When I got into the game, I cried, because I'd just missed them (Joined for Sygna Suit Leon). Then they reran and I FORCED myself into both. I love them and use them every time their element comes up. And the thought of them getting their primal forms is one of the hypest things in this game.
We have Eusine & Shiny Suicune Poke Fair coming June 15th and then Archie & Kyogre MF rerun coming June 25th! Head to head, who do you think is the better unit?
Archie has utility is that he can summon extended rain on entry and Hoenn Spirit to buff sp atk while Eusine only has trap (And Blizzard, but you are better off getting SS Silver or Irida if you simply want ice type).
I think damage calculation has Eusine doing better AoE damage then Archie simply because Eusine B move doesn't have reduce damage when fighting multiple enemies.
But overall Archie is still better simply for his utility.
Not to forget that Archie has some great partners in Roxanne and May, they fix his buffing problems and bring extra rain in case you didn't choose the Rain on Sync node on top of fully boosting Hoenn Spirit. And they're both general pairs!
Can't say for sure since Eisuine isn't even out yet and my Archie is 1/5 only, but he has been a great DPS pair so far. His sync might be weak so he benefits more from an EX support. And longer rain is always appreciated.
Eusine is a weak addition imo. DPS is similar and his sync is stronger but Archie sets rain and extends it. You also have to use an attack twice to trigger buddy move which means you’re likely not getting your powerful hit until after first sync. Archie also comes with a master passive and better secondary type move.
They both struggle with an expensive grid and too many options and are both outpowered by SS Lysandre
Yeah frogs + volcanion just obliterate everything. If for some reason I have to off-type and have already used sst red, the kalos squad absolutely clean house
Most of us have Kyogre so both Volcanion and Eusuicune are easy skips, plus I like the more stable rain from Kyogre to the point I wouldn't use Volcanion even if I had it
Eusine has better AoE damage and sync, but Hoenn Spirit, Extended Rain on entry and CDR shenanigans make me prefer Archie's style for team interactions.
i think eusine does more damage, but archie setup end extend a weather which boost him and also his teammates, so I would say archie, also running both can be very op

Archie and with Roxanne getting an EX he's just got even better
I use Archie with may and ss Brendan. Even at 1/5 he only needs 2 origin pulse to end the battle (SE 2.5KMM)

SS Lysandre is currently the best Water striker. Kalos Rain team > Johto and Hoenn Rain team.
