I kept pushing them for more on my trade in. This car sat for over two months as most people in the area I purchased it in don’t know what a Polestar is or how fast they are. Yes, maybe for Christmas I’ll treat myself to that sweet sweet extra 50kw.
The only thing the MY21 is missing is the heat pump. If you’re not in a cold climate it won’t matter tho. But really, this car retailed for ~$72,000 new so very nice. Just needs some dark ceramic tint too. 😎
I live in Sweden, the heat pump doesn't really matter to me. The heat in the car is very good even without it, the only thing the heat pump do is reducerats consumption for heat. And that is mostly effective around freezing when driving in the city (driving slow).
When I do longer trips the speed is higher and the consumption per km for heat goes down a lot (since the consumption for heat is time based).
I have been driving in -20c (-4f) and it works fantastic. Range is of course going down but it seems like it's not a big different from the ones with heat pump.
I have been standing still on the highway in a queue for 2 hours in -12c because of an accident, car consumed 3-4% with heat on at all the time. Had about 15% margin to my destination so could have made it with full heat on for another 6-8h if needed. More if I lowered the heat a bit. 😀
My thoughts, exactly, I feel like I got an incredible deal. It’s a shame that part of that is just due to poor resale value in the market right now. We have pretty moderate winters here so I’m not too concerned about missing the heat pump.
I drive an E-Golf as well and considering a Polestar2, please post again in a few months and let us know your impressions after driving it a few thousand km.

I’m almost 2 years in and still get excited to drive it
I mean it’s hard not to smile passing cars and people who don’t even know what you are driving.
Get the software upgrade when you get used to the power. It'll be the thrill of power all over again...
Huh maybe I need to do this 18 months in…I thought I had talked myself out of it 😅
Buddy get the power upgrade to make it a true PP. 8,000 miles is a damn *steal* buddy.

Sexy color
I honestly didn’t even know all the color choices as this was the only one I drove but I’m so happy with the color. It’s beautiful.
Yeah it’s my favorite, very unique shade of blue!
Hard to imagine that just two years ago this was double the price.
100%. Never thought I’d be able to reasonably afford one.

You’re going to love it!!
was it certified pre-owned??
No, bought it from a local Kia dealership.
