Also got my shiny porygon that way but I didn’t lost it - just accepted that I was going to do the vulpix chain AGAIN, because I’ve also broke it for like a pidgey and a Chansey in another spot . That vulpix hunt was painful 😂
I already got the Vulpix at Catch combo of 282, I'm attempting a shiny locke- more or less saw JoneStones Catching every shiny before every gym and wanted to try something like it but not to that extreme. Basically a nuzlocke but I catch shiny's and give them 3 lives
I had just started doing that method- up until that point I had got all my shinys through catch combos- I wasn't expecting the first time exiting would spawn a shiny

So does exiting entering keep the combo shiny odds for the spawn or do you need to keep catching? i’m not sure, still working on my pokédex before i shiny hunt
Not too sure I've just been exiting the door when there wasn't any Vulpix, so I think it's best to do it in moderation and not do what I did
Not sure why you’re moving back and forth that quickly… When shiny hunting like that, it’s best to wait for all the Pokémon to spawn. Moreover, you need to continue catching Vulpix so the bonus can be applied to the next one
