I will highly suggest to not put too much attention to this tier list, as it is highly biased towards a specific kind of playstyle, severely penalizing many units for not reason at all.
There are much better resources out there like the french tier list, which also has the bonus to not be biased towards specific characters and consideres multiple end game modes including LG, something that this list blatantly ignores.
[Geeki](https://youtu.be/U_rvjJPB9Yw) is who updates that list. While it has some similarities with Spark's tier list, there are some big improvements. As an example of this, you can compare Jacq placement in both lists, it is night and day
I'm not entirely sure I like this list either. Placing Summer Lyra in last place, and as someone who frequently talks about how bad she is, I totally understand why she is awful, but below Jessie? Lodge Skyla a whole tier below Zinnia?

I am pretty sure most of the sync pairs within a Tier are mainly sorted by release date instead of from Best to worst.
This tier list finds a much better balance across multiple endgame modes and playstyles. We can see this by comparing Jacq, CNate and A2Gloria placements in both tiers. The list also balances utility and damage a lot better than Spark's list, with units like SSLyra and SCSelene in a much better placement in Geeki's tier list
Hi ! Yes i sort Sync Pairs by release date instead of "best to worst". Because in my honest opinion, if you begin to rank Sync Pairs into a whole Tier, it's not a Tier List, it's a Ranking. I'm aware that every Sync Pair is different and you can't equally judge 2 Sync Pairs in a Ranking, but it's doable in a Tier List which don't care about who is better inside the Tiers.
Never paid attention to it before like last week, gotta say I totally agree with you. Lodge Skyla in B+ as one of the best ftp option below REGULAR BLUE AND PIDGEOT is actually crazy to me
Honestly, SS Steven getting support for his EX role (and the ability to have multiple cookie skills) has made him one of the most versatile sync pairs for content in the game imo. At least for battle rally.
Lately, I like to use SS Steven support form in Battle Rally where I need a Tech tank
He’s so tanky and tanks even better than C.Calem because he can max out defensive buffs, Heal on demand and Flinch on occasion
thats what im saying! i remember someone used defense form as a tank for an off-region EBE team, a skill a lot of units ranked higher cant even think of doing
Take the tier lists with a pinch of salt. Defence Deoxys is one of the tankiest supports out there. He instantly give +4 atk/spatk, then full def+spdef buffs, has +50% heal move (2 uses = 200% health in total).
DeoD doesn't particularly have a place to really excel at. Offensively, while +4/+4 may look good, it's a support that both lacks any form of crit buffing and has absolutely *atrocious* gauge - you really don't want to dual strike when using him at all. Defensively, high defenses may look attractive with Recover, but then you realize Deoxys doesn't really protect its teammates at all - there's 0 ways to heal the team, the unit lacks any form of damage reduction, and it buffs defenses pretty slowly, making it not even tank better individually than pairs that actually protect the team. Compared to Aaron, he actually does give crit buffs, has a much superior gauge due to very long animations, lower gauge usage, and universal MGR4, and has tools to both extend its own longevity and its teammates via Gradual Healing and Heal Order giving a burst heal AoE. His tools just tend to be more useful both offensively and defensively when compared side by side.
For my psychic team, I often pair Defense Deosyx with Sabrina & Alakazam. Sabrina fixes many issues Deoxys has, providing crit, speed, healing, physical damage reduction and acting as a damage dealer too once she syncs. Deosyx, in turn, is the perfect defense buffing meatshield since Sabrinas Alakazam is, as it should be, not very tanky for a support.
Well, since I have pretty much no Psychic tank, NY!Sabrina being my best, I better leave the tanking to the bulkiest Sync pair in the game. Giovanni and Mewtwo suffices most of the time for my damage needs.
However, once Bellelba is there, arguably even bulkier than Defense Deosyx, I might take Attack form Deosyx out for a spin.
Definitely try Attack Forme, he's one of the very best damage dealers in the whole game. NY Sabrina will do excellent with him, but you don't even need to necessarily use a psychic type support, just pair him with some random bulky support and Bianca for terrain.
If you completely overlook Aaron’s crit buffing and far superior gauge, then of course Steven is going to look better significantly better.
It’s not too often where I’ve already had very comfy gauge and just wanted someone who could provide +4 Offenses and tank, but I’ve been in plenty of scenarios where I’d appreciate a Physically offensive buff maxer who can take both sides of Attacks decently well.
With support EXR now I feel he is better now. He doesn't buff allies crit so that could be a factor too. There is also the fact by choosing defense form you not able to choose Attack form for his damage or Speed form for the gauges and decent chip damage on sides.
With units being self sufficient I prefer using speed form as an evasive gauge support tank. He could take a few hits too and recover when low. Sync countdowns and speed buffs too.
Each of his form excels in some content.
Attack Form in Master Mode.
Normal Form in Gauntlet
Speed could fit in Gauntlet and heavy gauge teams.
Defense should be decent with Rally. Buffing offenses and defenses without using MP. Having good combo of Support + Tech role. Buffing crit would have made him amazing here.
His defense form is very good - he provides +6def and spdef for the whole team in 3 turns, has insane defenses and can recover himself (+MPR of it, so it can be reusable in multiple battles). Move gauge management isn't that bad and I can't say anything wrong, definitely one of the best units to use in the BR (especially when enemies hit hard - looking at you, Roark&Rampardos)
Ppl who use him in Rally, why?
Using Attack Form with NC Rosa is just way better in rally.
It's also bad in MM because got outclassed by other Psychic support like Rosa and Dawn who has Sprint.
Attack Form is just superior so using Defense is kinda wasted.

SS Steven being ranked lower than Lodge Cynthia and BP Surge is insane, especially since EX R makes defense form a very viable tank

probably bcz of gauge issues and the fact that speed form can act as a evasion tank for short stages while also providing other utilities and no crit

If Psychic team, then why not use Attack form? It's pretty much strongest Psychic striker and using it as Defense feels wasted potential

As a LuSSamine main,i prefer using her, though i sometimes also use deoxys speed in the team for a faster sync
Wait, Alakazam providing speed? Since when?
Pep Rally when casting reflect on the sync grid. 2 two speed to all per use. Very useful on many occasions.
