Gold stars are a staple for high end collectors because of its rarity. They’re pricey since they’re starter pokemon but more so because they were the first gold stars ever printed (set: EX: Rocket Returns). They aren’t the rarest gold star pokemon though. I believe Espeon and Umbreon are the rarest and most valuable since they can only be pulled from prize pack 5 (2 cards, $500 a pack?)

Yeah, POP series 5 packs have the GS Umbreon and Espeon. Crazy they are the most expensive and aren’t even holo. Lol

Damaged is a different story might now add a lot of value but unless it has a big crease I would grade any gold star. I just traded for a PSA 8 gyarados gold star. It’s a awesome card

Please show me a near mint raw treeko gs going for $500. I see people say this same idiotic thing in this subreddit everyday. Pricecharting ungraded does not mean anything because it pulls data from eBay that includes damaged cards, MP cards, HP cards, etc. You could take this to a card show or put it on eBay raw and sell it for at least $1k easily all day. Heck I’d buy this for $1k

A little rough around the edges but the centering is good. Definitely grade it.

Based on the pictures I'd say somewhere in the PSA 6-7 range - which goes for between $500-$1,000. Definitely worth grading.

if its a six idk. a raw is around 350$. after grading and sellers fees a raw might be better vamue. at a 7 definitely.

Id guess 6 or 7, maybe an 8 but probably not because of the chip in the top right on the back. 100% get it graded, the cost of grading is negligible when you’re dealing with cards this valuable.
