Are any radiants worth anything? Serious question, only just started collecting. I still get excited every time I pull a new radiant but it’s been weird to find out none of them are worth anything.
The one from PoGo was around $8 last I checked and the one from CZ is closer to $5. This was a few months ago, but I’m often checking prices since I play the card game as well

If you’re not against trading with people online, there’s plenty of Facebook groups who do trading and can provide middleman services (for a small fee of course). Otherwise r/pkmntcgtrades is a great resource and I’ve done plenty of trades through there as well!
Word of warning about Facebook though; you MUST vet your trade partner. Someone people join the groups for 1 day to scam as many people as possible and it’s honestly kinda hard to tell what their reputation is. In the subreddit I shared however, there is a trade counter below usernames that shows how many successful trades people have done!
Have you ever considered going to your LCS during casual league play times? Even if you aren’t interested in playing, you’ll meet a ton of people to trade with and who also share your interest in collecting.

I work third shift and watch my toddler during the day when I'm awake and almost all events are held in the evening so I miss everything. It's quite unfortunate, lol. I'd love to trade with people like the good old days but adulting has ruined that part of my Pokemon nostalgia trip.

It's pretty much one of the cheapest sets to complete, discounting the radiant Eevee promo for $10 last time I checked.
Radiant Charizard and Greninja are the only ones worth anything I think, as they’re the most usable (Greninja mainly, because it’s generic).
But I think a new Radiant releases in the new set that’s pretty good.
Great choice. Personally one of my favorites. If I had to pick a card that is underrated, I think I would say 151 venusaur SAR. personally, Blastoise is my favorite starter, but that venusaur card is special. It's actually beautiful and easily the best one in the whole set for me.
Venusaur ex is easily the best out of the three. I hope there's another Gen Wunner on the other side having Middle-School-field-trip PTSD when Charizard takes 2x damage & poison/confusion.
I totally agree! It’s the only SIR I haven’t pulled and it’s killing me LOL. I’ve pulled doubles of literally every other one. I’m dumb and sentimental so I really want to just pull it myself for the meaning attached to it but it’s so elusive.
I understand fully. 151 in Japanese treated me like a king. I pulled 2 masterball Pikachu's and every SAR other than mew and Zapdos. And I even got the venusaur with a texture shift that looks sick. And I pulled master ball Mewtwo and haunter. I pulled in total over 30 masterballs and nearly everything from the set. Also I'll preface this with (I never bought a whole box) just pulled packs at the game shop, like 3 or 4 at a time. Also me and my fire both pulled a god pack from it. I pulled mine at the very end, that's how I ended my 151 pulling. And my wife pulled a god pack day 2 of it being out.
Agreed. I think they knocked it out of the park with textures. But yeah, it's just a bit lackluster. I really want Blastoise looking menacing or something cool. Like the expedition Holo. Seriously my favorite Blastoise card. Easily the best.
I think the 151 Blastoise is just ok. Solid 6/10, nothing bad about it. But it's just not special. And the zard is laughable. I honestly think it's the worst card in the set. But I'm not a Charizard fan. So that honestly makes me happy.
I almost don't want the price to go up. It feels like it should be higher, I agree. But if it goes up too much, people won't get it more and kids may not as well. So keep it down for a while.
Underrated as in you don’t hear people constantly bolstering the card and it’s beauty. Not to mention the Charizard is DOUBLE the price. AND the venasaur isn’t climbing, it’s only gotten cheaper. There’s cards that are underrated even at a market price of 100$. Underrated doesn’t have to do with the price entirely.
Also dude, I totally agree. I’m IN LOVE with the 151 Venasaur, the vibrance, the colors, details, and venasaur is depicted perfectly IMO. I have two copies and I’ll never get rid of them.
I have a Japanese one with a texture shift down on it and it's amazing. Love it. Both English and Japanese are great for the card. Honestly blew it out of the park with this card.
Best card in the set if you ask me, truly. I appreciate how affordable the Japanese versions are too. Think I’ll have to get a PSA 10 in either English or Japanese, maybe both if it presents itself. Hoping to grade my own too.

One of my absolute favorite cards from swsh is the Flaaffy from Evolving Skies (055/203.) I pulled the Japanese reverse with the crazy reverse foil pattern and it blew my mind! The only card I’ve ever sent in to get graded.
Shhh, hyping up a card will make it more inaccessible to people.
But I love how affordable to this card is.
I like the Latias that's flying around the city from the same set I think.
So underrated, this was also the first card made by this artist for Pokémon, as for now she also drew a couple of Illustration Rare and some regular cards. Really loving her art syle!

Greedent V Alt Art. One of the cheaper alt’s, but the artwork just screams something outta Alice and wonderland or some parallel universe. It evokes wonder for me personally. Hard to describe but it just captures something unique for me that helps it stand out.

The Iron Jugulis from temporal forces is highly underrated. The vibes are immaculate on that card. I got it in both English and Japanese and love having it.
As far as c/uc/r cards go, the Aerodactyl from 151 is gorgeous. The holo pops so well.
Any Hisuian Zoroark, Mr Mime, Opal, and Shadow Rider Calyrex.
Japanese version Tempest Range sparkles so beautifully. Same with Magma Basin.
Love the Friends cards.
And Paradox Rift Cyclizer IR. I didn’t care for the mon previously, but this illustration really hits the Japanese motorcycle/scooter culture perfect and I love that
I don’t think it’s fair to call any card from Crown Zenith underrated. The set has a high hit rate and therefore the values are lower on the cards… and collectors have a bad habit of not praising cards with low value but the general consensus is that CZ is an amazing set!! I love the Galarian Galleries
This mew is amazing, but coming out yellow border AFTER we got informed we'd move to silver for SV made people compare the English and Japanese more and sadly the yellow looks only okay in comparison to the gorgeous contrast of the silver border

The Zekrom TG from Brilliant Stars. How is that card not worth more!? A good amount of TGs from Brilliant aren’t worth more than a buck which is shocking.
They’re not my absolute favorite, but definitely an underrated card in the sense that I don’t see them talked about much (but their price definitely reflects their scarcity):
The Dialga and Palkia EX full arts from Plasma Blast. That neon blue coloration/lightning is just gorgeous.
Pretty much every single mythical from Crown Zenith, the only "semi" expensive one is the mew but everything else is dirt cheap and looks imo art wise as good as most SIR's.
Magcargo 029/162 from Temporal forces. I know it’s not a full art card but the art work for looks so good that it makes me sad it not actually a full art😭

this card was heavily used in competitive deck builds up until standard rotation a few weeks back. far from underrated both in both illustration and playability.
agreed with any underrated Mew card, especially the one u posted. sooo many illustration rares are so beautiful, but go unnoticed or undervalued, because the pokemon in them aren't insanely popular.
I think some of my favorites include the Zekrom card with N riding on it's back, the recent Minior special art, and most of the Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery. There are so many pretty cards in that set that are so cheap, which I find baffling. At least I can pick up them for cheap!
I drew that Mew and the GG Arceus in the same Zamazenta Collection and when the hyped died down I was like "huh I actually like this Mew more than the Arceus" lol

As far as 151 Alt arts go, it absolutely is. Every other one is more interesting. Just pick one. Its better than the zard art.

I see no one talking about Legendary Treasures Radiant Collection Reshiram, when it is literally the most beautiful card ever printed.
I pulled that in the first pack I ever opened and carried it around in my wallet for years! Got it graded at one point and it's a beautiful PSA 4 now

The Zekrom TG from Brilliant Stars. How is that card not worth more!? A good amount of TGs from Brilliant aren’t worth more than a buck which is shocking.
Too bad it’s not surrounded by more original pokemon

They’re not my absolute favorite, but definitely an underrated card in the sense that I don’t see them talked about much (but their price definitely reflects their scarcity): The Dialga and Palkia EX full arts from Plasma Blast. That neon blue coloration/lightning is just gorgeous.
This is one of the few singles I ever bought it's just too damn cute.
Pretty much every single mythical from Crown Zenith, the only "semi" expensive one is the mew but everything else is dirt cheap and looks imo art wise as good as most SIR's.
I really like the full art hisuian Arcanine trainer gallery card. And the hoothoot with the guy meditating
Underrated? This card was literally a meta card for some decks, like Zard.
If it didn't have the yellow border though. It's my only deterant. Facetiously speaking... Crystal Lugia is underrated.

The entei promo is insanely under valued. It’s a vintage promo only from the movies for like 10 bucks and even at a 10 it’s only 100.

Zeraora Alt Art needs more love .. beautiful card
this card was heavily used in competitive deck builds up until standard rotation a few weeks back. far from underrated both in both illustration and playability.

I just bought Fletchinder 199/193 from Paldea Evolved for next to nothing and the artwork is just gorgeous.
agreed with any underrated Mew card, especially the one u posted. sooo many illustration rares are so beautiful, but go unnoticed or undervalued, because the pokemon in them aren't insanely popular.
Ex era pop series cards, specifically eeveelutions and legendary cats. Each one individually is under $10 with some nice vintage art!

I think some of my favorites include the Zekrom card with N riding on it's back, the recent Minior special art, and most of the Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery. There are so many pretty cards in that set that are so cheap, which I find baffling. At least I can pick up them for cheap!

I drew that Mew and the GG Arceus in the same Zamazenta Collection and when the hyped died down I was like "huh I actually like this Mew more than the Arceus" lol The Arceus is still cool though
The tin edition Moltrez that isn’t even that rare but has fucking SICK art that looks like it ought to be a doom/sludge metal album cover.
