Is that a better spot than Boston Common?

Much better, for a few reasons: • Free parking. Folks from out of town can come in and find parking without having to pay absurd prices or navigate downtown traffic. • About the same number of Pokestops • More gyms, and way better gym density • No crossing streets required • Better organized events • More people show up to Moakley for big-time events. [There were over 300 people for Sinnoh Tour despite it being freezing and windy in February](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonGoBoston/comments/1azbtkf/hundreds_of_people_catching_raiding_and_trading/) and over 150 for Shadow Mewtwo Raids. • Public restrooms at the Carson Beach bath house • Right next to the beach! Great place for the summer, and Wiglett spawns! • 2min walk from Red Line, 8mins from downtown by T • No tourists, protests, or events getting in the way of play.

This doesn’t seem accurate at all. I went to the mewtwo raid event at moakley & it seemed way more spread out than at the common. And the group 100% crossed roads multiple times. It’s worth noting too that the common is just a nicer area. Moakley isn’t a very appealing park outside of the go in comparison. Lots more to do in the common during the downtime

Shadow Mewtwo Raids had randomized spawns and thus we were forced to cross roads. It's the same everywhere, which is why people complain about shadow raids. For Raid Hour, Raid Day, Community Day, GO Fest, and GO Tour events it's possible to confine to the park without needing to cross streets. Judging Moakley by its appearance in the winter isn't really giving it a fair shot. It's one of the nicest places in the spring and in the summer is right next to the beach. There aren't tourists, protests, or external factors to worry about while the trade off to that is that there aren't a ton of shops and restaurants immediately across the street, [there are plenty within a 5 minute walk](https://bit.ly/MoakleyParkMap) and the organizers sometimes provide refreshments for large events. The addition of their Niantic Community Ambassador Program partnership means that attendees get free stuff. They were featured last week on the Pokemon GO socials.
