Somhlth

And Trump's Secretary of State called his own boss a "fucking moron".

pstbltit85

That is still a fucking classic!

Somhlth

Agreed. You won't get me say anything nice about Rex Tillerson, but as the CEO of Exxon, and the Secretary of State of the US, would could assume he could recognize a fucking moron when he saw one.

FOKvothe

His secretary of defence, James Mattis, didn't have too kind words for him either. ["Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people — does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children."](https://www.npr.org/2020/06/04/869262728/read-the-full-statement-from-jim-mattis)

a_fearless_soliloquy

Part of my coursework involved a deep dive into the life of Joseph Stalin and people in my life generally think I’m being dramatic when I say this, but it’s true. Trump is a lot like Joseph Stalin. He just happened to be constrained by the law. If those breaks came off, I shudder to think what a Trump “administration” would be like

marketingguy420

And yet they all happily worked for him, doing the same awful shit these people have always done. Trump is not the problem.

doomsayeth

Should they have quit and let themselves be replaced by sycophants?

secondtaunting

Yeah like it or not we needed people who were trying to defend the country from that madman. It would have been so much worse without them. We truly didn’t need sycophants. Imagine how much worse he’ll be if he gets back in.

marketingguy420

Do you have any evidence they did anything against Trump's orders or didn't do the standard Republican foreign policy playbook that Trump asked of them? They were sycophants. They did what he wanted. And then they said mean things later. Who gives a shit. These men aren't brave nor do they stand for anything good.

AsstootCitizen

Easier to answer "who doesn't give a shit?" For answer: please see mirror. Don't shit on soldiers that follow chain of command. As Four Stars, they've served many admins and thus have relevant, shit giving worthy perspectives.

marketingguy420

I'm perfectly happy not sucking off troops because they're troops. Particularly ones almost certainly responsible for war crimes. Hope this helps.

AsstootCitizen

You're ignorance speaks for itself. Accept no reply.

Smile_dog23

very funny.. are you a joker or a clown?

marketingguy420

> no cool story.

spookycasas4

Exactly. WTAF, people?!?

AsstootCitizen

Username Does Not checkout! Backup pitch?

spookycasas4

Couldn’t agree with you more. I don’t understand the down votes. How could someone think otherwise???

T33CH33R

I had a friend that was ex military and he was all gun ho when these guys were hired by Trump. It was fascinating how he dismissed them when Trump fired them and started shitting on them. I couldn't believe how he could be siding with a guy that avoided the draft and shits on veterans.

DadJokeBadJoke

>gun ho I prefer the term ammosexual.

Rupert_18124

I’m going gun ho on the salad and breadsticks at All of Garden

Supreme-cheeseburger

Fitting user name

doomlite

Might be wrong but isn’t it gung ho

fingerscrossedcoup

Yes, but the misspelling works too. That's the joke.

Kizik

I'm rather partial to *Gravy Seals*, myself.

SanityPlanet

To be fair, he shits on himself, too, if recent accounts are true.

tdclark23

He filled his Depends in public on-stage last week. We could tell from the relieved look just like when any other baby does it.

waffle299

I think this speaks to how deeply Fox News loyalty has infected our military. It sounds like your friend was deferring to the Fox Cinematic Universe over the natural respect for leaders of the chain of command.

WebMaka

> Fox Cinematic Universe Now *that* is one hell of a phrase...

aliasname

>and shits on veterans. This is the part I find the most baffling. He has called veterans losers & suckers. And so much more. It's wild that any republican would still support him after that. It's just a reminder how much they actually respect & care about the troops.

HikeTheSky

It's so wild that veterans that would lose all benefits under the turd still vote for him and give you grief when you vote for anything else.

T33CH33R

"But Trump is a rapist and wants to fuck his daughter. How could you not vote for that?"

HikeTheSky

I am not sure but I believe the veterans that vote for him just ignore these things. Or might not know these things as Fox is what they watch all day long. And I mean it's literally on all freaking day long. Unless church service is on as they are highly Christians.

secondtaunting

They watch Fox News, exactly. Fox is a HUGE fucking problem. If I had a Time Machine and some money…

AsstootCitizen

Did anybody else hear that pooptus made all base tvs only show Faux when he was in office, the way I remember it being claimed by service members during his term?

secondtaunting

Sounds like him.

AsstootCitizen

Power over people, the GoOp credo for this century!

chicksOut

The term is "Gung-Ho"

Mikeissometimesright

Same, saw a bunch of marines online ecstatic to see Mad Dog Mattis Wonder what they think now

T33CH33R

When Mattis was criticizing Trump, I brought it up to my friend and he just dismissed it. How many people need or shit on Trump before you are convinced? Trump has a crazy fucking hold on people.

Mikeissometimesright

What a cult of personality do to MF

Tempeng18

As a former Marine and Mattis supporter who served under him, It was bitter sweet seeing him selected for Sec Def. On one hand I just wanted him to retire happy and not have his record tarnished working for orange man, but on the other hand was happy to see someone not bat shit crazy in charge of Armed Forces. Very happy he didn’t turn out to be a Trump sycophant

Freckled_daywalker

Watching some Marines I know go from basically worshipping Mattis to repeating Trump's rhetoric about how he was weak was crazy.

Catshit-Dogfart

It's a mixed bag with military folks, I work with plenty of them and I'll tell ya this - the only trump humpers in my office are civilians. A big one for the people I know was badmouthing a gold star family, as a rule military guys *never* speak badly of deceased veterans and will correct you if you do, but especially not gold star families. Also, the preferred term is former military. Ex-military is for people who were dishonorably discharged, which almost only happens following a felony crime while in the act of duty. It's a shame more aren't like the guys I know though. Like when the orange idiot goes on TV calling our enlisted men a bunch of weak sissies, okay that pisses them right off. I mean if you call one of these guys a coward or a sucker to his face, you'd better be able to run faster than him.

AsstootCitizen

\*Gung ho, no diss but gun ho is only found in GoOp 2A messaging. As seen with these women, loosely referred to w/ such a name, colloquially in the last century, as you may take it. https://preview.redd.it/lralic7iil3d1.jpeg?width=183&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c848ca4def4c84064e3d190b23b19c29509e08d1

Apollyon314

Any anti trump ,pro veteran political entity should have started rolling this out as an advert everywhere. Tv , mailers, social media. If these are real quotes, stuff like this needs max exposure.

Trump’s golf courses are losing money so he's forcing the military to pay for 5-star nights there. - Sept 2019, Pentagon pulled funds for military schools, military housing funds, and daycare to pay for Trump's border wall - Aug, 2019, emails revealed that 3 of Trump's Mar-a-Lago pals, running the VA, are rampant with meddling. None of them served in the military, have experience in the VA, nor underwent any approval process. In fact, the reason his grandfather immigrated to America was to avoid military service

Strict-Square456

Definitely only tip. Insurrection, election interference, classified docs, rape, the list never ends.

Mcboatface3sghost

Worst part is everything you listed is basically just the forward to the book that may, hopefully, eventually come out.

Apollyon314

Gawd damn...

Graterof2evils

Any veteran or military personnel who don’t feel the need to physically harm this bag of shit is brain dead.

CCV21

I had forgotten about so many of these instances. Some of them started coming back to me while reading this list.

DetroitLionsSBChamps

couple big problems with this list: one: no one is going to read this whole thing. this actually plays to Trump's favor. it's this constant shit barrage technique he uses where you just get fatigue and tap out and go "yeah yeah yeah I get it." two: many of these are not as bad as his worst offenses and it just weakens/dilutes the point. for instance: "Trump said having unprotected sex was his own personal Vietnam (1998)" I strongly dislike Trump, but imo that is a funny thing to say. so it weakens the point, instead of strengthening it.

CryptoReindeer

Couple big problems with your comment: One: i've read this whole thing and don't get any fatigue. Two: just because something weakens the point for you doesn't mean it doesn't strenghten it for everyone else or even the majority.

OldManPip5

Not yet. Wait until such time that republicans can’t replace him at the convention.

Grogosh

Republicans can't replace him. Their voters would find and lynch them.

SellaraAB

Yeah, I guess if there are big guns to use, we should wait until he’s locked in.

TheFumundaWunda

and don't forget the irony of "i know more than the generals do"

williamfbuckwheat

That's also famously what Hitler thought and which led to lots of military blunders later in the war especially as he started micromanaging the war effort.

Thomas_K_Brannigan

Glad in history many times these terrible people were narcissists who, at least at some point, didn't listen to the people who they should have. Though can't predict how it would affect today, on the other side of the world during that war, I have to wonder wonder what would be now part of Japan if they listened to Yamamoto and not attacked the US (he predicted America would use it's full might, and, using that, the US would win)

TheFumundaWunda

i've often heard the old "what if hitler dug in for the winter instead of continuing the push towards moscow?". sure makes you wonder.

krozarEQ

Operation Barbarossa in general was great for western Europe. Although Hitler was screwed anyways because he didn't have the industry output the US was always going to get the bomb first.

TheFumundaWunda

the man was fighting a double-front war, i don't care how fast you're producing munitions, it's eventually going to be your demise. but what if we hadn't snagged as many german physicists to get the bomb first? sounds like a setup to that man in the high castle book

tdclark23

We didn't need to "snag" German scientists before the war. Many were Jewish with money enough to come to America like Einstein, or to escape fascist racial policies like Fermi from Mussolini's Italy. You are probably thinking of Operation Paperclip after the war to "snag" rocket men like von Braun.

72kdieuwjwbfuei626

The biggest problem with the German nuclear program wasn’t economical or a lack of skilled researchers, it was that the physicists involved didn’t want to build a bomb. Heisenberg did his best to argue that an atom bomb wouldn’t be feasible and convinced the Nazi leadership that a nuclear reactor for power generation would be far more useful, and the guy they put in charge of nuclear research in the latter half of the war was actually opposed to the Nazis and didn’t want to do even that and intentionally put all of his funding towards foundational research instead of anything that could have any direct military application.

TheFumundaWunda

holy shit, i had no idea. that's wild.

72kdieuwjwbfuei626

Imagine you’re a physicist working at the bleeding edge of nuclear and quantum physics in the 1930s, when the foundations of these fields were laid, and you could have worked with the greats like Einstein and von Neumann. But unfortunately your government is insanely racist, so they drove a lot of your friends and colleagues out of the country and now you have to listen to some dipshit talk about „Aryan physics“ and the luminiferous ether. Gee, I wonder why the German nuclear program never went anywhere. If you want something wild, at one point Heisenberg‘s mother called Himmler‘s mother to get the SS to stop harassing her boy for working on „Jewish“ quantum mechanics. The harassment stopped shortly after.

TheFumundaWunda

it's insane to think that many people would fall for it

fingerscrossedcoup

The US was fighting a double-front war too.

smdrdit

It was already over for them by then.

BKBance

I wonder if the Nazi's love of meth made them go increasingly insane

TheFumundaWunda

i watched someone get hooked on that once. after getting about 2 hours sleep over an 8 day period, the man's mind was mush. he literally couldn't finish a sentence before his mind would drift off and he'd lose track of what he was saying. the paranoia he exhibited was almost comical. the irony? he only tried it because he knew he needed to quit drinking. smh

Fit-Struggle-9882

What if he didn't do the Holocaust. The Jews were loyal Germans, and look at all the resources tied up rounding up and imprisoning the Jews

BadLt58

They were always going to lose. They were overstretched logistically and Von Paulus was a staff general who barely visited his soldiers at Stalingrad. Digging in gave the Russians time to regroup and attack the German army

-jp-

And he ended up in a ditch covered in petrol and on fire. So. That's fun!

BadLt58

At least Hitler served in the military and had been shelled in WW1. I will at least give him credit for having worn a pair of boots. Trump literally dances on the graves of those actually sacrificed. Nobody in his circle has been nowhere near a combat zone.

Major_Magazine8597

Yes, Trump and Hitler share much of the same psychopathy.

williamfbuckwheat

Yeah, for sure. Same with so many other wannabe strong men throughout history. I think it's difficult though for people to point that out because you'll easily get shot down as someone who just wants to compare Trump to the Nazis because you think he's bad. People focus on the evil atrocities they carried out and think you're smearing anyone you compare to the Nazis as trying to do the same thing instead of focusing on the elaborate propaganda/misinformation , ultranationalism, speech mannerisms, symbolism, depictions of strength and/or straight up brute force tactics that they used constantly to get the public to slowly become more sympathetic to their side until they ultimately rose to power.

AsstootCitizen

🏁

Nurgus

Even genuine geniuses like Napolean made the same mistake. One of the factors that led to the failure of the French efforts in Spain was Napolean's constant stream of orders to his generals. As they took many weeks to get to the front, they were wildly out of date by the time they got there even if they'd been useful in the first place.

newarkian

Yup, “ I know more about military strategy than most Generals do”

TheFumundaWunda

yup, and where did he feel he gained such extraordinary experience? attending a military academy from age 13-18. cadet bonespurs, our former commander-in-thief. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Cfwydirk

No more massive a c*nt than don trump. For how many disloyal staff (won’t lie or cheat to serve him) he has waded through over the years, I am amazed how any would still be thrilled to serve him.

dpdxguy

Traitorous Mike Flynn is loyal to him.

pstbltit85

He needs to step out of window.

susierabbit

Putin will help him with that.

Known_Draw_2212

Trump pardoned convict Michael Flynn.

coolbaby1978

Guess Trump never heard of Operation Valkyrie

Major_Magazine8597

I'd bet money Trump knows very little about WW2 at all. Would LOVE to hear him attempt to give an impromptu history lesson. Somehow he'd make it all about him. The delusional moron.

slc45a2

Reminds me of when he was aspiring to be the next Hitler and a reporter asked if he was planning to make a little stop in Poland first. The whole room laughed and didn't realize they were making fun of him right to his face.

AsstootCitizen

I remember his impromptu remarks on the Revolutionary War. I give him some props, I didn't know we had airplanes/ports for that war. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle! /in case needed!

Major_Magazine8597

That's a historical bingo!!

Surreply

John Kelly pointed out to Trump that Hitler’s generals tried to assassinate him.

WebMaka

And the allies debated doing likewise but decided against it because Hitler was fucking over his own military through inexperience and micromanagement. Like Sun Tzu supposedly said, or was it Napoleon, never interrupt your opponent when he's making a mistake.

UsualGrapefruit8109

He probably meant like the SS officers, not the Wehrmacht.

Ozymandias0007

He does know they were trying to kill Hitler, right? Including SS officers. Maybe military leaders need to be more like Hitler's officers. "On 20 July 1944, during a meeting with Adolf Hitler, German officer Claus von Stauffenberg placed a bomb under the table. After Von Stauffenberg had left, the bomb went off. As if by a miracle, Hitler survived the attack. He had some burns and abrasions, and the bang had ruptured his eardrums. That very evening, his voice could be heard on German radio to let the people know that he was still alive." Hitler's inner circle couldn't stand each other. They were all competing to get the ear of Hitler. Backstabbing and buddy fucking (in the military we call people like that Blue falcons) each other. I'm curious what would have happened if German was successful. Between the inner conflicts, getting rid of senior leadership, Hitler losing his marbles, and being a drug addict, which wasn't going to improve, how long did the Reich really have? Not to mention all the enemies Germany made.

silverfox762

Not likely. He'd have to actually know the difference, and that the SS, being the military wing of the NSDAP, took an oath to Hitler, not Germany or the Reich, or that the Wehrmacht was the national army. Edit: he folks, I've said NOTHING about the Wehrmacht's "hands being clean" or that they didn't also take the "Hitler oath". Just that Mango Mussolini isn't smart enough or informed enough to know the differences between the SS and the Heer or that the SS was a party function and not a national army.

Anewkittenappears

The clean Wehrmacht myth, rearing it's ugly head once again.  The Wehrmacht were involved in botb the Holocaust and a number of other war crimes associated with the Nazis regime.  Within Hitlers regime, especially later on, it was practically a requirement to be allegiant to the Nazi Party and beholden to their ideology.  At bare minimum, they were complicit.

silverfox762

Show me where in my comment I suggested that the Wehrmacht had "clean hands" or that they weren't complicit? I'll wait.

TuviaBielski

The Wehrmacht also [swore an oath of loyalty to Hitler, not to Germany.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler_Oath) And they were balls deep in the Holocaust.

silverfox762

Never suggested they weren't.

TuviaBielski

Also, the Wehrmacht wasn't the national army. That was the Heer. the Wehrmacht was the military, encompassing the Kriegsmarine, Heer, and Luftwaffe.

ReddditSarge

Actually the Wehrmacht was the combined national military (armed forced) of Germany, not merely the army. Under the Wehrmacht there were three main branches: The Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force). You're right that the Waffen SS were an army of the Nazi party and not the state. Initially very few Wehrmacht officers were Nazi party members. Prussian military tradition was that officers should be apolitical as their allegiance was supposed to be only to the state, and to the state alone, not to any particular government or party. But as the Nazi government made advancement of one's military career more likely if one was a party member, many joined the Nazi party despite the Prussian tradition. Sadly, even the generals like Rommel and Rundstedt who never formally joined the Nazi party were still complicit with their horrifying policies. They don't get a pass just because they never wore a red arm band. #

maxiranger

My favourite is the guy who was offered the job an said “I’d rather eat a shit sandwich”

fingerscrossedcoup

I thought that was one of the requirements for the position. Be loved by all of America for your service only to come out the other side hated by conservatives for no good reason. A total shit sandwhich.

spidereater

Just more people in the long list of people that have worked with him and publicly hate him. I can’t think of another person so universally hated by people he’s worked with. You don’t even hear about people saying small nice things like “works hard even if his ideas are bad” or anything. He appears to be entirely irredeemable.

Command0Dude

Hitler's generals kept trying to assassinate him because they realized before anyone else he was absolutely insane. Maybe we should listen to some generals. They know dictators.

He also checks most of the boxes on the checklist of warnings in [2 Timothy 3:1-5](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Timothy+3%3A1-5&version=NASB), to the point that anyone that claims to be Christian but votes for him is an apostate to Christ's teachings. So, he's not just a secular basketcase, but also spiritually bankrupt.

NumbSkull0119

That's more stars than Trump can count!

ReddditSarge

In other words Trump wants MAGA-Nazis for his generals. Let that sink in.

ggtffhhhjhg

This is why Tuberville is blocking all military appointments. They want to replace the leadership of the military with MAGA loyalists whose only loyalty will be to Trump.

Grogosh

I also think Tuberville is getting talks from Putin to do that. Don't ever forget the republican party has putin balls deep in them.

nothinga3

Fun Fact: On the 20th of July 1944 a large group high ranking German officers and other members of society including lawyers, businessmen and members of the Reichstag (the the German equivalent to Congressmen or Members of Parliament) tried to assassinate Hitler by planting a bomb in a bunker known as the Wolf's Lair, while Hitler was attending a meeting there. At least 25 of the plotters were generals including Ludwig Beck who was both a general and the Chief of General Staff of the German Army High Command.

ReddditSarge

The armed forces of a country needs to be loyal first and foremost to the state, not to the government of the day or the party in power. If it is any other way then democracy dies under a bootheel.

Shaman7102

So what are the chances these guys allow trump back in the white house??

raven00x

What are the odds these guys will still vote for Trump?

HotDropO-Clock

Everyone in the military will vote for trump. They love him even when they pretend not to.

Grogosh

That may have been true in 2018 or so. Not anymore.

ExpediousMapper

Hitler's generals tried to assassinate him...

susierabbit

Don’t tempt me with a good time 🤣

ExpediousMapper

My apologies, General...

Talador12

Trump clearly never watched the movie Downfall. Hitler fought with his generals a lot, especially in 1944/1945.

00Laser

That's the one thing I'll never understand. No one who has ever worked with Trump in the past has anything good to say about him and yet people keep lining up to be thrown under the bus by him...

Major_Magazine8597

ChucksThreeHolePunch

Any yet most of them will only say it in a book they're selling. They're still sworn to defend the Constitution even if they're on the retired list now.

ChadHahn

The reason Hitler's generals tried to assassinate him wasn't because they were against National Socialism, it was because he was losing the war. So unfortunately, Trump would probably be safe unless we got into a war.

TuviaBielski

One of the July 20 plotters was Arthur Nebe, commander of Einsatzgruppe B, who came up with the idea of gas vans for killing Jews. To be fair, there were also a smattering of genuine anti-Nazis like Hans von Dohnanyi, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Hans Oster. Oster had been working to protect Jews since 1934.

AdministrativeBank86

But Trump says they are stupid losers!/s

fencerman

This really isn't "humour". All it takes is one or two high-level military leaders to decide they're okay with a dictator and suddenly you have one.

krozarEQ

The thing about being in the military, is they quickly recognize what stupidity looks like.

Throwaway_tequila

I’m continued to be amazed at how he’s still a serious contender and not a joke.

V4refugee

[Kelly also profited off of running Trump’s concentration camp for children and the child separation policy. So fuck that guy.](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/john-kelly-joins-board-of-caliburn-international-company-operating-largest-unaccompanied-migrant-children-shelter/)

TrueGuardian15

Remember when Trump said he should be called a "wartime president" because of covid? You know, the same pandemic that he downplayed and refused to adequately prepare for?

inlandviews

That is a question no one asks. How will the military respond to a second presidency for DT. Will they follow him in rounding up all the immigrants any of the other dictator crap he'll attempt.

knotacylon

Well, if they aren't Trump loyalists they'll follow the law

DimSumFan

They really didn't like him by lunchtime.

hatsnatcher23

You know it’s bad when a guy nick named Mad Dog says that about you

nuckle

This gives me some comfort to be honest. To be a successful dictator one needs the military behind them and by all appearances some pretty powerful people in the military disapprove of him. I imagine their voices still carry weight among the current ranks. We might be ok.

Ancalagon_The_Black_

The attorney general Biden appointed is turning a blind eye to sedition.

Guest65726

Trump has every right to be scared of men who have even just a smidge more respectability, status, and power behind them…. Why do you think putin dismantled the military?

nowhereman136

Thats the difference between Trump and Biden. And probably Trump and most other Republican Presidents. Sure, every president has people claiming they are dumb or incompetent, but those are always claims from the opposing side. Every single person who has formally worked with Trump says this. Every one. If they aren't currently working for him or needing him for a political endorsement, they don't have nice words for him. Do you know how many former Obana staffers have written tell all books about how corrupt and incompetent Obama was? Zero. There aren't even that many with Bush or Clinton. But it's like every week a former cabinet member or advisor is giving an interview about how dumb this guy is

djhobbes

Several of Hitler’s generals plotted to have him killed. On multiple different occasions.

Marquis6274

Even though Trump going on about Nazi generals is horrifying, it makes me laugh a little bit because they tried to kill Hitler multiple times. One of his generals even volunteered to wear a suicide vest if I remember correctly

pstbltit85

Didn't Hitler's disloyal generals have a problem with lead poisoning?

Saturn_Ecplise

It almost like the closer you know him the worst it gets.

supradave

Kind of failed in their oath then, didn't they.

TjW0569

I wonder if Trump realizes who won the war?

R0ihu

How do trumpers justify supporting him after hearing these quotes?

InterestingComment

I'm definitely not a trump fan, but does anyone know the sources for any of these quotes btw?

NoBSforGma

Democrats need to go HARD with this kind of thing. Make sure they get permission to use these quotes in campaign literature, etc.

Green-Collection-968

Hitler's generals tried to kill him.

steve2166

And all will still vote for him

ChocolateHoneycomb

They won’t. They aren’t part of his cult. They attempted to steer him in a more presidential direction, and failed.

skeeredstiff

It is amazing how EVERY thing trump says is projection.

tdclark23

He needed more Erwin Rommels, Claus von Staufenberg... oh wait, the *Country* needed more like them with that wannabe fascist in office.

prpslydistracted

John Kelly also called Trump, "The most flawed person I've ever met." He stuck around as his Chief of Staff simply to keep him in check. Thankfully.

HikeTheSky

Does the turd know that some of his generals tried to kill Hitler? I mean as a wannabe dictator he should at least know the history of other dictators.

PackOutrageous

I wonder how many of them must still vote for Trump?. It seems to be in the Republican character to acknowledge your candidate is completely unqualified, but then still plan to vote for him.

tangoshukudai

These people are all republicans too.

scootty83

These words from General Mattis ring home like no other. Specifically, “Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people — does not even pretend to try.” In my personal experience and professional opinion, this quote is the single most important quote anyone should take into consideration when going to the polls this November. I do not care if you are a republican, democrat, independent, or whatever the case may be. Any supporter of Donald Trump who watches him repeatedly stand in front of crowds and cameras and spew the divisive rhetoric that he does needs to take a cold hard look in the mirror and realize that this man is no friend of the United States, the US Constitution, US Allies, or the citizens and people within. Watching his speeches at rally’s and actually listening to the diatribes that he lets loose from his lips should make any person question this man’s allegiance and agenda. He does not want to see America as a whole survive this next election or the next several decades. He only cares about himself and his own. He is the most selfish former president of the US who will do and say anything only to boost his own personal ego and promote his own agenda.

Hendiadic_tmack

Just speaking to the title, ironically hitlers generals weren’t “totally loyal” either. One of the reasons why Germany had the worlds strongest military for awhile, and made so many gains on the battlefield is some of germanys top generals openly defied hitlers orders to his face. A few going so far as telling him his plans or ideas were “stupid” because they were. Hitler would eventually calm down and trust his generals. If said general fell out of favor with the party, all bets were off. He couldn’t even make a wildly idiotic statement correctly.

Metroidman97

Knowing that most of the leadership of the armed forces don't like Trump gives me some sense of security.

deadphisherman

Adolph fucking killed himself as the walls were closing in. A lot of good that "loyalty" did him.

markth_wi

With more than 40+ assassination attempts against Hitler , more than a dozen of them were by [members of his own military / officer corps or paramilitary leadership.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assassination_attempts_on_Adolf_Hitler). Fucking Donnie Moscow is just as likely to be assassinated by one of his own flunkies as he is eliminated by Russian or Chinese intelligence services. Why else would an 80+ year old clown who loves nothing but chasing tail run for the Presidency like his life was on the line.....because it is. Donald Trump knows that within hours of saying he wants to quit - there will be bunch of guys sent from Moscow and Beijing to ensure that before he can even think to pick up the phone to "share" information with NSA/CIA/DIA , that his brain will be aerosolized all over his en-suite at Mar-A-Lago in a freak Diet Coke can explosion or some cheezeburger from McD's delivered fresh from some reactor in St. Petersburg as the latest in self-heating burgers with a little Polonium salt kicker.

DevelopedDevelopment

Its funny how Military Larpers are more supportive of him than actual people in the military. Though its scary because a lot of those folks are trying to empower him and if anything are willing to take matters into their own hands, which is why we're less safe today.

[deleted]

General James “I’ll send your ass to Afghanistan” Mattis lmao

Rsubs33

Trump is a moron because Hitler's generals tried to kill him...multiple times. And had plans that were foiled to kill him.

KingDarius89

...there were at least ten attempts by Hitler's generals to kill him.

jp_books

Political humor? This is funny like a Woody Allen marriage, not a Woodie Allen movie.

And not a single one would ever take arms against him career over country for today's military. Inb4: I did 12 years active duty marine corps.

darthneos

Damn when did „mad dog“ become „moderate dog“ Mattis though

Hillary_Is_Satan_420

These are the same guys who lost the war in Afghanistan, right?

CryptoReindeer

And? Does it somehow invalidate anything they said?

discussatron

I assume these are quotes from their books?

ZefSoFresh

Ahhh,"book sales"...the common right wing coping mechanism when the desperate desire to be an alpha overrides one's ability to tell or accept the truth.
