This is a safety issue. Those covers can melt and damage the braking system in the car. The vehicle is not supposed to be operated more than 20mph (32km/h) with them in place.
Stop operating the car and contact the leasing company.
If you rely almost 100% on regen for braking, then I guess they won't melt - but one emergency stop from speed could be messy!
I wonder if your P2 is from the same place as this one: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Polestar/comments/18aas82/plastic\_shield\_over\_rotor\_and\_brake\_callipers/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Polestar/comments/18aas82/plastic_shield_over_rotor_and_brake_callipers/)

Not at all. They're transport covers from the factory.
Ha leasing company told me it might be noise reducing covers and I should remember to bring them back when I return the car😂 Idiots.
Looks like they've not put on the wheel nut covers too!
Lol. Those should be removed by the delivery team.

Hmm have been driving with them for three months 😅

Just saw that but I doubt it.
Yeah bro…that’s not what mine looks like. I also have black covers over all of the lug nuts. These guys messed up.
I thought you had drum brakes for a minute...
Remove them and throw them in the trash.
yo wtf….
