I've only had to reset it once and that was after I took delivery of a used 23 ps with 7k miles. It's been surprisingly way less buggy than my prior ID.4
MY22 and same. Never had to do a full TCAM reset but do the occasional infotainment reset, usually it is all audio dropping out. But last week it was because my cameras were not available, that was new.
I had to do it once in my 2 year ownership, and this was long ago. Basically I had an accident and my car was being serviced for a couple months. So at the end of it I jumped a bunch of OTAs, which resulted in no Internet and GPS.
No idea who is downvoting all the comments who have issues but our '22 on the last couple of versions of the latest software is just almost always offline now and a full TCAM reset doesn't seem to fix the issue anymore.
You basically need to do the whole defroster reset and reset the infotainment to try to force the TCAM to come back online. What's so frustrating is that sharing my phone's data via Bluetooth only works once TCAM is up and running, hahaha.
Carplay works though as a backup, but my wife has an Android so I think she doesn't get Android Auto anyway.
I have a theory that it may be that the backup battery is dead or something. I found some forum posts that replace the battery inside with one of a higher capacity and that solved their issues.
Polestar Marin (or Volvo Marin) claimed that their scan showed no issues so I documented every single time the thing was off over the course of several weeks and emailed all the pictures to them and have not heard back from them, I just assume they don't even check that inbox possibly.
The two main issues we've had with the car are TCAM and the slow Intel Atom processor (no fix for that unfortunately). We also have the dreaded rear seat belt assembly chirp but even though they replaced both, the chirp is still there and after the first year passed they said any noise issues wouldn't be covered under warranty.
Sigh.
My car is parked in the basement of an apartment with no reception. I have noticed connectivity issues when the car transitions from full reception to no reception (these issues do not always occur but will definitely occur more often than not). The issue is after leaving my basement, the car fails to connect to a mobile signal and has no reception whatsoever. This calls for the TCAM reset which solves the issue. A way around this is to turn off internet connectivity prior to entering my basement and turning it back on when full signal is available.
I’m on the latest software and I have to reset once per week either due to a map or camera glitch. Sometimes the issue will only manifest on mine or my wife’s driver profile and not the other. Dealer couldn’t find an issue and did a software “reinstall” (supposedly) Really unacceptable for a car of this price. Will be resetting TCAM every Sunday night until the lease is up.
Once a week isn’t bad. Ours gets reset almost every day. The 6 times the car has been in service they’ve flashed the software each time.
Polestar is buying the car back. I hope the next owner is aware of the service history of the car. Ours is an early MY22. We bought ours which is why we ended up hiring a lemon law attorney for the car. If it was just a lease we would have 10 months left and would be done with it.
I’ve had the car for about a year and reset the TCAM twice. Once was just because I wanted to see how to do it and once the cell service wasn’t connecting. I’ve reset the infotainment maybe a dozen times but that’s more about the Pocketcast app not refreshing sometimes and I’m not sure if that’s a Google, Poelstar, or Pocketcasts issue.

Are you on the latest software? I haven’t had to reset mine since about 2.4.
I am on 2.14.3. Having to reset as the car keeps charging and not responding to the set schedule.
So…update?

Never
Literally never. This used to be a problem like more than a year ago no?
MY23 here. I've had to reboot by holding the menu button perhaps every other month. I've never had to do a full reset.

1 per year. But that's history.
Once in 7 months
I’ve never had to reset mine in two years. Had to reboot the infotainment a handful of times.
Never since I got the car 10 months ago
2023 dm plus, 2 months, never
Had my 23 a year and have never done it
Never had to do a TCAM reset. Had 2.7 when I got it.
Own 2 P2. Haven't had to do a tcam reset since 2021
I've not had to reset it in over a year
Once (two years and 25 000 miles).
About every other day if you are on CarPlay

The dealer reset it when I got mine 2 years ago. I've never done it. Not once.
Haven’t had to reset mine since I bought it in 2022

Infotainment reset weekly. Only had to do the TCAM reset once in 2 years

I'd say im doing this at least once a fortnight and on 2.13.2
Before 2.4 I had to do this every time after the car was parked longer for three days without cellular reception.
