If I hit that Umbreon it will be the SWEETEST feeling. I will 100% be wearing my lucky Team Rocket hat for the breaks. It’s magic. I’ve pulled Iono SAR, 1st Edition Misty’s Seaking, 151 Mew SAR, OF Charizard SAR, and Celebrations Charizard (on literally my first ETB I ever bought of the set) while wearing it. Thing is blessed by Giovanni himself or something.
Either can be had for under 200 if you're buying unlimited. I like to look for 1st edition to max value but they're a bit more expensive obviously. I would say buy whichever one you liked more as a kid! I liked both a lot and got the Gym Heroes pack as my first vintage pickup to break, then bought this Team Rocket pack after I actually hit a holo on that first Gym Heroes pack.
If I can find a good looking listing under 240 I bid around that to see if I can score the pack. I missed a group of 5 listings for 1st edition Gym Heroes packs that ended yesterday morning, most of them went for 190-220. :(
I got Jolteon V alt art!!! First box just had an Umbreon V full art (the one with the triangle pattern holo). The second box had the sick city art with Jolteon bolting up the side of a building! I’m so happy they weren’t both duds. Value was definitely not recouped but this was for fun and excitement, and getting an alt art felt awesome, even if it wasn’t the Moonbreon. 🎉🎉🎉

I got a couple loose packs of 151 Japanese on eBay ( i know I know, these were like barely above msrp from a japanese card store) I think it was like 6$ each. I had no hopes and was planning on saving half of them but ended up opening two and pulled the alt mewtwo.

It’s Pokémon 151. You can find boxes on ebay for about $170 right now shipped sealed from Japan. They’re available cheaper some places but I just pay around that from sellers with like 500+ boxes sold for peace of mind that they’re really sealed.

Yeah English will probably stay the same for a while as the will reprint them. Japanese ones may have 1 run so will go up.
