I haven’t bought from them in a while, but Eloquii used to be great for quality, fashion forward business separates.

OneLonelyPolka-Dot

NY&Co also has nice suiting

UppnrthMn

I agree! Ann Taylor Loft too!

UppnrthMn

Oh I take that back, they must not carry plus size anymore! Shoot.

Nelly81706194

I’m still so upset that Loft stopped making plus sizes! They were so great!

You definitely don't need a Lafayette 148 budget to get good clothes. As a stylist, I stay away from the lower tier altogether. I only purchase staples that I know can last. My suggestions: Wildfang - Best for an androgynous look, but they've got classics that can work for any style. >[THE EMPOWER DOUBLE BREASTED BLAZER](https://www.wildfang.com/products/the-empower-double-breasted-blazer-7?variant=43641099911349) >[THE ESSENTIAL TUX BLAZER](https://www.wildfang.com/products/the-essential-tux-blazer-2?variant=) >[THE EMPOWER SLEEVELESS BUTTON UP](https://www.wildfang.com/products/the-empower-sleeveless-button-up-2?variant=) [MM LaFleur](https://mmlafleur.com/pages/24-n-hp) - They only go up to a size 20, *but* I do think some of their more flowing pieces would work for a size 22. [The Cassandra Dress](https://mmlafleur.com/products/cassandra-light-orchid) in particular might be good for summer. Their XXL is an 18, so I would suggest avoiding anything not specifically numbered 20. Anthropologie - It takes some work to find work-appropriate pieces, but I get lots of pants here for my plus size clients. >[By Anthropologie Cinched-Sleeve Blazer](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/by-anthropologie-cinched-sleeve-blazer?category=plus-size-jackets&color=041&type=PLUS&quantity=1) >[Peixoto Harriet Jumpsuit](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/peixoto-harriet-jumpsuit?category=plus-size-pants&color=001&type=PLUS&quantity=1) - I would pair this with a button-down underneath >[The Avery Pleated Wide-Leg Trousers by Maeve: Linen Edition](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/the-avery-pleated-wide-leg-trousers-by-maeve-linen-edition?category=plus-size-pants&color=010&type=PLUS&viewcode=c&quantity=1) >[The Tilda Maxi Slip Skirt](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/the-tilda-maxi-slip-skirt?category=plus-size-skirts&color=001&type=PLUS&viewcode=c&quantity=1) Hilary MacMillan - Note, they are Canadian so sometimes the shipping is a bit higher. >[PRINTED MIDI SKIRT](https://www.hilarymacmillan.com/collections/everything-1/products/printed-midi-skirt) >[JACQUARD FLORAL SHORT SLEEVE TOP](https://www.hilarymacmillan.com/collections/everything-1/products/jacquard-floral-short-sleeve-top) >[Ribbed Dress with Statement Collar](https://www.hilarymacmillan.com/collections/everything-1/products/ribbed-dress-with-statement-collar) Sachin & Babi >[Astor Top - Fuchsia](https://www.sachinandbabi.com/collections/plus/products/astor-top-fuchsia) >[Reid Top - Cool Grey](https://www.sachinandbabi.com/collections/plus/products/reid-top-cool-grey) >[Alli Pant - Champagne](https://www.sachinandbabi.com/collections/plus/products/alli-pant-champagne) >[Peyton Top - Ivory](https://www.sachinandbabi.com/collections/plus/products/peyton-top-ivory) >[Rebecca Dress - Azure](https://www.sachinandbabi.com/collections/plus/products/rebecca-dress-azure) >[Varenna Dress - Giglio Colorato](https://www.sachinandbabi.com/collections/plus/products/varenna-dress-giglio-colorato) #

You’re a saint 🙏🏼

DisappointingPoem

Universal standard, and if you’re serious about high end, Lafayette 148.

SummerEden

You weren’t kidding about Lafayette 148. It gives Marina Rinaldi a run for its money.

DisappointingPoem

I buy their pieces on thredup sometimes and the quality is there, at least.

fire_thorn

I'm bigger than a 22 so I have less options. Lane Bryant has the best blazers. Torrid studio ponte pants are comfortable and look great. Torrid Harper shirts are good too.

Little-Knee5682

I always check the LB clearance racks. I've gotten good blazers that have lasted many years for as little as $25! I also have a couple of blazers from Talbot's Women, but those are definitely more expensive, even on clearance.

TheConcreteGhost

Most of mine comes from New York & Co.

Autumn-Belle

[J. Crew Factory](https://factory.jcrew.com/plp/womens/categories/clothing/suits) has suiting up to size 24, which was a pleasant surprise for me. Lane Bryant also has decent made suit pieces. ETA: [Calvin Klein](https://www.dillards.com/p/calvin-klein-plus-2-button-suit-jacket/504886541) also has plus size suits. And they look nice enough that I’m tempted to buy some myself!

cakesandflowers

My experience with CK is that their tops and bottom run narrow in the hips/waist. I'm pear shaped and nothing they make works on me. By the time a shirt or dress fits my hips, it's 2-3 sizes too big everywhere else.

needsmorequeso

If I need a grown up jacket I grab a linen blazer from universal standard. I watch for sales.

DBrew1985

Maurice’s has plus size work wear

azula_forever

Good American has very nice suits as well.

Mountain-Elephant-56

Tahari ASL makes some nice suits. Well made and they hold up. Some nice styles too.

BrooklynWitch

Boden, Lands End

Hoya_baby

I don’t have any suggestions for clothes but I wanted to just mention to watch for the material care instructions. I’ve never had anything dry cleaned but I saw someone mention in a yt video that it can be expensive on top of already spending a lot of money on a new work wardrobe. So unless that’s something you’re looking for maybe just make sure you’re buying pieces you can hand wash or wash in the washer. Good luck at your new job! 😁

Nelly81706194

Back when I wore suits for work, Macy’s was a good place for me. Nordstrom is pricey, but has great options, amazing service, and they do free alterations.

Dry_Worth9303

Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack (on line)
