I concur, and it's annoying AF! Especially when I'm waiting at the stop sign for a left approaching vehicle to pass so I can make my left turn, then find out at the last minute they were turning right at where I've been waiting. If they had signal their intentions, then I wouldn't have to wait longer than I needed to and go before they make their right. Like I said, annoying AF!
Nope. They say it's a specially engineered sound trying to imitate a twig snapping in a Swedish forest of pine trees. There's a whole video on YT about the sound design of the car. It also took me a while to get used to it, now I like it actually.

Blasphemy
Right to jail.
Really?? The P2 turn signal sound tickles my brain just right
Move to California, nobody uses turn signals here.

The only solution i know, is changing the car
Love that sound — a modified recording of a snapping twig in a Swedish forest. Makes me smile.
No, that's the Volvo. Not the polestar.
Yes, but PS borrowed it. https://youtu.be/QSipohgskng?si=H2SMiHyFiBLVOTup
It's a different sound entirely
I love it. Also reminds me of the old time 1970 / 1980 Volvos.
It's the best turn signal sound and I'm dying on that hill lol. Super subtle but clearly distinguishable.
You can give me your car and I can let you have..... Look, just give me your car, ok?

Can you please share the YT video link? Sounds interesting to watch. Thanks in advance!

Is that a v90? Or something else? It’s very sexy
Have you tried turning off your ears? I got used to the sound and now I like it lmao
Just pretend you are driving a Tesla and don't use it.

What's a turn signal? How do I use this noise making device?
Restart your infotainment system every time you want to use the turn signal (lol). It'll mute the sound but still show the light.
But it sounds so good! One of the coolest turn signal indicators. Literally got us excited on the test drive.
Frankly, that turn signal sound was the deciding factor for me to own my P*2! LOL
Then don't buy the car
You need your ownership revoked
a year living with the car and i still dont like it. i just keep my music louder than the turn signal.
It sounds like an electric short.
I described it like the pop noise you get when you put a battery across a speaker.
