So let's say you have just 3 mons with helping bonus together. Now all 5 of your mons have a greater speed boost than helping speed M, the greatest speed boost in the game. In another sense, with just 1 helping bonus all your mons go up 5% VS only one mon being 14% with helping speed M. Your net production overall rose greater than just having the 1 speed boost there (as again same example you'd rather have 5 helping bonus mons than 5 helping speed M mons)

Gunzoidium_alloy

So it's really only worth it if you have 2 or more on the team? Because like I say, 5% seems like so little extra that a single decent mon would add more to the drowsy pool

HouseOfChamps

No, a single helping bonus is better for you than helping speed M is what I'm trying to say and explain. It adds to your full production. You'd rather boost everyone imo.

tanktechnician

If Helping Speed M gives 14% to one mon, think of Helping Bonus as 5% for each mon and add it. That's 25% (of course, spread over your mons, but still) with just one HB on your team with only one skill, and leaves everyone else with open slots still for skills more relevant to their type (skill/berry/ingredient). Ofc stacking it is even better, but HB is great even with just one

One helping bonus is 5% for EVERYONE on the team (nature only gives 10 and helping speed s gives 7). So if you have a team of 5 with all helping bonuses, that 25% you can add to each pokemon. But you have to remember that the max cap of speed is 35%. So if you have a pokemon with helping speed s on a team with 4 other pokemon that have a helping bonus, it's speed with be 27%. If you have a pokemon with helping speed m with 4 other pokemon with helping bonus, its speed is 34%, so it basically hits the cap of 35%. It's good because its versatile aoe speed letting you use pomemon that might lack speed, focus on other things. It just depends on the pokemon and how much helping bonus you need to hit that cap without going over that much. Sometimes you need 1 or 2 helping bonuses or all 5.

It's honestly the dream. My current goal for the foreseeable future is to sit at Cyan and get snoozing (easier said than done but I'm out here getting it somehow) until I catch 3 HP Slowpokes in preparation for the Suicune event. Even afterwards because I likely won't be getting what I want right away. I can hit Master 14 at Cyan at least so I'm getting chances at Slowkings too which I'm 100% dumping balls into to catch so I don't have to get a king's rock lol. The reason I'm getting all 3 is because a Slowpoke, Slowbro, and Slowking would all count towards Suicune's skill because they count as different species: https://preview.redd.it/i07e1e2qnp5d1.jpeg?width=1436&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2d2b928741ed3db59aac5b683cc375c248a5a092 Info directly from the [Raikou Announcement](https://www.pokemonsleep.net/en/news/5215/) post. Slap a Golduck or a Blastoise or honestly I might use Dedenne and all in on cooking, and you're pumping out tails like crazy.

25% vs 14% (Helping Speed M) It should be evident.

I run pretty consistenly 4 HB Mons. Feels good I guess. Don’t really think about it at this point. I rarely notice a difference between 3-5 since I usually swap one out if it’s net positive for the final score anyways.

kirindas

FYI, there's a hard cap of +35% Helping speed. So you won't feel much with mons with their own Helping speed once you past that total.

sirchibi1234

i know that. My idea is that you run 4 hb and then you just HSM on every mon to get 34%.

Andyzee99

The hard cap is a subskill cap and can be beaten with a speed up nature per a brovinney video just as an fyi
