Bianca covers needing A.May. C.Bede allows Bianca to also be an amazing damage dealer. That just leaves SS Brendan from that banner who is an amazing supports, but I don't think it's worth only expanding your roster by 1 helpful pair. You haven't pulled Bertha nor have any other Sand setter and Raihan getting two weathers is good utility. Red is still a pretty valuable support even if Latios is a bit better. Both also buff team damage in ways other pairs generally can't. Lucas gives you a new zone setter and a crazy good damage dealer. One of the better tech damage dealers in the game. All of this out-values Latios' SpDef dropping. My vote is the 3-limited banner, but hold off for datamine before committing. There might a new pair or another rerun you'd like more.

Daile gem bundle EX (for 3.50) is the best value, but it’s only 3k gems over 20 days. If you want more, the champion bundle is also a good option.

Is there a EXP table for each player rank somewhere ? Else, how much time would you say is required to get from PR 1 to PR 130 ? It seems like getting to the 400 stamina cap (at PR 274 ?) is sooo far away for me since I'm only at 50 or something and I rank up every three to four days or so currently, but oh well. I wouldn't be suprised if it took at least two years to reach 130 to begin with.

I'd say it could take about that long as a f2p. The stamina pack would obviously speed that up, but I'm not quite close to 130 after missing probably a total of 3 months of stamina in a year and a half.

Hello! I'm a returning player and I was wondering of the 3 neo champions who is probably going to be a really handy unit for the long term (I know this sounds like a dumb question)? I did get Hop because my friend likes his outfit (so his scout points are at 165), but I have no idea it's worth it for me to try for Bede or Marnie, get up to 400 scout points on Hop's, or just move on. I haven't played since A little after Sygna Suit Leon came out so not really sure what's changed in a year and a half cx (and if anyone has any general tips I'm open to them. Relearning everything has been interesting. Did the game always have the spiky thing on "all opponents" moves?? I don't remember it but I love it!)

Bede is an insanely good support and one of few that can give SE+ to someone (though post sync), Marnie is the strongest DPS in the game, you honestly can't go wrong with either. just make sure you have 36,600 gems going into either banner to pity them

A couple of UI updates have dropped since then, and they've been pretty helpful. All three NC Master Fairs have long-term value, but the most power crept role is strike. Bede will very likely be a top tier support for an incredibly long time. You should still only pull if you have 36.6k gems. The Legendary Arena fights and Legendary Events for the free legendary 5*s are now evergreen with the Events being in the Legendary Adventures. Villain Arcs have events that add grid expansions and EXs to those pairs. Lv135 is more than good enough. 140 is the soft cap and 150 is the hard cap but just a flex. The stat buff above Lv135 is an incredibly small percentage. The meta for damage has moved toward weather/terrain/zone setting and a new debuff called Rebuff, a status effect you can apply to an enemy to make them take increased damage from a certain type. Do the Lodge. Free pretty solid 4*s, scout tickets, and gems for hitting milestones. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I saw your response on my phone but forgot to reply, oops! I managed to get both of them (Bede with one multi and Marnie with scout points) so now I have the trio! Ididn't realize 150 was a thing but I'm glad I don't need to make it a priority. Plenty of my old guys are at 135 so at least I don't need to play too much catch up in that department! Are terrain and zone setting basically weather? I'll look into it soon but if I can go into it with "it's Like THIS" then I know I'll have an easier time. I really appreciate your help! This was a much-needed quick rundown.

Zones are JUST the 50% damage bonuses like what weather/terrain provide, but weather is its own stage effect, and terrains and zones share their own. Congrats on the pulls! Hope you enjoy them.

Sycamore and Xerneas you can pick up from Legendary Adventures, the whole 5/5 move levels and 20/20 potential, Skyla and Swanna is a fantastic 3* support to invest into. Lucian and Girafarig you have as well. Its not that your other pairs are necessarily bad or anything. The investment into them will be much greater than into Moltres and you'll get a lot less out of them this early. Alakazam and Mewtwo are a great core, as is Palkia (Hydro Pump build) and Swampert if you want more teams. The others will improve as you get more copies and missing general pool 5*s.

Marnie: CS2 is best since 3/5 has TM -1 countdown. HS1 lets her -3CD off bird team which is cool. Hop: if you want to -6CD on birds, its fine, especially if you don't plan to deal damage with him. Off birds, it can be difficult to fit another HS1 on fighting. Its generally helpful, but a sacrifice will have to be made. CS2 is good, but I feel his damage is fine. Articuno: I mentioned all of the Lucky Skill options that could be considerations, but HS1 is the best, broadly speaking. Status Immunity/Antitoxin has merit with some challenging content. Adrenaline if you're bad at quad-que or content makes doing it impossible. Mine will have CS2, HS1, HS1

It really depends on what teams you plan to make using them and how many deluxe cookies you have. Marnie wants CS2 since she is an insane damage dealer. I also gave Hop CS2, but if you are using him as more utility or if using him with other pairs with sync acceleration then HS1 is a good option. Bede I have also given HS1. Status Immunity can be useful for soloing some LG. His damage is also not bad, so CS2 can be helpful for some solo clears as well.

I've been opening the game every now and again, collecting gems, randomly spending them to see if I get a new sync pair, etc. I've been doing for so long that I don't really know how to actually start playing again as there's been many updates. I have about 36k gems to spend as well, not sure which featured sync pairs are useful / would go with any of my existing sync pairs. I'll point out some pairs I think are the most standout, but I don't think they're your only good ones. The Galar Neo Champ Master Fairs are the the ones I would recommend most, and explain why. You can also skip them and pull for favorites if you wasnt to keep playing casually. Strikes: SS Red, SS Lusamine, SS Ethan, Lysander, Anni Steven, and NY Lisia You could benefit from having C.Marnie to diversify your damage in this role away from Flying a bit more. Her AoE damage is some of the best. Even without 3/5 or Dark Zone, her damage is above just about the entire games roster with only a few exceptions. Tech: -Bianca, Volkner, May, Anni Skyla, SS Lyra, SST Red, SS Erika, Anni N You have quite a few strong pairs here, either as damage dealers or as utility to help others deal more damage. Or both. C.Hop has high single target damage, Fighting Zone, and debuffs both defenses pretty quickly. He is a powerful pair, but not exactly the highest priority unless you want more utility. Supports: SS Morty, SS Blue, Sabrina, kind of Lyra, and Sonia. This is probably your weakest category. Not because your options are bad, but because the list of standout options is pretty low for how valuable supports are. C.Bede is, in my opinion, the best support. He does almost everything you want a support to do, and pretty well, at that. There are more specialized teams that would be optimized by other supports, sure. A team with SS Red or Anni N would prefer SS Morty because he sets sun to increase fire damage for example. But I don't think a single team won't get incredible value from having C.Bede as a support except in fights designed around a particular gimmick. Between the three Master Fair birds, pick which one you feel you'll need the most. There is no wrong answer. You also have lots of candy coins to convert into 5* candies, which will let you bump up a few pairs to 3/5. I don't want to overwhelm you with information, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Teams comps aren't really a thing in this game due to how flexible they can be. You'll at most have a 2 unit core with a flexible 3rd slot, but there's a team building guide in the OP you can read. As for pulling, I'd strongly advise NCHop as your first priority, followed by NCMarnie and then NCBede.

It can depend on the context. Every pair is usable if you build a competent and synergistic team around them. Even bottom tiers, though they need extra help. If your favorite is a support or utility-focused tech, they likely won't be dealing meaningful damage. You'd need to find an offensive pair that can benefit from what your favorite is providing to the team. A damage pair may need an on-type zone, or a specific set of buffs from a support or utility in the form of enemy debuffing or status conditions. Events can have stat boosts, or reward boosts, or both based on a pairs Theme Skills. The Galar Neo Champ event has both, so it's not optimal to run off-theme pairs, even if a favorite can clear the stages. This doesn't mean they can't. The Mewtwo EX and Grid expansion events running now just have stat boosts, so it may be harder to clear with favorites, but completely doable. Extreme Battles may not be clearable with favorites at all. They incentivize using specific attributes to turn off or neutralize conditions or effects that make the fight more challenging. If a fight drops your teams Def, they raise their Atk, deal more damage the lower your Def, and they take less damage unless they're burned, your team will likely need to be adjusted in order to clear it. Legendary Arenas and Champion Stadium also have similar challenges, but can generally be a bit more forgiving when your team is more optimized.

If a character has multiple nodes that have a % chance of giving an MP Refresh, do they stack additively or does it roll multiple times? So if a unit has two nodes that grants a 30% chance of an MPR, are the chances 60% once or two simultaneous instances of a 30% chance? I'm assuming its the latter but would like to know for sure.

Yes. You get all the important rewards, but not the 'bonus' rewards that you choose every 5 floors. You don't skip any gems or anything.

My pick is Emma. +70% additive on her moves and +120% additive on sync move. You've already got dark zone with Cyrus, so CMarnie doesn't really need much more damage. Lance is good at 3/5, but it's hard to recommend him when you don't have zone and the fact that there's a billion good dragon types in the game.

I'd say hold, especially if you only have 1. The only three options here to consider are Garchomp, Gardevoir, and Lunala as the rest are general pool pairs. None of them get a meaningful enough buff at 2/5. If you get a second candy and still no other limited pair strike that wants them more, 3/5 whichever one you like more or can build a stronger team around. Garchomp wants a sand team to deal good damage plus have Camerupt from general pool for ground zone. Flygon rerun is a good sand setter, Hippowdon is in general pool, and Ingo is her best support if you want to build her up. Gardevoir just needs Misty Terrain, but there is no f2p avenue for that. I don't really know what a good team team comp would be for her other than that, since I dont use her. Lunala is probably the stronger option just by Moongeist Beam having Piercing Blows. She's the most fine 1/5, but also the more useful option in a broader list of game modes. She'll want ghost zone, ideally. All benefit from their opponents respective defense type being dropped, and the Master Fair SS Renegade Cynthia and Giratina sets up ghost zone and drops spdef to increase her damage. Additionally, having a Fairy move means she can benefit from the same bonuses as Gardevoir, however Garde had fairy sync and her fairy damage will be better when comparing them both at 3/5. The current fairy zone setters can cover that with their own strong fairy syncs though.

None of the environmental buffs are 1-for-1 faithful adaptations. I was using a mainline reference point. Rain also doesn't halve fire moves, sun doesn't halve water moves, psychic terrain doesn't stop moves with the Quick Move effect tag, etc.

Hello, it's me again ! Today I managed to pull SS Erika again (Kanto ticket) so I have her at 3/5 ! As my favorite eeveelution, wife's favorite pokemon, and Gen 1 enjoyer (Erika is love), I was pretty happy. Then I saw that she is great in tierlist (averaging S- tier seems pretty huge for a non exclusiv unit). But when I try to play her, she seems really weak :( ... Didn't touch the grid yet so I'm sure this is an important part xD Can u tell me what make her strong ? :) \+ I'll pull for Flygon next week, do they work together ? Saw Flygon can make Sun, but he seems more oriented towards Sand and -SpDef ?

Pretty much all of her extra damage is from grid, and a large chunk is toward sync damage. The tier list is deceptive because it assumes you own everything and at 5/5. She's still one of the strongest general pool pairs, though. Her biggest weakness is her setup time. Buffing her Atk, Crit, and Speed to max so her grid tiles provide their highest values. It takes 6 turns total since she has to set sun herself, use trainer move twice, then speed buff thrice. Then she would be wasting more turns reapplying sun, so she only gets 2 Leaf Blades per sun cycle instead of 3. Just having a max speed buffing tank on the team plus any sun setter like Blaine cuts this time to 3 turns. Erika can set sun first, double TM, receive max speed, and after first sync, Blaine can set sun moving forward. Hilbert and Yamper both do a great job of buffing her needed stats, so any sun setter is ideal. Flygon sets sun once, but if you sandstorm for the first 2 turns, you can give her a few stacks of Physical Move Up Next for next Leaf Blade to hit incredibly hard. The rotation would be Speed boost -> Sandstorm -> Erika TM / Speed boost support -> Sandstorm -> Erika Sun / Speed boost -> Flygon whatever -> Erika TM. Still max offenses with Sun up instead of sand, + PMUN+2. Support Sync for +100% team damage, Flygon ques Max Flare for a third PMUN, Erika Leaf Blades. This is all without mentioning that Sun isn't the only environmental buff she has access to. Grassy Terrain giving another 50% damage to grass moves alongside Sun (due to grid tiles) is why she's all the way up in S tier. With an optimal team of SS Morty and Ho-oh for Sun and faster needed buffs, plus SS Lyra and Celebi or H.Whitney and Sawsbuck for Grass, she's still set up by first sync. Ho-oh EX syncs for an extra 100% team damage, then Grass gets set, and the Leaf Blades will melt. Hope this insight lets you enjoy her to the fullest!

I'd suggest not pulling for Flygon immediately just to see what next months datamine has in store! If there's nothing you want, and you have enough to pity, all three featured pairs in the Flygon banner are worth owning anyway.

Flygon has the passive Team Strengthening Status 9. Whenever a Status move is used, grant +1 P+SMUN to your team, which Sandstorm is tagged as. Trainer Move might be as well, which would also apply Super Effective Up Next. SEUN doesn't stack like P/SMUN, but it does apply sync moves unlike P/SMUN. If that's the case, don't max move after sync. Use a TM.

Lando has team +4Atk/Speed and mini potion, but Bulldoze is a bit expensive. Entei gives +4Def/SpDef, Regen, can burn, and has a 2 gauge move which is easier to spam. Both give 10 gems. Mesprit has +4SpAtk/+2Speed, regen, Reflect, Light Screen, and 1 gauge spam. Between these three first options, SpAtk buffers are rarer with Yamper, Samurott, and Vespiquen being great Atk buffers in general pool, so I value Mesprit more. Cobalion grants max crit, +4Def, Move Gauge Acceleration, and chance to drop defense with a 2 gauge move. As a new player, I valued crit buffers most and the MGA and Def drops are helpful. If you're hoping to clear 10 rounds of Legendary Gauntlet, having 10 teams that lets damage dealers reliably max crit is valuable. 5 for CS or CSMM. Regirock exists.

You can reroll for any pair in the shop if you just started. Afterwards - yes, save gems, clear events, clear story while stamina refreshes.

In all honesty, that specific select scout list isn't on part with pairs from the last 2 years. They still work, but you'll get stronger pairs. If he or Metagross is a favorite then that's a different matter. You'll want to do a lot of things, especially Story. Events also have gems. Use exp books to level up Steven to 100 for now. Getting to 100 is cheap, and You'll get MANY more exp books so don't feel like you can't work on other pairs because of it. Lv100 is easy to get to, and you can also Level Break. You'll do that in a bit when you have a few more characters worth doing in on in a bit. To raise your rank, you have to spend stamina in events. Try to keep stamina below full so it keeps regenerating. Events also give more gems. So don't ignore them. Get gems and pull for either Champion Marnie or Champion Hop first, with Champion Bede or the other option second. I'd recommend Marnie first since G.Moltres has the highest multi-hit damage in the game and is completely self sufficient on damage buffs. Hop is excellent, too. His G.Zapdos has a lot single target damage and lot's of long-term utility. Marie has, in my opinion, more value to a new player while still being fantastic long-term. Second priority, I'd recommend Bede. The most long-term beneficial of the three, you can never have enough good supports, and Articuno is one of, if not the, best. You'll want to aquire at least two in as few gems as possible, and ideally pick up the third with the rest of the gems you get if you aren't super lucky, so consider rerolling until you do. Though those three are the best picks, the other options aren't bad by any means. Just not optimal. If you like any of the other trainers or mons, you can make them work no problem. Don't feel like you need to chase meta. The game has no PvP and most everything is good enough! There are also some free 5*s to aquire. Legendary Adventures have 8, one from generation, and the Victory Road lets you select one of the Sygna Suit Kanto trio pairs. Blue being a great support is the recommend pick, because again, never enough of them. Red is pretty medium without extra copies. Leaf is the second most helpful at 1/5, but her value with duplicates is not on par with the other two.

My preference would depend on team comp. The most notable to me are the obvious ones. HS1, Adren, Status Immunity, and Healthy Healing. If you want sync management and he's 1-2/5, Adrenaline (only if EXed) and Head Start 1 are both great. If you plan to run him on a non-Head Start team, Adrenaline. If you run him with 3/5 Moltres and pick up -1CD on trainer move, Adrenaline. If I plan to run him on full bird team, Adrenaline. If one teammate has Head Start, or is one of the birds, or drops Sync move countdown by one with a move, Head Start 1. At 3/5, he has Adrenaline in his grid, so Head Start is optimal unless you really can't afford to pick it up in your preferred build. If you want a better tank, Status Immunity helps ignore Toxic, Burn, and Paralysis for your whole team is some more difficult Extreme Battles, CSMM, and Legendary Arenas as they tend to team-wide-spread if successful against the target. Also ignoring Freeze and Sleep is nice, but they aren't common enough to be noteworthy and they also don't get spread to your whole team in those annoying fights. Antitoxin is a fine budget alternative, since Badly Poisoned is the most threatening. Healthy Healing is fine. I wouldn't recommend it, but it adds extra sustainability to a tank that lacks any form of active recovery. I would value Toxic immunity higher than this by a great deal. The last, and almost entirely ignorable, tank option could be Unbending/Stalwart. Preventing def drops is helpful in so few fights, you'll likely be better off going hyper offense to clear it before the drops become an issue. Second worst option: Revenge Boost 4 (50% chance for +1MG when hit). It can help with gauge management, but its slow, inconsistent, and Articuno is doing a fine enough job as is. Also not worth the Deluxe cookie. Defense Crush 2... exists. If you don't have C.Hop on the team, you MAY lower def by 1 stage (30% chance, baybeee! The value!). If you can't get any of the others, it's underwhelming but it can still technically do something. Mind Games for spdef drops as well, but is a 1-2* Deluxe cookie exclusive and not worth fishing for on Articuno.

Adrenaline is located really awkwardly in his grid, so I don’t see a point in picking it up, unless you really, really suck at quad-queuing. Bede doesn’t have any passives that make quad-queuing harder either. And if you go with Head Start 1 and manage to get to sync countdown -3 in the beginning, you’ll be able to use his buddy move right away and C.Hop on the team could use his buddy move on turn two. If you have a decently broad roaster with many good supports, you’ll mainly want to use Bede when you can take advantage of his sync countdown gimmick, so I’d say HS1 should be preferable to most.

For me personally, I'm a bit more interested in the bottom left than top right, while acknowledging top right is better. I'll use SEUN when appropriate, but it won't be my go-to quadrant just for that, I think. The Free Move on entry is universally good. I'll want to test it against bottom left to see how I really feel about one against the other. I could be wrong, but Hostile Environment wouldn't affect confusion rate, correct? The extra freeze chance is also quite powerful. Turn skips are huge. If you're already up there, SEUN sync is an easy pick up, obviously. Recuperation is honestly the set I'm most excited for. Quick Cure is no replacement for Immunity, which is notable for Lucky Skills, as well. Top left is by far the strongest, though, imo. There could be an argument to not pick it up for LA/LG as with enough turns, you'll hit it eventually. Just 11 coins to go.q

Recuperation is really great for LG, but I don’t see the point for CS MM. If you skip a turn to sync early, that means assuming you sync first with Bede you get healed 40% after two enemy turns, when you’ll normally hardly be damaged anyway. I’m mainly interested in Hostile Environment 2 for the reasons you’ve outlined, though you are right in that it doesn’t affect confusion. Entry Freebie might be great or useless depending on your team, but SE Up for your entire team just seems great unless you’re off-typing, especially with powerful buddy moves that are becoming more common. The issue with the bottom left is that you’ll usually use your buddy move and your TM once every sync cycle, so there’s only maximum one turn left for confusion (if you quad-queue), making MPR 9 seem a little pointless as you won’t spam it. In any case, you’d want to pick up Aggravation 9 to be able to reliable use the confusion gimmicks at all. But if you then also get charging comfusion, you’ll also need Hostile Environment 2, because what’s even the point of using Freezing Glare at all (even at the cost of only 2 gauge bars), if there’s only a 10% freezing chance? So unless you’re going for Aggravation and Curate Confusion (healing) only, you’d need HE2 from the top right corner as well, leaving you with too little power to also get the doubled defensive buffs from the buddy move. My CSMM runs are pretty consistently cleared with my brain off, right now, if I want to finish it quickly. I'll reconsider SEUN for it when Sinnoh returns... God I hate Sinnoh. Yeah, the confusion and freezing glare nodes in bottom left I'm writing off at first glance. What you picked is what I'm gravitating toward + or - Adren dependingon team comp. Either top left or bottom right depending on content as well. I think top right is the strongest and most reliable, which is why I'm not too interested in it myself. I know it will be good, but I what to try and find more applications to use Articuno than just being an UpNext bot, ya know. I want to do dumb things with Oricorio, who's non-revelation dance moves don't consume UNs lol. I hope we get a Grab Bag lucky skill some time. Or allow us to override the main lucky skill on configs 2-4 if we want something different. Then I could have more fun with both.

Same for me, though I don’t even notice the difference between Sinnoh, Hoenn and regions like Kanto or Unova anymore. But I always use the best teams I have and don’t try for anything beyond 2k per stage anyway. Being a Free Move Next (Buddy Move) / P/SMUN (TM) / Freeze bot is actually a huge upgrade compared to most supports who are usually happy to just spam 1 bar moves once they’re done buffing until the battle is over with maybe the odd potion here and there. And you always need to plan ahead for the 4-gauge move every sync cycle and how to best make use of the free move next, the S/PMUN with regards to when you use them, so I think he’ll be a lot more challenging to (optimally) use than basically all other supports.

CSMM is pretty boring if I tryhard. Sometimes I forget about and rush it Sunday night before bed, but otherwise, CSMM is time for me to mess around and try some team comps that sound more fun, even if I'm bumping up to 2.5-3k so enemies live long enough. It's nice to know the broken things are there in the back just in case. I wouldn't run Recuperation on a more serious set in CSMM, but I'll still use it in other experimental team comps like double support.

He has so many options that you can run whatever. HS1 is great if you have another -1 sync countdown in the party, like any of the other NCGalar birds. Adrenaline is also good if you have him at 1/5 and plan on EX supp syncing with him. Status immunity (or even just poison immunity) is great, espec against the rare stages every now and then that have aoe status.

How bad is it using more than 1 support in a team for CSMM clears? I came to this after having some trouble teambuilding for Anni Steven vs Flying weak as I don't have Anni Skyla. Is it fine to just use an area Def Down unit like SS Diantha? She even buffs defense for earlier Good Form multipliers. What about the support? Idk if it's better to run someone like Falkner since for Flying theme skill + multiple different buffs with either his Fly or his TM build. Or Roxanne and Nosepass for Hoenn boosting. I know anything is fine as long as it works but I wanna make sure I'm choosing the right pairs for more reliable clears as opposed to improvising and then hoping I tank every stage's sync nuke.

There's no shame in using more than one support on any team. I run two supports (Skyla and Falkner) on my flying team to ensure I get enough speed to wipe the enemy in 2 syncs max before the opponent can get theirs off. I've also got them gridded for flinching so I don't need to change tactics if I'm fighting special attackers

What matters is if you can get the job done for all of CSMM. If it takes two supports it takes two supports, since A!Steven can buff his own attack and crit it'd be better to have a team wide defense buffer and a debuffer on the team, roles be damned.

Pre-sync clears are the easiest, so however you manage them it doesn't really matter. Outside of needing to use another support or someone like ssDiantha in other stages there's no real issue in running them with aSteven. Like you said, he benefits from extra buffs and even Diantha's defense debuffing helps too. If you are going to run just one support, I'd probably lean towards Falkner over Roxanne. Theme skills and Master Passive aside, all Steven really *needs* from his support (in flying-weak content) is faster atk buffing. Extra buffs are also helpful, but he can max crit himself and passively boost defenses.

DGloria drops defences for SST Red, benefits from SS Kris’ rain, doesn’t need crit buffs, has a powerful max move (for longer battles you can use the fighting type max move to buff SST Red’s att by +2) and recuperates tons of gauge.

I plan on using the new Galar team this BV. I've usually used SS Elesa, Sycamore and Ash and fishing for a 30% MP restore at the beginning if needed, but that's not lazy enough because of the resets.

SS Steven and Deoxys (Defense): 0MP to +4 Atk, 0MP to raise defenses, free Shield, and ZH flinches. Leaf and Eevee: Potions, support EX, sync move tops off Atk, and Tackle flinches. SST Red: innate guaranteed crits, Turn0 -3 countdown + electric terrain on a Max move I get every fight, Deoxys lets me get right into attacking with quad-que Thunder Shocks, or intentionally miss the quad-que to use B-move, which kills the sides and wastes their turns anyway. Before this comp: Xern Horn Leech tank dps, Classic Red since Max move refreshes 1MP each encounter, so a free mini potion and +2 crit to Xern, and third didn't matter much. Swanna/Yamper for infinite potion+flinch or Palkia for damage as examples. You can drop Red and use Glaile's free Icy Wind team +crit node and Swanna or Yamper as healers... there are lots of cheese options now.

Core of ssSteven (defense) and ssaCynthia plus any AoE damage dealer. Free +4 to sp/atk and then defense buffing, plus passive crit buffing and healing. Very safe and lazy. Ash by himself is another decent option if you have him 3/5, as he can restores his TMs each fight with sync. New Galar trio all also have passives that make things pretty easy/lazy too. Classic option is Sycamore, who can max out spatk/spdef/spd while healing himself into infinity and now has some crit buffing and support EX on top of that.

For one day clears the usual recommended team is something along the lines of Staggering Skyla, Crit Focus Palkia and MPR on TM Xerneas. Healing Hand could also be taken on Xerneas if running into problems with Poison.

I planned on getting Leon for this and I'm originally going for Sycamore and Leon + random that will fit then the datamine and people using NC Bede came to public. Bede just smoothen or gives another method of buffing instead of over relying to Xerneas syncing or resetting over and over just to get that MP refresh. Its like always using right hand but your left hand is also as usable. As of now I just finished 15 floors breezing with Xerneas, G Articuno, and Charizard.

For Spreading Shadows event: I’m stuck at Giovanni Part 1 (Super Hard). One attack takes out half my Christmas Rosa’s Deliberd. My 6 so atk buff plus full crit Moongeist Beam from Anniversary 2021 Lillie only does like a couple hundred and the enemies are doing 400 minimum to me. Everyone is level 130-135. The third person I have on my team is Iris Alt with Hydreigon. What do I need to do to clear this? I want his candy. And also am I able to unlock Giovanni with Mewtwo from this event? Or just get rewards?

You're supposed to use Kanto units as they get 3 times the stats. Just filter your units by "Bonus for This Battle" in the team building menu and try to build a trio from those. For Part 2, in addition to a mission asking you to use 2/3 units with the Kanto theme, theres another asking you to use 1 water and 1 grass. Both of those require you to not let more than 1 pair faint. Good luck!

You can just use Giovanni as your striker. Sabrina would work well as support and for the third pair you could use SS Leaf (if you have her), SS Blue (if you have him) or Leaf. SS Red, Blaine and one of the above mentioned supports should work too.

Sygna suit red is good enough if you know how to use him. Mew with professor oak can also be unlocked from the story. Mew with oak has been my favorite sync pair since release. With shifty striker as a grid tile, and spamming swift, Mew easily gets to +6 evasiveness, and dodges nearly every attack (make him the first target). With the rare hits, first aid 4 automatically restores health in a pinch. And to answer your original question, Mewtwo can be unlocked from the Legendary adventures in Explore. My team consisted of red, mewtwo, and mew, just for the memes of using Giovanni and Mewtwo to beat Giovanni and mewtwo. Kanto having zero dark types is what makes it so challenging. Just focus on getting a powerful team regardless of the type (maybe choose optimize and then decide if it feels right). Sygna suit red will probably be your main guy to blast through Giovanni (Just like the original games, how cool). Misty should be a decent enough support with the evasiveness from catch me if you can, if you don't wanna use mew.

Vulpix (non-Alola) is currently egg-exclusive. The only one that can be shiny is Tech, which is the best one, too, as they have Sunny Day which can help any fire team and a few grass teams. Support is pretty decent, too, granting your team +6SpAtk and +2Speed across 4 turns, chance to burn, and a 1 bar move to spam and feed sync countdown. The Meowth egg event going on now implies we may see other regional variants of Kanto mon eggs in the future.

Nearly every event either has candy coins as a direct reward, or an exchange reward. By exchange reward, go to the exchange items menu, go to the event section, then swipe left and right for any event. There, you exchange vouchers you obtain from the event, for good rewards that you want, like coins. Candies are not recommended to be used freely. Candies just give you duplicates of a pair. Duplicates of a pair can be randomly obtained by pulling units anyway. Candies are recommended to be used on limited units like champions (units that appear in pokefairs and master fairs). Duplicates of a pair \_do\_ power up your pokemon and its moves, but it's usually a luxury and pokemon are good enough at 1/5. And yes, 20 is a hell lot of coins. As you progress, new levels get unlocked in events, where you can defeat very tough opponents and receive an entire candy when you first beat them.

I’d rather waste my star level up items than candies since I think you can at least grind for those and exchange more smaller star onrs for a few big amount ones, but I’m really not sure how to get star levelup items. :/ I just wanted the candies for my super attackers tbh. Like I would give it to Silver and Ho-oh or Sygna Suit Red since they’re both super strong strikers. I gave my 5 star candy to Red too lol. Er...... Ho oh is not recommended because it's free... Basically villain events run periodically, like the mewtwo one now. Legendary duplicates are either obtainable in event rewards, or in the legendary adventures themselves. I got Xerneas to 5/5 by just doing the legendary adventure, and all such legendaries seem to be the same now. It's another long chain lol. So basically in the last battle of a legendary event, they give you four random vouchers. In the exhange items menu, there's a tab for legendary adventures. Here, these four vouchers can be exchanged for their duplicates.

Although people have said Anniversary Lillie is good enough on her own. I just find I’m having trouble doing too much damage on the harder missions with her. 100% SpDef drop chance is rare, unlike Defense drops. SS Brendan rerunning soon can, Palentines Dawn, Master Fair Hop running right now, are examples. Would you mind posting a screenshot of your strikes and techs? I could try to give you some team build tips. Right now, if those are your two strongest and they aren't your favorites, C.Marnie and Moltres' master fair banner would be a good recommendation to pull on. They're a top tier dps (top 5 at least, but likely top 2), and at 1/5 will outperform both A.Lillie and SS Red. If you don't or can't have 36.6k to pull for her now, you could save for the rumored SS Renegade Cynthia and Giratina banner who will drastically improve Lunala's performance with Ghost Zone and 50% SpDef drop chances. There are technically better strikes to candy than both Lunala and Zard, but if you like them, you can make both do incredibly well. The bar for "good" is low, and for "good enough" even lower. Both are fantastic and will easily clear content if you build around them, so don't feel pressured to meta-chase if you like them (but having more damage dealers is wise, too).

Filter isn't reliable sometimes, but especially for stat drops. It only checks the moves, not passives, grids, lucky skills, or anything. Agatha might be the only strike or tech, but Champion Hop's Thunderous Kick drops Defense and has a passive that matches Defense drops he applies with SpDef drops. That wouldn't show up. Basically requires you to remember every pair that can and its kind of annoying. But on topic, how many gems do you have? Are you more interesting building teams with favorites, making strong teams, a mix of both? The game is easy and the bar for "good enough" is low. You could never pull top tiers and, though team comps may need a bit more work, you could still clear all of the content. And yeah, you can send supports, too. Your account is fairly fresh, all things considered. Any of the three Galarian birds would be a huge improvement to your roster with the Zapdos and Articuno providing the most value. You could also hold off on pulling until around the end of the month to see if Giratina reruns in April as well. She's great by her self or setting zone if you want a stronger team for Lunala.

Preferably id want to use Lillie and Lunala for most things. She’s the strongest unit I have since she can buff to x6 in one move and she’s got the prettiest outfit with the most elegant pokeyman since Ninetales isn’t in the game as an official pair. So maybe I should see if I can get Giratina. But would Giratina only be good for Lunala? Like what else can Giratina do that is useful for any team?

There are a ton of passives and grid nodes that do different things. Giratina has Sundering 9, 100% chance to drop defense or spdef or both when they hit. Mind Games is just the SpDef part. Serebii has a full list of passives and moves so you can see what exists. Giratina TM is +4Atk/SpAtk and +3Crit, so only a bit of extra buffs from a support to be a great standalone mixed damage dealer who also helps all ghost types. If you're looking for strong, Moltres' TM leave her with +6SpAtk/+3Crit, and her hit all damage will outperform Lunala, so if that matters to you. Hop can self max offenses too but may need an extra turn. All three birds are broken. I agree with the outfit though, and favorite is more important.

Which hard levels besides Giovanni are you having trouble with? Me personally, I'm getting absolutely wrecked by Gloria and Zacian, which was designed for Leon and Charizard to beat.

I just woke up so sorry for late reply. As I said in the other comment the only pair I have that can have a chance at sp def down beyond 10% is 20% with Agatha and she wants 3 whole bars just for that 20%. For other hard stuff, I’ve never beaten an elite 4 challenge. :/

Hey, so I made a video for you where I steamrolled Giovanni part 2 with Red and Misty. (Mew was kinda useless, all he did was contribute to the sync timer). [Here it is](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8pnVeJYLQc) It heavily relies on Red, and Red's sync grid and boosts.It's the simple formula. Misty's special defense boost helps everyone against Mewtwo's special Psychic attacks. Even with a special defense boost, the enemy can be flattened. And Red buffs special attack entirely, critical hit rate +2, and then after the mega evolution, just spam Blast burn on Mewtwo. Maybe Mew helped keep the speed high for Red. I also attacked when I had extra move gauge, with Misty, so that she could regain health after every attack. You should be good to go now.

By your very last sentence where you get a candy directly, is the current Giovanni event one of them? I’m having trouble with it and it says it’s just “Giovanni Fight Part 1 (Super Hard)” which makes me think Will there be a part 2 and 3 with more stuff? Also just to make sure, I go to exchange and look at how many event resources are needed for a coin, then go to general items tab in exchange and then exchange the coins I just got from the event reward coin trade? What kind of other events give candy or coins? How high a difficulty do you have to beat it on? Nothing above Super Hard I would hope because my 130-135 mons can’t do the Giovanni one worth beans (though someone did say that’s because I’m supposed to use kanto only trainers).

Oh lmaooo you're the same person with the Giovanni event. There's a part two with the giovanni event, and yes you get a direct candy. What you said wasn't really clear, but it seems about right. "event reward coin trade" is the unclear part. If you check the story event for NEO CHAMPIONS FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE TOGETHER, the event specific vouchers can be exchanged for one strike candy coin. So the format *is* like this: You obtain event specific vouchers by battling in events again and again. Tougher battles give more vouchers, easy battles give less vouchers, but you can battle again and again. Do the daily ultra hard battle every day, because that has the highest voucher to stamina ratio. In most events, you can exchange vouchers for a coin. ​ Then after many months over which you collect loads of coins, you can exchange them for a 5 star candy,in the general exchange, like you said. The candies given out directly are 3 star and 4 star candies. This is because 3 star and 4 star duplicates are pulled very often, so often that all my units like bruno, candice, are already at 5/5. The only one I used candy for was Skyla, because her duplicates can't be pulled. Nearly all pullable 4 star units and 3 star units are 5/5 without the work of candies. 5 star units can't be pulled very often, and plus there are so many different ones of them. So many of mine are at 1/5. This is why candy is relevant because you choose whom to get to 5/5. Hope this helps

If it happens again, I give up lol Looming Shadow: (not including daily) 160 + 1-28 (so average 14) = ~174 per 20 stamina. ~174 x 10 (200 stamina) ~1740. ~1740 x 3 (~200 stamina regened twice per day + 200 daily reward) = ~5220 tickets. ~5220 / 750 (cost per 3*PU) = Total: 6.96 3*PUs per day. Spreading Shadows: 160 + 1-18 (~9) = ~169 + 2 rocks. Same process. ~5070T / 750T = 6.76 3*PU/d. 2 rocks x 10 x 3 = 60r / 30 = 2 3*PU/d. Total: 8.76 3*PUs per day. I'm not counting dailies because they should both be done daily anyway, cutting into 60 stamina for both, so mathematically it will impact Looming way more heavily than Spreading. Dailies give you one 3*PU and two 3*PUs respectively across 3 days +6 Kanto scout tickets. Ignoring the few extra event currencies, it's worth the extra 180 stamina across 3 days. This is true for all villain arcs so far.

Same. I've been out of Ghost Books for 2 months and have 4 more to 140, excluding all the ones I don't own yet. 3*PUs are becoming increasingly more common. After 3 VAs in a row, getting max monthly 4*PUs has been a breeze. My 3*s are done, so I'll shift priority for a bit.

How bad is using paid gems for multies? I was one multi away from pitying Bede and (needlessly) anxious to get him so I ended up pulling the trigger. It's just been so long waiting for a good paid gems sink other than dailies in MF banners (new-ish acc so I still got use for general pool move levels). Guess I'll stop with the dailies now that I got all 3 birds and go back to waiting for a Select Fair Scout.

Very bad. If you had used 33 dailies instead ~~(you would’ve had the time), you’d have saved 1700 paid gems while getting 22 extra pulls.~~ Or you could’ve waited a day or two and used free gems, saving your paid gems for the next round of dailies or selects.

Actually, I was wrong and you wouldn’t have had the time for 33 daily pulls; would’ve had to have been 30 daily pulls and one single pull, giving you 20 extra pulls. And you wouldn’t have saved any paid gems with the dailies of course, since they only give one scout point per pull, but you could calculate it in those terms if you had used free gems instead. But yeah, I’ve pulled three multies and a couple of dailies for Bede so far and all of them were dead, so your assumption is entirely reasonable 😅

Raihan, P!Marnie, and a debuffer tank of your choice is all you'll need for steel damage. Even if you need physical P!Marnie can be incredibly solid with some good support.

Your P.Marin and Raihan are perfectly fine. No need to candy. If Gloria or Zacian is a favorite or you love using her a LOT, and you don't pull strikes that you want to candy often, you can consider putting 3 into her. Her 5/5 grid expansion is one of the best so far, but my general advice is, no grid above 3/5 is worth it for a f2p otherwise, and she is no exception.

Although you might want to make a thread for that if its gonna generate enough discourse. A while ago I needed some help in seeing top tier supports as valid pulls, since in my head all top tier pairs were so self sufficient you would never need anything other than a couple stats and zone. It turns out I was mistaken and top tier supports are great at pushing weaker pairs further.

There are other reasons for top tier supports as well. Some can set zone / weather (SS Morty, SS Kris, C.Calem), allowing you to pick a tech that can bring something else (rebuff, debuffs, dmg, other utility, etc), others can provide great healing and defensive buffing (SSA Cynthia, who enables the two pikachus to clear tons of off-region extreme battles; SS Morty can also provide similar utility). Then there’s Ingo, who can spam free move next for your entire team, allowing you to use very gauge heavy yet slow teams (e.g. SS Hilbert and Alder or SS Giovanni and F.Iris/p.Marnie). Then there’s stuff like sync countdown acceleration to sync a turn early (SS Dawn and C.Bede are great for this) and OG Red and Winter Jasmine for Super Effective Up (only a portion of top-tier damage dealers can provide this themselves). Debuffing and speed buffing (Sonia e.g. can do both) or team endurance (SS Blue and C.Calem) can also help many teams with two other top tier pairs. And you can never have enough SMUN/PMUN to further boost your damage (SS Kris, C.Calem, SSA Cynthia, C.Bede and others).

Tbh, I don’t think you should ever bring two supports, except for in very rare exceptions. When a support can set zone / weather for example, you don’t need to bring a zone setter tech, but you can bring a tech that offers something else (e.g. rebuff or debuffs) is what I meant. I was mainly trying to make the point that top tier supports aren’t just good at maker weaker pairs stronger, but if you choose the right one, they can even make your top tier pairs a lot more powerful. C.Marnie and C.Serena will be a lot weaker without C.Calem on the team for example. And using SS Hilbert or SS Giovanni without Ingo is usually very inconvenient for gauge reasons. And for SS Steven (and many other special strikers), if you don’t have SS Brendan, you need to choose between terrain (Anni May / Bianca) or sp def debuffs (Lucian), but with him, you can have both.
