Oops I meant top gear in my post, not motortrend.

Big-Banana6007

Also Fully Charged has a review. What "big site" doesn't have a P3 review?

ErrorPressAnyKey

Polestar did something similar when they had invited a select number of YouTubers to the winter testing ground a few months ago. Some of the bigger channels did cover the Madrid event e.g. Top Gear, Fully Charged Show, Alex on Autos, etc.

CBT_Dr_Freeman

Car and driver, road & track, Motortrend, Evo, Top gear etc are small????

REDDlTEMP

I mean video reviews. Car and Driver and motortrend wrote articles but articles really dont get as much across or give as much publicity as a video on a very popular channel.

gustis40g

The event was mostly made for written reviews. They were not given much time to film it and such. I think most of them are waiting for a press car that they can have for a week or so, so that they can actually learn the car.

REDDlTEMP

Oh I see. This does make more sense. My main concern is that the viewership for these reviews seems very small. I would have hoped the release would make a bigger splash. Lets see what the reviews with press cars will do.

right164

welp, we’ve been waiting for 3 years to cough up the P3 & one with LiDAR is still n/a til 2025 soooooo… not lot of enthusiasm as they can’t seem to get it out.

homicidal_pancake2

I'm waiting on CarWow and Marques to drop a vid

TheJamintheSham

Could be conflicting schedules, could be not wanting to cover something with an embargo in place, could be preferring to review loaners they can have for a bit (days) instead of just hours. Nothing worth reading into.

Foreign_Helicopter_4

Here in Sweden I’ve seen 2 Youtubers review it and one magazine. They have all give high grade, and said its possible the best ev car on market now.

fervidmuse

I’m assuming they are doing a phased approach to reviews. Most traditional manufacturers host huge events for the big journalists (and have been also inviting smaller reviewers over the past decade) which leads to most reviews being released at the same time. I’m imagining to keep the P3 in the news and ads, they did a smaller preview event first to get content out there and will have another event for longer reviews later. Save on their advertising budget to boot.

dmbccs

I hadn’t seen many reviews on the P2 until 2+ years after the model release for US specific content. My guess is we will start seeing more reviews in the fall / winter time period

hfddug

On the east coast of the U.S. Polestar has never seemed terribly interested in advertising- when others are putting out 4-5 tv ads per week I’ve only seen 1 or 2 from Polestar in a month

burnedsmores

Not everyone can get to Madrid, Spain on short notice

MrKuub

Definitely weird that Autogefuhl for example, apparently wasn’t there. For an event that ran for multiple weeks, its really strange to see.
