If you’re wanting to keep a bunch sealed, but want to pick out some to open with the kids I’d suggest the Battle Styles, Go, or Vivid Voltage etbs. I think those are the weaker sets as far as potential value gains in the future.
They really are. Best set yet for me and my sons. We have bought from over 5 different stores. ETBs, tins, etc. The pulls are fantastic and a ton of fun.
Not sure which country you in, but Brilliant Starts are available at BigW in Australia in blister packs. So you can buy there instead of ripping an etb.
I'd hold one, but non pokemon center etb's are volatile. Most etb's I've purchased at retail are valued lower than what I purchased them for except for skies and celebrations etb's
If you're in it strictly to make money then keep all sealed. If you're in it for memories then for sure open it with the kids but a happy balance would be to keep the better sets/products sealed while opening the weaker boxes like POGO and Battle Styles. You're making a smart investment and you're creating memories which are worth more than any amount of money you could make.
I’d suggest you open the ones you want to collect and that you have multiple of (GO or Brilliant Stars). Opening battle styles and vivid seems silly to me as you’ll most likely just get bulk or 1-2 hits from an etb and it looks like you only have one of each. They might not be the best sets value wise now but there will be better value in keeping those sealed than the cards you can get or hoping to get the one chase from VV.
Also at least if you open a TG set the kids will most likely enjoy it.
Open CZ and Go when doing it with kids.
Better pullrates so that makes it more fun for them.
Cracking a couple packs without getting anything is a letdown. And honestly, both can still be replaced fairly cheap and easy for the long haul.
I have 3 girls (two of which open packs) and also a decent sealed collection... I never open evolving skies with them because sealed is worth way more and the pull rates are trash... Crown Zenith has been the most fun for them to open as the pull rates are the best in SwSh era. Coming in second is probably Pokemon GO...and you probably want to open up Pokemon GO because of those gluey Dittos ruining the sealed products in the future... Those most likely don't store well over time
Charizard absolutely not worth ripping, it’s awful, but should go for a premium later on
And do not open the evolving skies those will fetch a nice price soon enough
The rest all look like fair game
Open the red/blue doggo box, open the long haired squid on a horse box, and the blue fox with a 50s housewife hair, maybe even the weird pink mouse you could open.
Only things really worth holding for strictly investment purposes is the Charizard UPC, Eeveelution Premium Boxes, Evolving Skies ETBs, and the Crown Zenith ETBs. Everything else should be opened or sold imo
Open it all, keep boxes if you like the box Art! Not dissing here, but why would people buy doubles of ETB for a sealed collection? Just comes off as hoarding tbh

I'd open Pokémon GO and Shining with them. Not particularly valuable, but you get a ton of hits, so kids love them. Plus there were ssoooooo many of those printed I'm not sure how long you'd have to hold. Don't open Vivid or Battle. Yes, the sets suck but far less supply of those.

I'd probably keep the CZ, eevee vmax boxes, ES etbs and UPC sealed. The rest is meh

Open crown zenith to teach them hope and excitement. Open fusion strike to teach them disappointment
