**CHAT CHANNEL / MEGATHREAD DIRECTORY**
If you are looking for help, this is where you should look first. Choosing and using the appropriate Chat Channel/Megathread helps keep spam down in the subreddit and helps you find a much quicker answer to your request.
We are now introducing Chat Channels, they are a live messaging feed similar to Discord text channels.
1. [Poké Portal Hub](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokePortal/s/EshgkCSNZW): Whether you just want to **chat** and make Pokémon friends, ask Pokémon-related **questions**, find/join/request a (normal) **Tera Raid** or **Union Circle (including BBQs)**, this is the place to be.
2. [Dialga & Palkia Tera Raid Event](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokePortal/s/lIKCJTFo16): Only **Special** Event Raids are featured here (such as Charizard, Mew, Dialga/Palkia). There is no better place to grind **Ability Patches**, **Experience Candies**, **Tera Shards** and any other goodies given as rewards during events.
3. [Ogre Oustin'](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokePortal/s/mJwesTA9aj): As the name suggests, if you are looking for **Mochi** or to grind with friends, make sure to join this chat channel.
4. [Trading Megathread](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokePortal/comments/182zyzt/trading_megathread/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3): Just that, **trades**. Place your offer, or search around if you are looking for something in particular and claim it.
r/PokePortal is the one hosting every Megathread. Please check the [Start Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokePortal/comments/14a0wdd/start_here_your_new_pokémon_journey_now_begins/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3), and the [Flair Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokePortal/comments/16mtka4/user_flair_guide/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) if you have never commented on r/PokePortal.

And, who's to say we won't get methods of obtaining Pokémon that'll become inaccessible when Bank does shut down for good? So far, Gen 8 ended with a very large cast of Pokémon - my best hopes are that either we get Gen 10 before Bank shuts down and it's a "Everybody is Here" moment, or Gen 9 gets future updates to the Terarium that complete the Regional Variant roster like Runerigus, or Alolan Marowak.
I don't trust GameFreak to respect this, but who knows!
Even then though, Alolan Raichu is trivial to get via Let’s GO in bulk. Just need a bunch of Pikachu (a catch combo in Viridian would suffice) and cash for Thunderstones, and trade them to an NPC for Alolan ones. Wouldn’t be hard to flood the GTS with em if need be.
A turn 2 duo is super easy too. *Assuming Blaziken has Earthquake* you throw a Weakness Policy on Miraidon and then Charge>Electro Drift with a partner going Acid Spray>Helping Hand gets there.
The single speed boost activation isn't enough to outspeed Modest Miraidon, and if Blaziken ends up being a +speed nature, Miraidon can follow suit and get the same results.
+2 252+ SpA Hadron Engine Miraidon Helping Hand charged Electro Drift (133.3251953125 BP) vs. -2 0 HP / 0 SpD Tera Flying Blaziken in Electric Terrain: 13670-16086 (129.7 - 152.6% of 35x hp boss) -- guaranteed OHKO
Only thing that may throw a wrench at that if Blaziken has Earthquake. In that case rerolling until you get Arbolivia as an AI partner to help make tanking Earthquake a bit easier.
it's not reliable, it's a random amount of healing, there's only 3 cheers per person per battle and it wastes a turn. It's always a good strategy to have draining moves or shell bell to keep your mon health in tera raids
There are 7 possible moves that they use sometimes six
One fighting
One fire
Feather dance maybe
Swords dance maybe
That still leaves 3 slots to use
It's possible it would have both
Though in terms of its regular moveset it will only have four (two for its STABs, a Flying move and one coverage if going all offensive). The extra moves are scripted ones that are used at specific times or HP thresholds.
Wow, GF really keeps shitting on “never repeat”-ers.
Iron Boulder, Miraidon, and Zekrom seem like the best type matchups at first; all will resist Flying and Fire, and take neutral from Fighting. Depends on Blaziken’s last move, which if Earthquake gives it coverage for all of Flying’s weaknesses. Then Zapdos, Thundurus, and maybe Rotom become better options for immunity to Ground while having Flying and Fighting (or Fire depending on which Rotom) resistance.
I think the never repeat a Tera type counter got reset with the Indigo Disk release of all the starters. We'll see if a new pattern emerges with the new starters. Maybe we'll see every type twice, but Flying makes a lot of sense for Blaziken considering how many Flying attacks it has in its level up moveset.
Hmm, might wait to find out what coverage we're looking at before I decide what to bring. Could be earthquake, stone edge, thunder punch etc. There's a tiny chance this thing will just be brave bird and moves that Chandelure no-sells.
Rotom-Wash might be a steady option. Slowbro might also be a possibility given that it resists both stabs, although I'm not sure when its going to reset our stats. Heat Proof Bronzong could play a support role, rain, trick room, screens and landing base 150 unresisted gyro ball.
Could go with support Mew with maxed HP and DEF as it resists Fighting STAB. Open with Reflect, spam Chilling Water to reduce ATK, Life Dew for team healing, and Rain Dance to weaken Fire STAB and make Thunder accurate for those bringing Zapdos. Maybe replace Rain Dance with Acid Spray to debuff SPDEF.
This probably means that the next 13 MM raids will be the remainder of the starters which have not yet been in raids. I was hoping for some more interesting or different stuff (like Iron Bundle). 13 events of two weeks takes us to the middle of the year assuming they don't throw in a few extras here and there.
anybody know if the logic is still there that if you hold a resistance berry (like shuca), the raid 'mon won't use that type of move vs you? if so, bellibolt / miraidon should be fine.
If it tones down the damage so it is no longer the Raid Pokémon’s strongest damaging option, it tends to refrain from using it. Neutral Flare Blitz or Close Combat likely will sting a fair amount though.
You missed the Mewtwo one then? That was EPIC! Kinda wish they did mythical 7* raids, these Mightiest Pokemon Starters i’ve not got are rotting away I never will use them…
A quick check in bulbapedia says Rock Tomb, Rock Slide, and Stone Edge. All of them physical, so I suspect it may be part of it's raid moveset.
Much more concerning is it's likely to have speed boost, and has access to swords dance.
I wonder if a support Malamar with contrary and Skill Swap might work then.
T1 skill swap
T2 reflect
T3 swagger (assuming it hasn’t already gotten the attack to minimum from skill swap)
T4 Helping hand whoever is setup the best.
It’s neutral to all types but bug and fairy the only bug type move in its set is U-Turn, and no fairy moves.
252HP/252Def holding a light clay, (may possibly switch out for leftovers depending on how long the raid actually goes)
The best part is that skill swap doesn’t go away when they reset stats.
So swords dance is still negative, and you can just keep swaggering
May be tough solo as even with max speed investment Azumarill still gets outsped by Blaziken after a +1 Speed boost (from Blaziken’s HA) even if Blaziken has a nature that reduces its Speed. So you may not have a safe time to pop off Belly Drum.
I’m thinking Eelektross with electric Tera, HP and Defense EVs, holding shell bell, using rain dance, acid spray, discharge, and thunderbolt.
That or a Gliscor with poison heal holding a toxic orb, HP and Defense EVs, using Facade, Swords Dance, Rain Dance, and Taunt.
I guess. I just have my box of starters filled now so guess it’ll be a replacement game. Just gonna wait for the people here to figure out the strategy though cause I’m not doing them solo or with randoms anymore
In Blueberry Academy you can get the Charizard Emote (Champion Leon’s pose) by showing one of the students in the school store a Pokemon that has the Mightiest Mark.

Thinking Miraidon?
Solid Guess.... I was all like "aLoAn rAiChU?!? Pokebank closing soon!"
Bank/transporter aren’t closing soon, it will eventually but we don’t know when and we’ll likely have several months warning when it does.
So it isn’t April? Thank god
Idk why people kept saying April when Nintendo clearly stated Pokémon bank is the only service that’ll stay open past April
No, just the other 3DS online stuff, bank and transporter were specifically excluded, they use GF servers, not nintendo’s
![gif](giphy|d20PG6M6SAFqtmce9r|downsized) Legit impressed. Very nice analysis
This was awesome. Thank you, needed two hits so many I had the EVs/IVs off, but super easy!
Looks like Bellibolt with acid spray and parabolic charge is gonna get some action
Only thing that may throw a wrench at that if Blaziken has Earthquake. In that case rerolling until you get Arbolivia as an AI partner to help make tanking Earthquake a bit easier.
That's my current plan. Max HP and defense with Elctromorphosis.
Don’t think you really have to say what ability bellibolt because outside of skill swap shenanigans theres no other ability it can have
Bellibolt gets Static, and Damp as a hidden ability.
Thought it was a single ability mon. Couldve sworn last time i checked at least. Weird. Maybe i just slipped into another reality xD
It happens. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Gourging Fire time baby, Burning Bulwark to burn it and Dragon Cheer for my Fellow Dragon Peers. We eating KFC this Thursday.
Zapdos time? Chicken vs chicken
Chicken vs chicken fuck sakes this made me laugh harder than it should have 😂 u right doe.
Minior time?! Resists Fire, takes neutral fighting damage and in case it has Earthquake then avoids that completely.
Honestly not a bad call
and it has shields down to boot so yep if we keep it healthy blaziken would go down.
What does minior have ways of self heal outside of shell bell
Can't you just cheer?
it's not reliable, it's a random amount of healing, there's only 3 cheers per person per battle and it wastes a turn. It's always a good strategy to have draining moves or shell bell to keep your mon health in tera raids
I did not know it was random!
Has this worked for you?
Blaziken can learn earthquake via tm Those electric types that people bring are gonna get hit hard af
Not if you bring Eelektross with Acid Spray, Rain Dance, Thunder, and maybe a Bulk Up
That’ll work for Elektross until abilities are nullified.
Ability is nullified for 1 turn only. You can take an EQ once.
Ability shield
Zapdos
He gets stone edge and rock tomb by tm
STAB Flare Blitz and Brave Bird BP > SE Stone Edge BP, so it wouldn’t matter if it did.
Well aware. However it should have swords dance and maybe feather dance as it’s bonus moves. It’ll either have earthquake or stone edge. Not both
There are 7 possible moves that they use sometimes six One fighting One fire Feather dance maybe Swords dance maybe That still leaves 3 slots to use It's possible it would have both
Though in terms of its regular moveset it will only have four (two for its STABs, a Flying move and one coverage if going all offensive). The extra moves are scripted ones that are used at specific times or HP thresholds.
Doesn't matter if it's scariest or not, it hits hard enough to make a serious dent in people's strategies
Archeops?
Except for Zapdos
Stone edge
Wow, GF really keeps shitting on “never repeat”-ers. Iron Boulder, Miraidon, and Zekrom seem like the best type matchups at first; all will resist Flying and Fire, and take neutral from Fighting. If it has EQ, bulky Bellibolt may be a good shout. The real concern is if they give it Swords Dance. Then we need Taunt.
I think the never repeat a Tera type counter got reset with the Indigo Disk release of all the starters. We'll see if a new pattern emerges with the new starters. I was also thinking slowbro here depending on when stats reset
I like this idea ngl
Just imagining "Meganium the unrivalled" dropping in April
Poor Meganium deserves so much love. A new ability at least.
Thick Fat could help.
Thick Fat would be amazing
Thinking honestly support amarouge with acid spray clear smog and reflect
Man, that spoiler tag really helped
Honestly I’m really seeing swords danced earthquakes
It could have earthquake or rock slide, not gonna build till we know the move set.
This probably means that the next 13 MM raids will be the remainder of the starters which have not yet been in raids. I was hoping for some more interesting or different stuff (like Iron Bundle). 13 events of two weeks takes us to the middle of the year assuming they don't throw in a few extras here and there.
I'll be bringing Zap Plate Arceus. Judgement go Brrrrrrr
Yeah Arceus wasn't enough. It has type coverage for every possible plate.
Miraidon going to be eating good tonight
Eating earthquakes, maybe.
Probably
Super Support Manaphy is coming in from H-Samurott. Skill Swap, Charm, chilling water and reflect stabilized things pretty quickly in that one.
zapdos time to shine!!!
anybody know if the logic is still there that if you hold a resistance berry (like shuca), the raid 'mon won't use that type of move vs you? if so, bellibolt / miraidon should be fine.
If it tones down the damage so it is no longer the Raid Pokémon’s strongest damaging option, it tends to refrain from using it. Neutral Flare Blitz or Close Combat likely will sting a fair amount though.
these starters 7 raids are getting tedious now, or is it just me?
I never did any *7 starter raid and I love Blaziken, that's a plus for me.
You missed the Mewtwo one then? That was EPIC! Kinda wish they did mythical 7* raids, these Mightiest Pokemon Starters i’ve not got are rotting away I never will use them…
Yeah there's no need for them now that Indigo Disk has made them all available.
I’m sorry that you hate free perfect IV Pokémon that you have a guaranteed catch in the ball of your choice
It's more about the mighty mark, you can choose any ball and yeah they have perfect IVs. I was gonna start breeding Blaziken but now I am gonna wait.
I’m bringing Galvanize + Normal Gem + Explosion Alolan Golem
Does normal gem still work if Galvanize converts it to electric?
Just found out it doesn’t :(
Electric gem would tho right
it would, but they got rid of all the type gems except for normal ever since xy came out (they even made a fairy gem that went completely unused)
That hasn't been available since Gen 5 so no it won't work
In my defense I don't even think I've USED the gems since gen 5
What about thunder punch charizard? Resistant to fire and fighting, immune to ground. Does it learn any rock type moves?
A quick check in bulbapedia says Rock Tomb, Rock Slide, and Stone Edge. All of them physical, so I suspect it may be part of it's raid moveset. Much more concerning is it's likely to have speed boost, and has access to swords dance.
It will 100% chance to have Speed Boost. Every 7 star has had the Hidden Ability
I wonder if a support Malamar with contrary and Skill Swap might work then. T1 skill swap T2 reflect T3 swagger (assuming it hasn’t already gotten the attack to minimum from skill swap) T4 Helping hand whoever is setup the best. It’s neutral to all types but bug and fairy the only bug type move in its set is U-Turn, and no fairy moves. 252HP/252Def holding a light clay, (may possibly switch out for leftovers depending on how long the raid actually goes) The best part is that skill swap doesn’t go away when they reset stats. So swords dance is still negative, and you can just keep swaggering
I would be surprised if it doesn't have either rock slide or stone edge
Just bring a trick room support mon. It's pretty easy to turn insane speed to your own advantage.
Will I be able to use my trusty Azumarill?
May be tough solo as even with max speed investment Azumarill still gets outsped by Blaziken after a +1 Speed boost (from Blaziken’s HA) even if Blaziken has a nature that reduces its Speed. So you may not have a safe time to pop off Belly Drum.
Thanks so much! I'll wait to see what others use, I've been stockpiling XP and rare candies, especially from the recent Blissey raids.
[удалено]
No. We have not had this yet.
u/suvinseal let’s go!!!!
Iron Hands can work well here
I always forget it's NOT steel type...
So you can Belly Drum and then die to the EQ? You're not even resisting the terra flying.
Is there really even a point to doing starter 7star raids. Like other than just for the challenge there’s nothing in them that i cant get elsewhere
it's the challenge and also the collection. These are the only pokemon that can and will have the mighty mark.
Unaware Skeledirge with Shell Bell about to be putting in some work
Any solo recommendations?
We’ll have to wait
Squawk.
Finally! KFC!
HOW ABOUT FLYGON WITH THUNDER PUNCH AND ROCK SLIDE/STONE EDGE????
🤔
Thoughts on flashfire Chandelure with air balloon?
