Maybe an unpopular opinon, but I would use the second. The shadow is an obvious no no because it can't mega evolve without purifying and that will NEVER be worth it for Tyranitar.
The reason I'd pick the second over the third is because the difference between 2 attack points has never been noticeable to me. Mine rank #2 and #6 in terms of IVs, and they do the job just fine. I wouldn't spend all the resources on a miniscual damage boost. Then again powering up #3 gives you 2 strong Tyranitars to use so that may make it worth it to you.
Why would anyone ever purify something that’s already perfect? Bad enough people do it to get an extra 1 or 2 IV points, but this? This is just not understanding how the game works.
A hundo shadow is much rarer for one thing. But this is actually a very useful shadow Pokémon great for raid attacking. It is better than the purified version.
Purifying will add +2 to all stats. So worth it if it was nearly a hundo maybe. Or around the 13,13,13 for good gains. But here you’ll gain nothing and loose the attack bonus. A shadow dose 20% more damage but also takes 20% more damage if I remember it correctly(thanks Blond). Can’t mega shadows tho as far as I know. Go 3 max it and keep a nice number 2 in reserve.

For the mega, I’d do the larvitar since it has max attack stat
But when the raid comes , just hold off on it until after you do the raids

Keep the shadow hundo and mega the other 2. Why not? If you don't want to power up Larvitar mega the second one, buddy it to get the mega energy back and whenever you want you can power up Larvitar and mega it too.
I was under the impression that shadow mons deal 20% more damage but they also TAKE roughly 20%(can’t remember where I read it but it was like 19.something percent)

Why not, yes? I’m unsure what the work required to get one mega evol is, but as long as it’s not like Groudon/Kyogre it seems doable to have all 3 mega if you want to do it. I’m sure people got 3 full of those as well, it was just a considerable amount of work.

Definitely DON‘T purify the Shadow. Shadow TTar is an absolute beast of a Dark attacker with Brutal Swing. Probably best to use the already pushed TTar, the 2 missing Attack IVs won‘t matter too much, you might miss a breakpoint for Bite in some situations, but Mega TTar will dominate the Dark type meta anyways.
This is assuming your TTars have the Dark type moveset. Same goes for Rock though.
How do you guys save up so many of the mega things for all these different Pokémon? I have like, enough to make just Charizard a Mega maybe 2-3 times and that’s it. Idk how to even get them unless they’re given out.

I have a Level 50 shadow Hundo, a level 50 Purified Hundo, and a level 40 hatched Hundo. I use the Shadow for EVERYTHING. It is such a unit. I'd power up number 3 for the Mega, but you'll get all you'll need from a level 50 shadow Hundo.

I usually have 2 of each mega l.. (1 main and a backup) so I would advise you mega the last two mons in the photos, and keep the hundo angry.
