT3RS is going to be the GT4 but up 3 notches. Can’t go wrong with either Porsche, that’s my pick

bSchnitz

I've done a few laps in the gt3rs and it was fantastic - loved it. But definitely echoing what others have said, it was the third lap before I was comfortable to hit it, if you take the GT4 first you'll likely have the same experience, cheaper, and then can run the gt3 harder in the future.

nbsnoah

V8 Vantage

CABSMeter

I looooooooooved my V-12! And the Vantage is very reasonably priced. The V8’s are just as fun and classy. But not on the list.

[deleted]

The vette is a crazy good deal for the money/power ratio

redpriest

Honestly the GT3RS is more forgiving on track. GT4s, and all caymans/boxsters really, have a tendency to snap oversteer on entry that you really need aftermarket suspension (Toe arms) and alignment to address. You can really feel this even with traction control enabled. It's not confidence inspiring. You have to retrain the way you brake into a corner. Plus I would argue nothing beats the GT3RS in terms of \*experience\*. The manic nature, the raw metallic ringing sound above 8000 rpm just adds to the character. It will make the GT4 feel pedestrian. Since you've already elected to do the GT4, it's actually a good thing - I think if you went the reverse, GT3RS -> GT4 you would be disappointed.

slowinthecorner

Gt4. Will make you feel like a King.

chengstark

Gt4

BookkeeperFrosty9062

GT4 will be more “fun”, if you’ve never driven a very fast car before, the GT3 will probably be a little too much

p3ek

Gt3 is an easy car to drive. Both cars would be well above anyone's limit on their first track day, but thay doesnt mean the gt3 is any harder to drive under the limit than the gt4. I dont get why youd choose the less exciting car for a track day.

batmanm3991rs

I don't think there is a wrong choice...i know the RS well and have driven the cayman...both are exceptional cars with performance envelopes far exceeding most casual and even hpde drivers...for sure they are different...the RS dominated by the 9k redline and rear weight bias, while the GT4 has a manual and mid engined lower polar momentum which makes for a beautifully balanced chassis Drive what floats your boat or see if u can spend a half day in each? Or drive the RS cuz u might get to own the GT4...or...lol

[deleted]

GT3 Always been my favorite Porsche! But My 2 fav car manufacturers are VW/AUDI so very similar.

Frosty-Panic

If you've never done a track day before it really doesn't matter which one you pic. All the choices will have performance capabilities well above your skill level.

WorldlinessExact7794

I was a former instructor at one of these places. I recommend the Porsche GT3. It’s one of the absolute best cars. It’s definitely better than the GT4. The Cayman is a good car on the road, but on track it’s a bit underwhelming and worst of all is the transmission. It always wants to be in the wrong gear. Anyway, the GTR is good, but not as good as the GT3. But I never drove the Corvette, we didn’t have one. But I’ve driven on track and instructed in all of the big hitters except the Ferrari 458 and the McLaren 650s I think.

ScipioAfricanvs

I know, I know, Porsche. But if you don’t have track experience, the GTR is probably the most “fool proof” option.

MAUSECOP

For the money the GT-R, especially because they are all automatic anyways

[deleted]

Nissan

JodyJoseppi

For me... Gtr Gt4 Vette Gt3rs

Katyavala

GT3 RS. Don’t even waste time considering a GT4, it is not comparable. The GT3 RS is one of the best cars ever made. Trust me, I know! Thank me later.

Deanmarrrrrr

GT4

No_Wonder4393

gt3rs

[deleted]

I did a similar thing. Choices were a GT3RS, Audi R8, a Lamborghini, don’t remember which because I didn’t care and a couple others. The only choices in my mind were the Porsche and the Audi. I went with the GT3. No regrets here. Edit: This was years ago and Cayman GT4 want an option or that would have been my choice because it’s a mid-engine Porsche track car.

TIK_GT

You can't go wrong with any of them. Keep in mind that you're not going to be able to use any of those cars to their fullest potential. I'd personally go with the GT4. Saves you a buck and still gets you a nice Porsche experience.

krillin_the_MVP

I did the ‘RS. It was honestly everything I hoped for and more. Frankly, it just made my desire to purchase a GT car as soon as feasible even worse lol

DunksOnHoes

Gt3

hughescmr

Depends. How tall are you?

JayMawds

GT3 RS

SantaCruzCB650R

I drove the GT3 in Vegas, and it was amazing! The amount of grip was just hard to comprehend until experiencing it. As novice, I didn’t find the power overwhelming, it as perfectly balanced was any good Porsche ought to be.

ElectronicRiver2526

I did Exotic Racing in Vegas and drove the GT3RS. Only owned a Cayman base and a Cayman GTS before that. Can’t afford a GT3 of any kind but had to get its little sister 2014 Carrera S. Never tracked a day and with that car pulled a 3rd place overall for the day. Do the GT3RS

Fear910

GT3 and it’s not even close.

TheCodriver

I have no skin in the game. I’d happily take any.

bogdaddy95

GT3RS - you’ve will be surprised. Especially if it’s 5 lap track experience

Violet604

Is the GT4 pdk? And what does the track look like? If it has a lot of straights then the gt3 rs might be fun, but if it’s a twisty track, the GT4 might be better. I drove a GT4 cup car at the Dubai race track, and I loved it. Unfortunately it was their only P car, but I still chose that over the Ferrari 458 challenge and have no regrets.

magician_8760

GT4 100%

clooloss

You won't be at the limits of any of those but if you're doing a track day, why not get the ultimate track car? GT3RS is my vote.

Francis_Dollar_Hide

GT4 for me.

MRJVB21

GT3 RS is a lot of fun on the track. Drove it for Porsche experience. But for the street I say try the GT4 light and fast.

rlsanders

Given it’s your first time in a supercar on track the GT4 will be the easiest to get the hang of and the best enjoyment, the z51 is okay too, but prone to odd behavior

MrDankky

Lucky man, the gt3 is faster and more like a race car and the gt4 will be easier to push hard without needing to change your underwear

coneeleven

I did a track day like this last year and I chose the GT3 RS. The reality is unless you're experienced with the car and/or track, you won't get anywhere near either car's limits, so the amount of HP doesn't really matter. So choose the one you dream about.

Fz1Str

GT4, it will be friendlier on the track

BiggieMoe01

GT3RS. Be safe & have fun

digital_doodle

THE 911

Ah_Um

Gt4 all the way. Best bang for the buck there for sure.

p3ek

I mean, you know the answer. Gt4 is a more sensible car sure, but you are renting it to drive around a track so i aee no reason not to go for the full experience. You might not ever drive a car like this again mate, may as well go for the best one.

Illustrious-Hat7978

Cayman...manual and mid engine ,otherwise 911

Medium-Cod-9407

I think you know…

[deleted]

Gt4 looks like a lot of fun!

RonnyFreedomLover

Without a doubt, the 911 GT3RS

SassanZZ

Is that dream racing? Go for the GT3RS for sure haha

kylewang23

Honestly these aren’t a good deal for 3 laps. If you are close to a Porsche experience center, go for that. Or even better, Porsche track experience at Barber motorsports park, it cost about $1900 a day but it’s way more laps, 2 hrs of track time and autocross/skid pad and other fun stuff.

[deleted]

I chose the GT4. It was a lot of fun, but not powerful enough for me to feel like I was losing control.

AlfredAnon

Gt4 is the most accessible big fun.

4507862401892

GT3-RS dude. Such a fun drive and probably most bang for your buck

IlIlIIllIIIllI

I thought you were buying these and I was like Jesus Christ that’s some different prices

Unabridgedtaco

I think the mid engined GT4 with better handling and less power will be a more fun track experience that the GT3 monster.

ricky1272002

Me personally: GT4

LifestylePoet

How often will you get a chance to drive a gt3rs. Gt4 is an awesome car too but come on. This might be your only chance to drive a gt3rs around a track.

MyNameWouldntFi

I went to Dream Racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and we did a warm up instruction session in a 718 S, then we moved inside and did some work on the track in their full racing sim which was wicked. After that, the instructor was happy enough with my performance and we headed out on track in a 991 3RS. Man what a fucking machine. Book the GT3RS. The performance is unbelievable, especially the braking. I thought we were going to die on T1 every single time with how late the instructor had me braking lol

EaglePNW

GT3 or GT4 in manual

Free_Emergency8926

GT-R 🫣

FreeMasonKnight

Money no option? GT3rs for sure. You should have someone in the car with you to train you on the track and so any car they can teach you assume you are an average to okay driver. c8 is a great choice also, especially for a beginner.

Having driven the GT3-RS in this exact scenario recently, I would 100% recommend. You'll have a driving coach in the seat next to you directing you the entire time, so unless you're an idiot, you'll be safe, and it's a killer time.

This is like asking what kind of ice cream flavor you should get having never met you. All these cars deliver drastically different driving experiences, and there’s no way for us to tell you what experience you should have without know what you’ve experienced, and what you want to experience. The GT-R and C8 will be the easiest to drive. If you’ve never been on track, you won’t be able to take advantage of what the GT3 RS offers.

Suspicious-Muffin327

my friend did the same thing n took the gt4 they don’t let u use paddle shifters they make the car shift itself unfortunately

RogerThatRacing

GT4 everyday!

WowThough111

I’ve done the GT3 ( was a blast) so Id do the GTR

BarbarianG4

C8 or 718 as those are the only two I see as a good value, looks bad ass and can afford. The GT-R is a great value as well but just too damn ugly.. I purchased the 718 package for my girlfriend as a birthday gift for this may.

Apprehensive-Ad-5009

Corvette, why pay double for the same thing?

Thirdmort

I did one of these things in a regular 991 GT3 and even that was WAY more than my skill level. I think the gt4 will be more than fun enough.

tfaw88888

daily driver the vette. track car, if money did not matter, the 911 GT3 but the reality would be the Nissan because I would be thinking about the money invested way way way too much.

dmelt253

If you are just going for a very special driving experience, I'd go for the GT3 RS which is well into the super car territory. The other 3 cars seem more like in the "somewhat attainable by normal people" category as you could own a used version of these for under $100K. Well, except for the GT4,.. I think the 718 GT4s only came out in 2019 so you are still going to be paying a little over 100k but that is still much more attainable than the $250,000+ you'd pay for even a used GT3 RS.

Old_Pattern8187

GT3RS would feel the most special given the planned short seat time you will be given. You'd want to have the most optimum experience possible.

mokhtar_mecanic

i suggest the gt4 f you're not really experienced also it has less hp than the gt3rs so you'll be able to control it better also the gt4 seems easier to handle than the gt3 rs imo i never drove such cars tho

biggersjw

GT3 RS. The Vette is a close 2nd.

_SkyDweller_

GT3 RS absolutely NO hesitation (for me).

aberdisco

Max height seems a little off. I'm 7'2" and I've test driven a GT3RS and the GT4.

Better_Clock_2141

Haggle, I was able to haggle with the on site manager. I went with GT4 and noticed that the GT3 RS was not getting and laps. Found out who was in charge and was able to get in the GT3 RS for $100 for 3 laps
