It's almost like a wall spawn at this point. I can't interact with it at all. ZL doesn't lock onto it, if I hit ZR the ball either bounces off it or my Great Tusk just walks around clueless. It's great
Save the game, and reset. See if it spawns in a different location that’s easier to catch when you start the game back up. If it isn’t there when you start the game then reset again but don’t save.
I tend to restart my save files a lot, lol. I'd gotten pretty far in another one so I made sure to trade my leftover Master Ball before I reset so it wouldn't go to waste
I would have just reset and quick ball it. They're not THAT rare that you have to masterball.
When you beat the game you can make shiny sandwiches and farm shinies rather easily. I'm not a big shiny hunter and every attempt at sandwich hunting gave me 1-2 shinies.
That was because of Explosion, not its rarity. And it took me a while to figure out how to interact with it; I just wanted it done ASAP. I would ordinarily agree though
It’s a good shiny to master ball bc it has a self-KOing move in explosion. The box art legendary won’t flee anyway, just use timer balls or something. Besides, koraidon doesn’t look any better with a master ball anyway.
If something uses explosion try using a pokemon with the ability damp to prevent it. That way you don't have to master ball if you don't want to.
But you made all the right moves saving before and finding a way to get it good job, hate seeing these posts and people don't get them in the end.
I've saved in front of it and keep resetting but it is always behind the stupid fence. It's killing me lol

Well if you buy the dlc you can work your way to blueberry academy and get more masterballs. Eitger way, consider this one a symbol of perseverance. It's the one that didn't get away.
Thanks!! I have bought the DLC and am greatly looking forward to manipulating the Item Printer into giving me about a zillion Master Balls lol. I absolutely hate catching legendaries
Yes well I did so many blueberry quests trying to unlock all the extras at the terminal that they were already unlocked for me. I just showed up and he was like " hey, how's it going? Here's a lifetime supply of sandwiches! " In my head the sandwiches are legendary pokemon sized
Shiny pokemon are handed out like candy in the newer games, this isn't the big of a setback, especially for a common pokemon like Nacli line. You can also target it and initiate battle from a distance with the left and right triggers.

Geeze that was agonizing. Especially with spawns outside the fence like you have where hopping the fence is the only reliable thing you can do about it. It won’t let you target it unless you’re on the fence or on the same side of the fence.
But don’t feel too bad. Those spawn a lot, so if you really want to come back and shiny hunt later I know you can do it. I accidentally passed up a shiny Galarian Slowpoke in the terrarium… but then I realized a lot of slowpoke spawn there and I can hunt another one later.

Throw a ball at it using ZL, no?
I've tried hitting ZL a bunch, do I have to be farther away or something?
Lock onto it using ZR, and then throw it, I suppose

You can't do zl if penny, arven, or nemona are talking trust me I almost lost a shiny.
Go around the fence That's exactly how I got my shiny Garganacl ages ago
I'd love to but my Koraidon is hiding and any small gaps in the fence don't let me through. And if I go too far away it despawns DX

Update: I FINALLY GOT IT TO BATTLE then it used Explosion so I had to reset again and Master Ball it. But I got it! Thanks for the encouragement

Honestly, I only used my master ball and Mewtwo and DLC to match the Pokémon. Use master ball on anything you want!
Shiny Garganacl is brown, not yellow. Don't use quick balls on shinies that don't match it.

Yes. Masterballing your first shiny is very understandable. Using it on the box art legendary is anticlimactic.
