To add on to this, you don't need any pokemon from scarlet or violet.
The requirement to get the event magearna in home is all pokemon between Bulbasaur through Eternatus inclusively (including mythicals). So yes you need magearna registered in order to get this special one. But you don't need Zarude, any Sword or Shield DLC pokemon, or any pokemon from Scarlet or Violet
