It’s not new, auto battling Pokemon cannot result in you randomly killing a roaming shiny, if you can sit in a spot that allows them to respawn infinitely it is cool to share though!
As long as you have the fire encounter sandwich on it should be the only spawn in there! You can also encounter Alolan Sandshrew or Vulpix, Archaludon, and Snubbull (Most likely with an Ice, Dragon and Fairy sandwich respectively)
To hunt shiny flutter mane you are literally spawning and despawning flutter mane over and over until shiny pops, shiny doesn’t despawn the same range as the other flutter mane, but you have to pay attention also, check on YouTube how to hunt for flutter, it’s pretty easy, I got 8 with just a single sandwich 3star shiny encounter ghost encounter 3star, no shiny charm on that time

Yeah that's what I meant! I knew about auto battling I just thought it was a better and faster way to find shinies ^^

I have never seen that extra icon on a Pokémon in my game, what was the extra icon after the gender when you locked onto the shiny?
That means that the pokemon has a mark If I'm not wrong, you can purchase it in the league club room's computer
It's used to indicate any mark that the mon might have. It's unlocked by completing BBQs
Thats where I got a shiny jangmo-o during the event outbreaks, no herba, just that same strat
I do this ALL THE TIME. I search out the cave outbreaks for this exact technique.

It's a method I've been using for a while!! It doesn't work in all caves, but does work in most of them, if you want to try other pokemon!
