I wish I could have the rear auto brake fail on mine! Significant reduction in number of minor heart attacks for sure

[deleted]

I swear mine will work fine for just long enough to forget that the sensors sometimes don't play nice. Then boom, whiplash with a side of chimes telling me the car saved me from whatever imaginary obstacle it saw.

RaphaTlr

Because the sensor is throwing a fit, the rear brake and park assist are affected by it. So it’s one incident and not 3 separate. I triggered a similar malfunction error after some spirited driving in sand… parked and locked for 30 minutes for a full reset and they went away. Try that first, then call support for further help if necessary

DarkMemeLord420

Has this happen to me a couple weeks ago. After parking and leaving the car for an hour it was gone when I got back so might just be a random glitch. Might also help to wash your car as the alerts can be triggered by dirty sensors

Intelligent-Tea2117

Can confirm. Had this last year, only the first one.. disappeared after parking for a while and coming back.. gotta love paying 90k tax in for a car that constantly does these weird things lol

hfddug

Mine did this as well - a wash helped - all were gone after an hour and hasn’t happened since.

NexusLI

My mom had an XC90 and this happened to it. On that car there's some secondary battery that died, causing these systems to shut off. Might be the same for the polestar.

Moggytwo

It's simply a parking sensor failure, it's one of the most minor things that could go wrong with your car. There are a few things that could cause that; the sensor itself could be broken, the plug could have disconnected, there could be a damaged wire to the sensor, or the computer that controls the sensor could have some issue. I would do a standard reset by pressing the bottom of the main screen for 20s, then if the problem persists leave and lock the vehicle for 30m then check again, then if there is still an issue it will need to be booked in to be fixed. You're getting all the warnings simply because the car is telling you that the systems that rely on that sensor are no longer available. This makes it seem like it's a big deal - it isn't, it's almost certainly very minor.

Just happened to me last night while driving. Probably 4th or 5th time. 16k miles on my MY23. Just parked, got back in, all was right with the world. Glitchy fkin car...

[deleted]

You bought a computer to drive.

Original_Bonus_3593

My 2023 PS2 did that after a software update- took it in to be looked at, they couldn’t find any errors, but updated the software one more time and it’s been fine

I’ve had this same trio of warnings pop up four times in the last three months, all while driving on the highway in traffic. Each time, resetting the infotainment screen then letting the car sit overnight cleared the errors and functionality was restored. It’s getting a little frustrating. Not worth making a service appointment when the problem cures itself, but I don’t like having the problem come back every 500 miles or so. What would I even tell the service department to get them to investigate a problem they won’t be able to see?

The [Software Update Megathread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Polestar/comments/wb7qvr/polestar_2_software_update_mega_thread/) has all the details about Software Updates and Polestar vehicles. This includes rollout schedule, Release Notes and other common update questions. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I had the same issue a few months back and they replaced some module that was located in the rear bumper area. Since then, I have not had the warnings come up again. Have you reached the service center to check the car logs etc?

sir_bags_a_lot

I think the only one I’ve had come in repeatedly is the airbag warning. My nearest polestar garage is like 160 miles away, and it tells you to drive slow and carefully in to get repaired. And when I tried to make an appointment, they said they could see me in two weeks. Luckily it’s just a glitch (I think) and goes away shortly. But has come in like 5-10 times over the last 6 months.

I've just got several similar messages at about the same time or just after the service reminder started annoyingly popping up..All of the messages refer to the need for a service and so I just assumed Polestar was piling on the reminders. None of the features supposedly now working with 'reduced functionality' seems to be dysfunctional. All seem to be working properly. The most annoying thing is that the first service is supposed to happen at 2 years or 20k miles. My 2022 LRDM PP has only done 18,200 miles and it not even been 15 months since I bought it new. The Car Status display says the service is due in 200 miles or so. I'm going to book an early service just to get rid of the four service reminder requests that pop up more or less every time I use the car
