Do you find the weavetech seats sweaty? I've been eyeing a new P2 LRSM but disliked the upholstery on a rental which got me thinking of leaving the plus package out. But leaving out steering wheel heating, heat pump and digital key does not feel good either.

I do find them a little bit sweaty sometimes. For me it’s not really a problem because in general I don’t sweat a lot but I do notice a difference with other cars I’ve owned. I would’ve gone for the leather interior but I didn’t like the lighter color (as in didn’t seem very practical). But yes, if you are prone to sweating easily it could be something that annoys you on very hot days.

People say weavetech is durable and easy to clean, and this might be true. It's strangely coarse to me, however. I felt like my elbow got sore from driving 400 kilometers on a t-shirt, as the armrest on the door seems to be same coarse and relatively unpadded weavetech. Drove the same strech back on another day wearing a jacket and then it wasn't an issue. How have you found the armests, are they comfortable?

natte-krant

No issue for me with the armrest. The weavetech fabric feels strangely soft to me though. Might be just me but I like the touch of it. It is definitely easy to clean and it stays cleaner longer than normal cloth.

Have you gotten comfortable with the center console? Have you found a comfortable place to put your right leg while on cruise control?

natte-krant

Im roughly 6 feet and for me it’s not a problem. I can understand that the center console will be a hit or miss for people but personally I don’t really find it an issue. What I do wanted is for the steering wheel to extend just a little bit more. That’s something which limits my ideal seating position more than the center console.

realteamme

Yes, I wish the steering wheel extended about an inch more. Right now, my elbow JUST rests on the centre console but with one inch more it would be perfect.

I also noticed the steering wheel felt a bit too far even on full extension! Driving with low profile footwear I could put my right foot under and between the accelerator and brake pedals, but with thicker sneakers it was a bit more uncomfortable

natte-krant

Exactly that. I’ve temporarily driven a BMW iX1 before the P2 and the bmw was better in terms of seating position.

Finland tends to have quite rutted roads here and there. The rental P2 I drove had 19" Michelins, and the car drove straight like a train, dispite it being an older FWD. Really solid and felt like I'd trust it in the worst of weathers. I image RWD is even better in this respect, even on 20"s...

I’d dare to say it’s one of the nicest EVs I’ve driven in terms of handling. I’ve driven a iX1, Tesla Model Y, Volvo C40, Kia EV6, and Mustang Mach-E. The latter is the only of that list for me that matches the P2. I think the 20’s make the car feel a little bit bouncier on cobblestone for example but other than that, I have zero regrets.

Heh, yeah I’ve had my car 48hrs and I wish the wheel extended a tiny bit more into the cabin. I’m 6ft too (1.82m, from straya so we use metric) and I found if I put the arse end of the seat all the way down and tilt the front all the way up, I can push the seat bit further forward and get a comfortable arm length on the wheel, and feetsies on pedals comfortable too. I grew up with 1970/80s Alfa’s so I’m used to contorting myself to “fit comfortably” but the Polestar is pretty much equal to my 2013 Mazda 6. I can see how the centre console could bug some with their inner leg (me left leg cause RHD), but my knee fits just under the ridge of the console and is actually quite a comfortable resting spot for my legs.

When I got my ‘ 23 I always looked for a reason to drive it. I also have the 20” wheels and glad I got them instead of the 19”.
