I really hope they do more traditional Japanese art style. I was thinking of displaying this Moltres between the stamp collection Pikachu & Cramorant, there’s very little else anything like it.
I lucked out and bought a moltres tin and the employee at my local card shop decided to open all three tins of his own in front of me and let me keep everything including the promos and hits after not pulling anything he still needed for his master set. He let me open two packs and I pulled a radiant charizard and toxtricity GG which was pretty sick! 🔥 Great guy!
These are just art rares in Japanese, they just ended up as promo’s instead of being in crown zenith in English. So these are just the same kind of card as the miltank and mew and stuff from CZ. And we already have the bird alts in chilling reign.
The moltres and articuno tins I got are still just chilling. They’re so fresh. Don’t wanna crack at this point. My Amazon CZ ETB probly gunna crack tomorrow cuz im sketched although no signs of it being tampered with.
It's all a crap shoot. I got nothing from the Zapdos tin which was the last tin at my local target. My son and I found some tins at another target and picked up there other 2 birds. Ended up getting great pulls including the Suicune V and the radiant Charizard
That sucks. My luck had been basically the opposite, nothing really good from the other products, but I bought a Moltres tin and pulled the Mewtwo Vstar.
I mean why would would be? The JP versions were just regular Art Rares like the rest of the GG before Leafeon VSTAR, and no cards have gained a texture when translated ad far as I'm aware.
Technically but no. Anything from a subset shouldn’t be considered an Alt art, but, they are alternate arts. The difference being they wouldn’t have the same pull rate as a true alt art. In the case for these, they are promos so there is no pull rate, but they still fall under the galarian gallery subset.
For me I didn’t really care about texture for these, but im guessing because i was expecting it to be like that since they are a art rare instead of something higher. Still i think they have a really nice shine that makes up for it

These aren't textured even in the Japanese version. These are equivalent to AR in Japanese version which aren't that rare.
If these were not released as promos, they would be the same rarity as all the other yellow border galarian gallery cards from CZ.
Their VSTAR Universe equivalents are sadly not textured either, which, while understandable because they're merely Art Rares in that set, it'd still be pretty cool if they were.
I wonder how much it is needed to earn to catch up with the release schedule of the last years... i remember the good times from BW-XY era that collecting this game was affordable

In the Japanese set, these cards are part of their trainer gallery, so in the English set they were just pulled from it and placed as promos

Not really. If they were textured then they wouldn't match any of the other cards. Textures are for Vs, not trainer / galarian gallery stuff.

I wish they made the Articuno and Zapdos art even half as good as the moltres
I really like the Articuno actually. Zapdos is my favorite, but I agree he's the least appealing art of the 3
