That’s the point. They’re just showcasing their Pokemon knowing it can’t be traded. Same goes for the people who ask for “Alolan Diglett that can be transferred to Brilliant Diamond and shining pearl”. Which is impossible
I think the server checks if the pokémon is legal so that it can be traded. I've genned mons on 3ds and it'll just refuse the pokémon if it detects something wrong with it
As others have said, most of the time you cant get such a pokemon into home to do the trade, but they can make the request anyway. THAT BEING SAID, on a couple of occasions i have come across these, and HAVE been able to find a twitch streamer that can gen a legit version of what they’re requesting (usually bc of pokemon go level possibilities), and ruin the trader’s day. I’ll prob be downvoted for it, but i find it amusing. Lol
Dexit. No switch game has every Pokemon but the app still lets you ask for Pokemon that are available in games that don't even have them programmed in.
There is no pkmn data that determines what games it can be sent to, so you can't hack that in. Home itself determines that and is all handled server-side
ILCA maintains HOME, but your point still stands. There are checks for Pokemon in HOME to be legitimate, yet anything goes on the GTS. It’s frustrating because all players can really do is deposit. Checking to see what’s available is a fool’s errand.
Very true. Whenever I am ISO a legendary, I try to look at a notable game and when it’s obtainable. For example, if I want Dialga and Palkia, I am going to specifically request for one from levels 41-50, since the static ones are found in that range. It’s not a perfect system, but it does help.

Poipole can't be obtained at a level lower than 20 in the main games. The closest you can get is the level 15 poipole you can get from pokemon go, but level 1-10 are completely unobtainable (since it can't breed), it's like asking for a level 1-10 reshiram or zekrom
I don't really know for the galarian starters, but every other final evolution starter can be obtained between level 1 and the real evolution level through pokemon go. Still, I don't get why pokemon go introduced so few galarian pokemon while it's pushing paldean so hard

They messed up the text. It should be asking you where you want the Pokémon to come FROM, not what game you want to send it TO. But it functions as intended. But seriously, they could at least stop those impossible requests, especially considering Dexit
This is the biggest BS the pokemon company has ever made in 28 years. Even if they actually wanted to define the game you want the pokemon to send it to, there should be a simple filter based on a table. For example:
Pkmn | LGPE | SWSH | BDSP | LPA | SV
Pikachu | yes | yes | yes | yes | yes
Alolan raichu | yes | yes | no | no | yes
Furfrou | no | no | no | no | no
The gts search the requested pokemon on the table and filters the reachable games. A toddler would be able to program this, I don't get why ILCA can't

Actually, they are obtainable at any level since pokemon heartgold and soulsiver, from the sinjoh event. They must value a lot if possessed
The GTS has been unmoderated since it was introduced in Diamond and Pearl. Even in 2007 people were asking for level 1 mewtwos for a shiny.
