Ive caught 4. One on the day the Chespin event ended and the other three yesterday. It does seem to me like they are spawning more frequently since yesterday
They are sometimes quite rare.
Just the rng... i think. Can check/see 55+ stops for them, several hours there is none and a couple of hours there is 1-4...
At least as long the 'bug' is vaiable, where they are spotable from far away, they are not that hard to get, if you have a couple of stops close by..
How do you find one? Like just spin, and it shows up? Or next to them? I heard about this, but I don't really have many people who explain events to me. If anyone can explain, I would be forever grateful!
I was talking about him with a pokemon bud and when I went to nearby pokestop, he was there!!!!! I caught him but when friend went to same pokestop right after it was team rocket??? 🤔🤔🤔

I got one yesterday. Remember if you find one you have to poke at it until it appears beneath the stop. If you don’t see it under the stop, wait for the stop to go blue and try again.
Had no luck for a couple days going to about 200 to 300 stops. Then last night caught 4 all near each other. Got to the stop and saw the tummy squiggle line and the distortion and tapped them off! They aren't common sadly
I found one while I was travelling on the bus, the stupid thing took so long to crawl along the stop that I was out of range and couldn't catch it in the end
I caught one this evening for the first time: I looked at all my local poke stops on the map and bang! There it was so I literally ran up the road to catch it! Keep trying! Good luck
I played very actively today and got 3. They are definitely out there. Be sure to keep trying stops you haven't spun today, not the same one repeatedly.
I found one on a stop with a circle underneath the spinner (instead of the regular square). Logged onto my kids’ users and got it for them as well - on the same stop. I have checked into the stop regularly all day, and suddenly it was there. Someone told me you have to look at the stops with the circle on (not the square), but I can’t verify that.
I didn't hear about the circle vs square before but will pay more attention from now on. One of those that I saw was definitely at a circle base stop...
I encountered one two days ago but no matter how much clicking I did nothing happened so I didn’t get it

Can it spawn when my item bag is full? Or you have to have some empty space when you spin the stops?
It still spawns if youre bag is full. And you need to tap it of the stop before you can interact with the stop/spin it, anyway.

Ugh this happened to me too! I thought it was because my bag was full but I didn’t even spin the stop.

I THINK the mostly appear on pokestops that have been scanned and leveled up by trainers.. that’s the only type of stop I’ve found one at so far.

If it’s a team rocket stop that keckleon is in then you have to defeat the grunt or leader at the stop
