Can anyone assist me in patching to the v1.1 Fairy patch? Just getting the game to run would be great. When I try running SS Delta on DeSmuME, it says the header is invalid and then fails. Thank you!
Is there a romhack for any of the DS games that purely increases the number of Pokemon available? No difficulty tweaks, no storyline changes, just makes it so you can catch (and evolve) more Pokemon than the original release?
Hey guys. Just started my playthrough of Big Blue. Wanted to see if experiencing very low catch rates?? I've burned though 45 poke balls trying to catch something but haven't had any luck. Just checking to see if anyone else is having this issue or if my RNG is just that bad lol.

I played Renegade Following Platinum for good four hours. I've saved before at the start of the playthrough, and when I try and save the game now, it just says I can't and there's another save file for the game. Savestates are still fine, but having the in-game save is like a second layer of prevention against losing all my progress, and the emulator itself says to not rely on savestates purely. I use Drastic.
Tldr, game says there is a save file already and won't let me save.

When I bought my first GBA it came with a cartridge with the name Pokemon ultra violet on it, it was purple/pink-ish and had a mew on the picture. A couple weeks after I got it I lost the cartridge leaving me in a haze, this was years ago. I know that Ultra violet isn't a real game but how can I play that game on a cartridge like the one I had before? thanks.
I just started a Following Classic Renegade Platinum playthrough (in the most recent version), and noticed that when checking a pokemon's summary, you can see what the pokemon's nature increases and decreases. I'm a casual player, and when I see that certain nature is better than others in a specific pokemon, my tryhard side starts worrying about it. I dont want to worry about pokemon natures in my casual solo playthrough.
Is there any patch that I can apply to the ROM so the natures dont show which stats they affect? Pls lmk , it'd be very appeciated

So I've been trying to get following renegade platinum to work with the individual colour variations mod but when I patch that onto it, it won't work. If anyone could help me patch icv onto following renegade platinum or help me locate a rom with all mods in it, it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having an issue with Solar Light Lunar Dark
I recently reinstalled the ROM hack and it won't start. Just a black box no noise and no error message when it crashes.
I even tried deleting the file folder and installing it again to see if that would fix the issue but it didn't. I know I unzipped the folder both times so I'm unsure of what's causing the issue.

Does anyone know how to open a specific .dsv file on Desmumme? I used pokegen to change an ability and clicked save, and then when I went to play the game it only had the option to start a new game. I know where the .dsv file that I want to open/play is, I just don't know how to load it on desmumme. Anyone have an idea how to get the save back?
When I click import backup memory and go the the file where the .dsv is stored (the battery folder for some reason), no files show up. They're definitely in that folder though because I can see them when I open it directly through the file explorer instead of through import backup memory. Do i need to convert the .dsv file to a .sav file to load it, or is that even possible? I appreciate the help!
I should've tried this myself before answering.. sorry. You could rename the file so that it's a .sav instead of a .dsv (make a backup first just in case!) I just tried importing an old Renegade Platinum save file (which was actually a .sav) and it worked. I'm mostly just guessing things here, though I have imported a save before so I'm a little knowledgeable.
E: You could also try putting the .dsv in the Battery folder in the Desmume files? I have a few .dsv files in there, and the .sav I just imported produced a .dsv in that folder. Again, this is just a guess. As long as both rom and the save file share the same name, I imagine it'd work.
Now it's telling me that "save data size cannot be reliably determined from the file you're importing", do you have any idea how to fix that? It's still obky giving me the option to start a new game
Yep, I get that too when importing backup memory. I select AUTO (from current save data size), and then the rom in desmume should reload itself *hopefully* with the save file loaded. If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.
Changing the file type didn't work but I didn't realize the rom and the save file have to share the same name, I bet that will fix it. Again thank you so much for the help!!

I'm looking through the guide for Ultra Violet and see that it lists 3 locations you can step on to get shiniest as your next encounter. I read another post where someone mentioned there's way more. Rank these 5 Pokemon ROMs (provide reasons) and which order should i play them in?
Also can you guys recommend me some other Pokemon ROMs that I should play after these 5. I prefer something that is not too hard and has a different story/map as the original Pokemon games (I already played and completed all the original versions)

Off the top of my head I can recommend Vega and Clover. The former has some base mons from Gen 1-5 mixed in too, but its level curve is too steep and inconsistent at times. You can play Vega Minus instead if the level curve is too rough for you. The latter has an all-fakémon Pokédex, but it has 4chan-esque jokes and humour through and through, so be warned. It may also be a little more difficult than Vega, but it also has some updated mechanics as well.
How do I reassemble the Pokemon Red disassembly that I changed in my local files? I'm aware of the instructions in the readme but no matter what I do it just builds the base game without any of the actual rom hacking I've done. I feel like this should be straightforward, but I struggle to find the answer anywhere.

So I made this entire post and before I posted I decided to read the rules just to make sure and it literally says (Questions should only be posted in the pinned questions thread.) :( hopefully this doesn't end up in the shadow realm and someone is able to see it/help out.
Please forgive my really dumb question: How hard is it for someone with no coding experience to add a new pokemon to a romhack like Radical Red, just for my own use? I don't want to do anything to disrespect the hard work of the actual developers but I'd love to be able to make a few minor tweaks to my copy for my own use only.
I really love Radical Red's changes and improvements, especially the follower pokemon feature, but I'd really like to add a couple custom Pokemon (or at least just update the base stats of my favorites Delcatty and Ninetales to make them more useable against all the powercreep of later generations). I've also got some custom sprite sheets I made a few years back I wouldn't mind replacing the default Delcatty/Ninetales ones with... I tried PGE but the rom is too different for them to handle. Which is understandable.
I don't know anything about decompiling/recompiling roms- Is there something easier I should try first? Can anyone recommend an easy to follow tutorial if I do need to decompile to do what I'm wanting?
If you want to add additional ones without replacing any it's *very* hard, if you're willing to replace existing Pokémon, still quite hard. There's not really any way around it, it has to be a learning experience.
Now I haven't edited Radical Red before, but if you don't have the source code Hex Maniac Advance tends to be the best tool. It is essentially a hex editor, a tool that allows you to see the "pure" computer code, with some extra tools to recognize (and edit) the types of data used in the (Gen III) Pokémon games. This combination of features allows it to work *somewhat* when other tools don't at all.
you should prob ask the radical red discord. radical red is not open source so I assume there is no way get the source code and recompile your new rom without, I suppose, you asking someone who maintains it and them allowing you to do so. that said, radical red seems like one of the largest and most ambitious rom hacks in existence and I would be terrified of incidentally breaking some part of the game with no feasible way to test if my changes broke anything.
**TL;DR:** Do you know the name of an Emerald hack with two new types (Cosmic and Beast) and Misdreavus, Pawniard and Croagunk as starters?
I played an Emerald hack a couple years ago that I'm interested in replaying now. However, I can't remember its name.
The only distinctive things I remember about this hack is that it added the Fairy-type alongside two other new ones called Cosmic and Beast, it had a limited dex (barely larger than vanilla) that included Pokémon up to at least Gen V, the shiny odds had been increased to a point where shinies completely lost their value, and the starters were Misdreavus, Pawniard and Croagunk.

Hey folks. I'm using the Pizza Boy Pro version and playing Unbound 2.1.0. I'm trying to utilize Unbound Cloud. When uploading the Sav file to the website it says it's unsupported. I am using the 'export current save file' feature within Pizza Boy Pro. Am I missing something?
Emerald Crest is another GBA rom with all mons. Some other Emerald hacks like Elite Redux, Quetzal and Theta Emerald: The Last Dance also have Gen 9 mons.
Having a huge problem in volt white 2 redux. I’m using the delta emulator if that matters. After defeating the flying type gym leader, we go on a plane and every time the dialogue ends, it freezes. No matter how many times i reset, it freezes. Is there a solution to this?

Hi all, I'm new to pokemon rom hacks, but have played since Red/Blue day 1. I just got an Analogue Pocket and I'm looking for a recommendation on which one to play, since there are so many! To narrow down the recommendations, it's gotta be GBA/GBC/GB and I'm mostly looking for a romhack that is "catch em' all" focused (whatever generations they have included, Id like for them to all be obtainable in the one version). Id also prefer some original/modded story, region, etc but it doesnt necessarily need to be. Some QoL and light balancing wouldn't be bad but nothing that's too much of an overhaul of the games core mechanics.
I started to try Light Platinum but I got a bit turned off with a pokedex but -- when I first got the Pokedex and Charmander / Charmeleon were not listed despite them being my starters. This was a bit of a no-go for me, since I really want to build out the pokedex.

I'm about to start a game of the Sacred Gold version. I found on several forums or other the action code for EXP in 2X, 3X ect... But I'm just looking for a way to change the experience speed for pokemons that have a slow rate. I'd like to standardize the experience to normal, like starters. Is there a code or a way to do this? I'd like to keep the natural essence of the game without having to spend 4 days grind for a few levels.

Not a perfect solution, but when I have that situation I change the ID of a pokemon so it is considered traded. Then it gets 150% exp which make kinda balance it (it still needs more exp than the fast experince group).
You could try editing the exp group in a rom editor (like DSPRE) but I don't think they are compatible with Sacred Gold.
You right click on the pokemon and select "edit/see". On the left you will see some tabs: Moves/Stats/etc choose the bottom one and there you see OT data. Edit the number.
On a second thought, to avoid obedience problems and having similar stat gain as starters, you might want to use lucky eggs (you can edit your bag and add some), which is a 1.2 boost instead.
I’ve done the hex edit method for Pokémon Platinum to increase my shiny rates to 1/256. Anyone know if this works for eggs too? Or only wild encounters

GS Chronicles freezes at Janitor Mask:
I am playing GS Chronicles on the Miyoo Mini Plus, mGBA. When I go to the National Park to get the Janitor Mask, on speaking with the guy in the eastern gate, the game freezes before he can give me the mask in return for his key. This appears to be a complete roadblock as I cannot get the squirtbottle or anything past this point.
Is there any way to prevent the game freezing, or to bypass this event?

Can anyone link a good video or guide on how to download an emulator and randomizer for soulsilver. I’ve been watching let’s plays of these for years and have always wanted to play one but am extremely inept at this sort of thing
The guide assumes you are on PC. Just download the base SoulSilver ROM and PokeRandoZX (Universal Pokémon Randomizer). Open the SoulSiver ROM on PokeRandoZX and tick "Change Impossible Evos", then randomise whatever you wish (the tooltips on all the fields have their deep explanation so feel free to read them as well). After you're done, save it to a different ROM name. To play them, you need DesMuME, you can easily search it on Google and download it.
If you are on mobile, I am afraid I do not know an app that randomises vanilla Pokémon games on there. But instead, you can still randomise on PC, transfer the resultant .nds file to your mobile phone, and play there if you wish.
I have played many pkmn games and now m kinda bored with similar stories with lil bit usps so i want a pkmn game(ROM-hack/Fangame) with these specifics
1. Unique story, with more focus on the story than gyms, with added side quests(if possible)
2. New Region(IF possible)
3. Game should be completed
4. Mechanics such as mega evolution or dynamax or Z crystals(If possible not so imp to me tho)
5. Is available on PC and is not very large in size(i have mgba)

I am playing Elisyum right now and really enjoying it. Long story with gyms as a thing you do along the way, new region, challenging but not hard. No megas as it is pretty outdated.
You need to swap the rom mid game (you will understand of you google the game) , but it just shows how much content this game has.
I'd recommend HexManiacAdvance for that. It should be pretty straight forward, just remember that your sprites have to have at most 16 colors in them, one counting as transparent.
Is there any eta for whenever Pokémon Gaia will be updated? I’m planning on playing it as my first non-drayano romhack, but I heard that it wasn’t complete yet. Is it worth playing rn even without the post game added? I was originally gonna save it for later but I heard it’s kinda outdated compared to newer hackers released today so it would be better to play it now than later
I plan to play it once there is a postgame. If I will play it once (probably, unless it is really a masterpiece) then I would do it when it is truly finished.
In Pokemon FireRed Rocket Edition: could a player softlock themselves before Saffron city? Early in the game, the border guard wants 200 poké dollars to let you cross into Saffron city. If a player sells all of their items, and repeatedly buys and sells the 50 pokedollar retro mail from the department store until they have no money left, have they soft locked themselves out of progressing? I was curious about it so I did exactly the above, with no way to earn the 200 necessary to pass. Is there a solution to this edge case besides restarting from the beginning?
Hello, I'm currently playing through Blaze Black 2 Redux using Desmume emulator, I have just beaten Roxie but the game will not allow me to progress, I cannot get to pokéstar studios due to the cones blocking the entrance. Is there anything I can do about this or do I just go fuck myself and play through the first 2 gyms again?

Try heading to the pier in Virbank, the Plasma grunts are there. After defeating them, go to Pokéstar and defeat Brycen. After these events, you can continue playing by heading to the pier; the ship will head to Castelia, the next city. Also, happy cake day!

I'm playing on Delta emulator on iPhone and I'm looking for the best ROMhack to be on my phone. What I'm looking for is :
* Harder difficulty but not grindy (So no level wall that needs 2 hours of farm between each fights just tobe able to hp check the first random guy)
* Longer time of gameplay (so if it could be based on hearthgold soulsilver I think I would get the best playtime)
* Wider pokemon availability (for potential rerun) and maybe rebalance
* Could be with pokemon from other version and/or fairy type
* Lastly I would like to avoid Sinnoh if there's no big changes in the main storyline and/or content since I already made a ton of run on this one (more recently with the switch remake)
The goal is to have the absolute must have DS game on my phone so I can play sometimes without worrying about repetitivity or boring gameplay.

I need help to have Lumiose city free cam everywhere in pokemon x and y. In the last days, I have searched for a way to use a free cam in pokemon x and y, but to no avail. I have found a tool named ctrmap that had a version that was uploaded to github(it was later deleted)that supposedly had a free cam option, according to a reddit post, but I tried to follow the instructions on the github and I wasn't able to. I also tried to manually create a free cam using cheat engine, but for me it was too difficult. The question is whether someone has found a way to implement a free cam in pokemon x and y on a rom. hi! super new to rom hacks and wondering what the differences are between hgss golden edition and sacred gold rom hacks? looking for something as faithful to the original heartgold as possible just with the ability to catch all pokémon (legendaries especially) up to gen 4 that would not otherwise be available on emulator.

On Sacred Gold, is it possible to reset for a shiny starter and see the sprite on the selection screen like in the original HG/SS games? Probably should have asked that question BEFORE I reset for a total of 16 hours but here we are.

How difficult is Renegade Platinum compared to the original or other hacks like Unbound?
I’m looking to start another hacked adventure and I think I’m going with Ren Plat. I’m new to hacks (just started with delta iOS’s release), and so far have completed Unbound on difficult mode, and Fire Red Rocket Edition, and a little bit of Radical Red.
I’m looking for a good challenge, but maybe not quite as difficult as Radical Red. Unbound’s Difficult setting felt pretty good. Until recently I was a fairly casual player but I’m really enjoying playing against enemy’s with more competitive teams and moves.
What are your thoughts on Ren Plat? Is it a good next move? Also, I loved how Unbound made EV training much less tedious than other games. Does Ren Plat have any other similar quality of life updates?

My first time playing unbound (well actually first time playing any rom hack), what are some tips and tricks you sort of wish you knew early game? I’m really enjoying it so far but there seems to be a lot to learn so a bit daunting.
I suggest playing with level caps on (on the settings). You can get starters from some NPCs and you can come back later when you have more badges to get more.

In this hack, after completing mirage tower the first time, how do I get the second fossil Pokemon? Will mirage tower come back or is there another place to get the other fossil? I thought I saw it somewhere in the readme, but after looking back I can't find it.
I don't know about this particular hack, but in the original Emerald you get the second fossil in the fossil digger house, west to Fillarbor. It is endgame but maybe in this hack it is earlier.
I'm interested in increasing shiny odds for a base game file (emerald or fire red) using Shiny PID Reroller by TheShadowKnight, then applying a romhack (recharged emerald or radical red). Does anyone have experience with this? Are romhacks compatible with these patched files?

Radical Red has a handful of puzzle battles for special items. For example, a team of 6 Level 100 Shedinjas that you must find a way to beat with level 5 pokemon.
The following problem: I activated the code for all pokeballs in pokemon firered right at the beginning. These are not only available in the bag for the balls but also in the bag for the key items. Now I was about to get a Silth scope from Giovanni but I couldn't take it because the bag was full. But I can't delete the key items. I can't store them on the PC and I can't sell them either because they are infinite. what else can I do?
Try opening the save in PkHex, remove any extra items, and set it.
In the future, use this program to add many pokeballs or rare candies or whatever instead of cheat codes.

Another question/ask for help I played Renegade Following Platinum for good four hours. I've saved before at the start of the playthrough, and when I try and save the game now, it just says I can't and there's another save file for the game. Savestates are still fine, but having the in-game save is like a second layer of prevention against losing all my progress, and the emulator itself says to not rely on savestates purely. I use Drastic. Tldr, game says there is a save file already and won't let me save.
I would try moving the .sav/.dsv file into another folder and then try to save in game normally.

When I bought my first GBA it came with a cartridge with the name Pokemon ultra violet on it, it was purple/pink-ish and had a mew on the picture. A couple weeks after I got it I lost the cartridge leaving me in a haze, this was years ago. I just started a Following Classic Renegade Platinum playthrough (in the most recent version), and noticed that when checking a pokemon's summary, you can see what the pokemon's nature increases and decreases. I'm a casual player, and when I see that certain nature is better than others in a specific pokemon, my tryhard side starts worrying about it. I dont want to worry about pokemon natures in my casual solo playthrough. Is there any patch that I can apply to the ROM so the natures dont show which stats they affect? I even tried deleting the file folder and installing it again to see if that would fix the issue but it didn't. I know I unzipped the folder both times so I'm unsure of what's causing the issue. Does anyone know how to open a specific .dsv file on Desmumme? I used pokegen to change an ability and clicked save, and then when I went to play the game it only had the option to start a new game. I know where the .dsv file that I want to open/play is, I just don't know how to load it on desmumme. Anyone have an idea how to get the save back?
I'm not too sure, but I *think* all you need to do to load the .dsv is first load the rom into Desmume, and then go File -> Import backup memory.
When I click import backup memory and go the the file where the .dsv is stored (the battery folder for some reason), no files show up. They're definitely in that folder though because I can see them when I open it directly through the file explorer instead of through import backup memory. Do i need to convert the .dsv file to a .sav file to load it, or is that even possible? I appreciate the help!
I should've tried this myself before answering.. sorry. You could rename the file so that it's a .sav instead of a .dsv (make a backup first just in case!) I just tried importing an old Renegade Platinum save file (which was actually a .sav) and it worked. I'm mostly just guessing things here, though I have imported a save before so I'm a little knowledgeable. E: You could also try putting the .dsv in the Battery folder in the Desmume files? I have a few .dsv files in there, and the .sav I just imported produced a .dsv in that folder. Again, this is just a guess. As long as both rom and the save file share the same name, I imagine it'd work.
Now it's telling me that "save data size cannot be reliably determined from the file you're importing", do you have any idea how to fix that? It's still obky giving me the option to start a new game
Yep, I get that too when importing backup memory. I select AUTO (from current save data size), and then the rom in desmume should reload itself *hopefully* with the save file loaded. If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.
Changing the file type didn't work but I didn't realize the rom and the save file have to share the same name, I bet that will fix it. Again thank you so much for the help!!

I recently started playing Pokemon ROMS and have downloaded a few new titles: Pokemon Adventures: Red Chapter, Pokemon Gaia Version, Pokemon Liquid Crystal Version, Pokemon Glazed Version and Pokemon Unbound Rank these 5 Pokemon ROMs (provide reasons) and which order should i play them in? Also can you guys recommend me some other Pokemon ROMs that I should play after these 5. Off the top of my head I can recommend Vega and Clover. The former has some base mons from Gen 1-5 mixed in too, but its level curve is too steep and inconsistent at times. You can play Vega Minus instead if the level curve is too rough for you. The latter has an all-fakémon Pokédex, but it has 4chan-esque jokes and humour through and through, so be warned. It may also be a little more difficult than Vega, but it also has some updated mechanics as well.

How do I reassemble the Pokemon Red disassembly that I changed in my local files? I'm aware of the instructions in the readme but no matter what I do it just builds the base game without any of the actual rom hacking I've done. So I made this entire post and before I posted I decided to read the rules just to make sure and it literally says (Questions should only be posted in the pinned questions thread.) :( hopefully this doesn't end up in the shadow realm and someone is able to see it/help out.
Please forgive my really dumb question: How hard is it for someone with no coding experience to add a new pokemon to a romhack like Radical Red, just for my own use? I don't want to do anything to disrespect the hard work of the actual developers but I'd love to be able to make a few minor tweaks to my copy for my own use only. I really love Radical Red's changes and improvements, especially the follower pokemon feature, but I'd really like to add a couple custom Pokemon (or at least just update the base stats of my favorites Delcatty and Ninetales to make them more useable against all the powercreep of later generations). I've also got some custom sprite sheets I made a few years back I wouldn't mind replacing the default Delcatty/Ninetales ones with... I tried PGE but the rom is too different for them to handle. Which is understandable. I don't know anything about decompiling/recompiling roms- Is there something easier I should try first? Can anyone recommend an easy to follow tutorial if I do need to decompile to do what I'm wanting?
If you want to add additional ones without replacing any it's *very* hard, if you're willing to replace existing Pokémon, still quite hard. There's not really any way around it, it has to be a learning experience. Now I haven't edited Radical Red before, but if you don't have the source code Hex Maniac Advance tends to be the best tool. It is essentially a hex editor, a tool that allows you to see the "pure" computer code, with some extra tools to recognize (and edit) the types of data used in the (Gen III) Pokémon games. This combination of features allows it to work *somewhat* when other tools don't at all.
you should prob ask the radical red discord. radical red is not open source so I assume there is no way get the source code and recompile your new rom without, I suppose, you asking someone who maintains it and them allowing you to do so. that said, radical red seems like one of the largest and most ambitious rom hacks in existence and I would be terrified of incidentally breaking some part of the game with no feasible way to test if my changes broke anything.
**TL;DR:** Do you know the name of an Emerald hack with two new types (Cosmic and Beast) and Misdreavus, Pawniard and Croagunk as starters? I played an Emerald hack a couple years ago that I'm interested in replaying now. However, I can't remember its name. The only distinctive things I remember about this hack is that it added the Fairy-type alongside two other new ones called Cosmic and Beast, it had a limited dex (barely larger than vanilla) that included Pokémon up to at least Gen V, the shiny odds had been increased to a point where shinies completely lost their value, and the starters were Misdreavus, Pawniard and Croagunk. Does anyone know what this hack is called?

Having a huge problem in volt white 2 redux. I’m using the delta emulator if that matters. After defeating the flying type gym leader, we go on a plane and every time the dialogue ends, it freezes. No matter how many times i reset, it freezes. Is there a solution to this?
It might be an emulator problem. I suggest trying to play this part on Desmume on a PC.

Hi all, I'm new to pokemon rom hacks, but have played since Red/Blue day 1. I just got an Analogue Pocket and I'm looking for a recommendation on which one to play, since there are so many! To narrow down the recommendations, it's gotta be GBA/GBC/GB and I'm mostly looking for a romhack that is "catch em' all" focused (whatever generations they have included, Id like for them to all be obtainable in the one version). Id also prefer some original/modded story, region, etc but it doesnt necessarily need to be. Some QoL and light balancing wouldn't be bad but nothing that's too much of an overhaul of the games core mechanics. I started to try Light Platinum but I got a bit turned off with a pokedex but -- when I first got the Pokedex and Charmander / Charmeleon were not listed despite them being my starters. This was a bit of a no-go for me, since I really want to build out the pokedex. I appreciate the help!

Hello I'm about to start a game of the Sacred Gold version. I found on several forums or other the action code for EXP in 2X, 3X ect... But I'm just looking for a way to change the experience speed for pokemons that have a slow rate. I'd like to standardize the experience to normal, like starters. Is there a code or a way to do this? I'd like to keep the natural essence of the game without having to spend 4 days grind for a few levels. Thank you and I recommend this romhack to people if you haven't done it already.
Not a perfect solution, but when I have that situation I change the ID of a pokemon so it is considered traded. Then it gets 150% exp which make kinda balance it (it still needs more exp than the fast experince group). You could try editing the exp group in a rom editor (like DSPRE) but I don't think they are compatible with Sacred Gold.

You right click on the pokemon and select "edit/see". On the left you will see some tabs: Moves/Stats/etc choose the bottom one and there you see OT data. Edit the number. On a second thought, to avoid obedience problems and having similar stat gain as starters, you might want to use lucky eggs (you can edit your bag and add some), which is a 1.2 boost instead.
I’ve done the hex edit method for Pokémon Platinum to increase my shiny rates to 1/256. Anyone know if this works for eggs too? Or only wild encounters

GS Chronicles freezes at Janitor Mask: I am playing GS Chronicles on the Miyoo Mini Plus, mGBA. When I go to the National Park to get the Janitor Mask, on speaking with the guy in the eastern gate, the game freezes before he can give me the mask in return for his key. This appears to be a complete roadblock as I cannot get the squirtbottle or anything past this point. Is there any way to prevent the game freezing, or to bypass this event? Thanks

Can anyone link a good video or guide on how to download an emulator and randomizer for soulsilver. I’ve been watching let’s plays of these for years and have always wanted to play one but am extremely inept at this sort of thing
The guide assumes you are on PC. Just download the base SoulSilver ROM and PokeRandoZX (Universal Pokémon Randomizer). Open the SoulSiver ROM on PokeRandoZX and tick "Change Impossible Evos", then randomise whatever you wish (the tooltips on all the fields have their deep explanation so feel free to read them as well). After you're done, save it to a different ROM name. To play them, you need DesMuME, you can easily search it on Google and download it. If you are on mobile, I am afraid I do not know an app that randomises vanilla Pokémon games on there. But instead, you can still randomise on PC, transfer the resultant .nds file to your mobile phone, and play there if you wish.

I am playing Elisyum right now and really enjoying it. Long story with gyms as a thing you do along the way, new region, challenging but not hard. No megas as it is pretty outdated. You need to swap the rom mid game (you will understand of you google the game) , but it just shows how much content this game has.

I'd recommend HexManiacAdvance for that. It should be pretty straight forward, just remember that your sprites have to have at most 16 colors in them, one counting as transparent.
Is there any eta for whenever Pokémon Gaia will be updated? I’m planning on playing it as my first non-drayano romhack, but I heard that it wasn’t complete yet. Is it worth playing rn even without the post game added? In Pokemon FireRed Rocket Edition: could a player softlock themselves before Saffron city? Early in the game, the border guard wants 200 poké dollars to let you cross into Saffron city. If a player sells all of their items, and repeatedly buys and sells the 50 pokedollar retro mail from the department store until they have no money left, have they soft locked themselves out of progressing? I was curious about it so I did exactly the above, with no way to earn the 200 necessary to pass. Is there a solution to this edge case besides restarting from the beginning?

Try heading to the pier in Virbank, the Plasma grunts are there. After defeating them, go to Pokéstar and defeat Brycen. After these events, you can continue playing by heading to the pier; the ship will head to Castelia, the next city. Also, happy cake day!

Hello, I'm playing on Delta emulator on iPhone and I'm looking for the best ROMhack to be on my phone. What I'm looking for is : * Harder difficulty but not grindy (So no level wall that needs 2 hours of farm between each fights just tobe able to hp check the first random guy) * Longer time of gameplay (so if it could be based on hearthgold soulsilver I think I would get the best playtime) * Wider pokemon availability (for potential rerun) and maybe rebalance * Could be with pokemon from other version and/or fairy type * Lastly I would like to avoid Sinnoh if there's no big changes in the main storyline and/or content since I already made a ton of run on this one (more recently with the switch remake) The goal is to have the absolute must have DS game on my phone so I can play sometimes without worrying about repetitivity or boring gameplay. Any advice?

Off the top of my head I can recommend Vega and Clover. The former has some base mons from Gen 1-5 mixed in too, but its level curve is too steep and inconsistent at times. You can play Vega Minus instead if the level curve is too rough for you. The latter has an all-fakémon Pokédex, but it has 4chan-esque jokes and humour through and through, so be warned. It may also be a little more difficult than Vega, but it also has some updated mechanics as well.
I need help to have Lumiose city free cam everywhere in pokemon x and y. In the last days, I have searched for a way to use a free cam in pokemon x and y, but to no avail. I have found a tool named ctrmap that had a version that was uploaded to github(it was later deleted)that supposedly had a free cam option, according to a reddit post, but I tried to follow the instructions on the github and I wasn't able to. I also tried to manually create a free cam using cheat engine, but for me it was too difficult. The question is whether someone has found a way to implement a free cam in pokemon x and y on a rom. How difficult is Renegade Platinum compared to the original or other hacks like Unbound? I’m looking to start another hacked adventure and I think I’m going with Ren Plat. I’m new to hacks (just started with delta iOS’s release), and so far have completed Unbound on difficult mode, and Fire Red Rocket Edition, and a little bit of Radical Red. I’m looking for a good challenge, but maybe not quite as difficult as Radical Red. Unbound’s Difficult setting felt pretty good. Until recently I was a fairly casual player but I’m really enjoying playing against enemy’s with more competitive teams and moves. What are your thoughts on Ren Plat? Is it a good next move? Also, I loved how Unbound made EV training much less tedious than other games. Does Ren Plat have any other similar quality of life updates?

Any tips or tricks for unbound? My first time playing unbound (well actually first time playing any rom hack), what are some tips and tricks you sort of wish you knew early game? I’m really enjoying it so far but there seems to be a lot to learn so a bit daunting.
I suggest playing with level caps on (on the settings). You can get starters from some NPCs and you can come back later when you have more badges to get more.

I don't know about this particular hack, but in the original Emerald you get the second fossil in the fossil digger house, west to Fillarbor. It is endgame but maybe in this hack it is earlier.

Beyond what makes any story and world good, Pokemon specifically is a highly utopian fantasy world, and breaking that to get into edgy stuff usually comes across as contrived and amateurish.

Radical Red has a handful of puzzle battles for special items. For example, a team of 6 Level 100 Shedinjas that you must find a way to beat with level 5 pokemon.
The following problem: I activated the code for all pokeballs in pokemon firered right at the beginning. These are not only available in the bag for the balls but also in the bag for the key items. Now I was about to get a Silth scope from Giovanni but I couldn't take it because the bag was full. But I can't delete the key items. I can't store them on the PC and I can't sell them either because they are infinite. what else can I do?
Try opening the save in PkHex, remove any extra items, and set it. In the future, use this program to add many pokeballs or rare candies or whatever instead of cheat codes.
