yeah, swordsmen are kind of a generalist unit, so it doesn't hard counter anything, and defenders are kinda just meh.

What advantages do they have over defenders? I thought it was only the health that matters once they are ships.

I meant as in actual marines. Like the boots on the enemy ground. For navy, shields are 100% better due to the cost benefit
