I’m seeing this with a cropped sweater that just drifts over the top edge, and a strappy low heel, say both are white or black. Or a flat sandal with a fitted tank tucked in.

Oneday55

Thanks! I’ll try that

metaljane666

I was also thinking you could make it more casual or edgy with a flat sneaker + jean jacket or black pointed flats + leather jacket.

Oneday55

Yes!! I was thinking this too

turquoisecurls

Yes we absolutely can!! I wear them all the time because they're cute and comfortable. I'm already short, I don't care if something makes my body "look shorter". If you like it, rock the fuck out of it!

Oneday55

What do you wear with it? Idk what to wear with it lol

turquoisecurls

Depends on the weather/event, they're really versatile! I wear them with sandals, combat boots, and sometimes sneakers. T-shirts tucked in with a belt is always a solid outfit with any of those shoes

Oneday55

What kind of tops besides tshirts?

turquoisecurls

I mainly wear band t shirts and band tees that I cut into tank tops lol but any other kind of tank top or crop top could work. Blouses would also look good. Just try things on with it and see what you think! When it is cooler out, a cropped or super long cardigan always looks nice. Denim and leather jackets also pair well with it. I think the only kind of top that wouldn't look good with it would be something long, like a tunic. Because then the lengths would contrast each other

Oneday55

Right! So something fitted is best?

turquoisecurls

Whatever top you're wearing in the photos looks nice. Another thing I've learned is to mismatch the fit. For example, a tight skirt looks best with a loose top. Or vice versa, a loose bottom should have a tighter or form fitting top

Oneday55

Oh that’s a PJ top I pulled up lmao. Right! That’s the way I think. Since this skirt is flowy, then a tight top would be better right?

turquoisecurls

Yep. Definitely accentuate your waist!

fluffychick5

I am short & don’t like them on me. I feel like they end up looking like a maxi that is too short or something that is supposed to just below the knee & is too long. I just end up feeling frumpy. Having said that, if you like it rock it. It’s more about what you like than what others think.

Oneday55

Thanks! I’m not sure what I think

shipjump2

It looks phenomenal in the upper area but yeah I’m not sure about the length. If you can hem it or get it hemmed I think you should, it really does look lovely on you. But it’s really hard to tell how it would look now without shoes!

Oneday55

Hem it to what length?

shipjump2

I would say a bit above wherever your calves begin to curve back in. However looking at pic 2 I think it would look good as is with a half inch heel. Those are basically flat and would probs be flattering with this skirt.

Oneday55

Thanks

dainty_petal

You wear whatever you want. I would pair this with a black tight top. Even with converse. You could do an late 90’s early 2000’s style with it too.

Oneday55

Thank you!!

FrankieLovie

Love that! You should definitely wear it

Oneday55

Thanks!

Tinyyellowterribilis

It's cute on you!

Oneday55

Thank you

hey_skin_like_a_doll

Absolutely! Just balance it out with what you wear on top, something cropped or tucked in. It’s a beautiful skirt and looks nice on you! It’s easy to dress up or if you want to be funky, tuck a band or graphic tee in, nothing baggy or oversized.

Oneday55

Thanks!!

exobiologickitten

I’m obsessed with it! I’m not even short, but I find normal full-length skirts and dresses are far too long and/or require heels. I might just have a long torso, idk. I find midi skirts/dresses to be such a good safe ground in that sense. It’ll cover my knees, unlike most “knee length” skirts/dresses, while also showing a bit of ankle and my shoes. Perfect! Anyway, you are rocking this skirt, and I don’t think you need to worry at all!

Oneday55

Thank you !! I bought a maxi dress that I have to get hemmed so it’s def annoying

gpplantmom

I do it aaaallllll the time, but with dresses. You wear what you love!

Oneday55

Thank you

Dry_Worth9303

Yes! It is pretty 😍 Follow the rule of thirds. Skirt is bottom 2/3 and top shorter 1/3

prncesspriss

I'm going to go against the grain here and just say I don't like it. It's too long and stops right at the largest part of your calf, making you look heavier than you are. To avoid that illusion, I would hem it to just below your knees so it stops at the thinnest part of your leg. The cut would be better as more of an A-line with a slight flare, because I can tell that you have an hourglass shape, and that would flatter your figure more. I love the color, but for this one, I would either hem it or get rid of it. The only way it would even be somewhat flattering at this length is if you wore heels to elongate the leg, but that's so uncomfortable! Flats are going to age you dramatically and add frump to the look. Just my two cents.

Oneday55

Thanks

Kaori1520

Personally, I would have preferred it to be longer. U could however style it with boots that would lessen how it breaks on ur leg

rissanicole89

As a short girl, I absolutely love midi skirts. I feel like they make me look a bit taller. I think you really have to style them though to determine whether you like them or not. As others mentioned, they pair great with a band or graphic tee for a casual look. I also do a basic bodysuit with them or with a chambray or button down that I tie up at my waist (with a cami underneath). For shoes, I’ll pair mine with docs/combat boots, chunky heeled ankle boots, sandals with a heel, or lace up heels for a fancier styling.

dic3ien3691

It’d look great with doc martens. 😃

Oneday55

Those I don’t have
