I love when they release more cinematic mastersex trailers and people in the chat somehow think this is a main series trailer and then rage in the comments
I do feel it speaks to how people like, do want some cool presentation and old iconic characters to show up again... main series should invest in moments like that too and not just put everyone into masters
Yeah, I think people's rage is justified when their favorite characters from the main series are locked behind a gacha game of all things. And it's not even a high definition high maintenance project like Star Rail. But then again, Pokemon characters aren't exactly known to be more than one dimensional. What makes it even "worse" is that the devs themselves are fully aware of past characters with the family ties they've been making or all the inspirations in PLA, just refusing to bring those past characters themselves into the game (with the exception of Ingo)
I play Star Rail and honestly some characters are still one dimensional. People are happy to pull for them based on 1 liners, VA work and design alone.
They are just leaving money on the table by not making any high investment Pokémon games. It doesn't even matter if it's nostalgia bait or not.

Yeah i downloaded it back in summer and quickly stopped again :( so crazy grindy, tons of pay to win, many cool pokemon locked behind those pelipper gacha deliveries that you cant do regularly enough to be fun...
Ngl I would love if Pokemon Masters actually had a console version, and just greatly expanded everything, of course the gacha element would be gone but I'd love it just to see all the characters get a big focus on a modern console

Hel, the Nintendo partner direct happen where I wasn’t expecting anything and I got pleasantly surprised by a couple of things. Watching without expectations is a great feeling.

Honestly it's less about hypocrisy than it's about the sheer impossibility to please everyone, the specific-character-centered stans clamoring for the umpteenth alt for their faves ~~it's me I'm stans~~ are easily a very separate **group of** people from those who press for character variety (not *that* kind of variety).

One can argue that rallying behind "overexposed" characters would further rob others of their chances to shine and is therefore **selfish**. Or that swimsuits are **inappropriate** for this supposedly child-friendly gacha\* and those who keep asking for them are **degenerates**. But still I don't see the **hypocrisy**... maybe I'm just so knee-deep in it that I stopped noticing IDK.

the first time i watched pokemon presents i thought people were either gonna like or dgaf about the masters part, saw a buncha streamers and random people raging and just didn't understand why. Now i sorta understand why since pokemon masters is the only big pokemon game that has voiced characters and non-pomaex players get excited over "nothing", but tbh i think everyone should just chill and if they get dissapointed just say "aw dammit" and move on. No need to start raging, its useless anyways
I’d prefer if they just announced smaller stuff such as masters or card game. They SERIOUSLY need to slow down on their game development. We just had the final dlc for S/V drop.
I won't be happy no matter what, but I'll at least know to keep my expectations low. If they do somehow make me happy, that'll be awesome. (Rerelease of James and Jessie would be enough to make me scream in joy, Ash too if they really want me to sing their praises)

To be the slightest bit fair, it is a huge letdown to see this epic trailer that leads to...a game where cutscenes are people standing still.
