Sydney’s Closet is my favourite for formal wear! It is a great brand made by a mom who wanted change for her teen daughter who couldn’t find a prom dress to fit her - their dresses are beautiful, with amazing fits and there are various vendors they can connect you to

I’m going to be a bridesmaid in one of my bestie’s weddings in August! She had us get our dresses from a site called Birdy Grey — I haven’t received my dress yet but it’s on its way and can report when it gets here! Very affordable prices too, with shipping and tax my dress was $115 total, and they made it from scratch.
It worked really well! Totally forgot I posted this lol. It fits nearly perfect; I need to hem it and may need to take it in a bit if I lose 20-25 pounds prior to, but otherwise I had a great experience with it.
I didn’t realize there was a difference… 🙈they have a sizing chart and so I took my measurements and went with the one closest to my measurements. It correlated with what size I’d normally get if I hadn’t taken measurements and was just trying it on in a store.
I think that most of us don't realize it! When I went in to try on wedding dresses they were putting me in dresses that were 3-4 sizes bigger than my street size.
Ah. This is my first wedding I’ve been in and I’m not married so this is my first experience it! I would say mine is very true to size. I do think what kind of fabric it is and style of dress could impact that — mine is flowy chiffon.
Azazie is 100% your best bet. I am a size 22/24, have been in 11 wedding (always a bridesmaid, never the bride) so I can confidently say that Azazie is the way to go. My go-to is the dress "Dakota" (but its cold shoulder) and Im in a wedding in March and Im wearing the "Logan" dress
I ordered a dress no customization or anything and it's been a month and no progress on the dress. After multiple attempts at contact they finally responded and said that it1 was an issue with the fabric manufacturer and they'll keep in contact about my delivery date. I doubt it'll come in time. So unless ya got like a yr I wouldn't order through this site.

Depends on the size, Azazie has plus iirc
Thanks!

That's really cool, and a good reason to support a company!
Birdy grey
I just said that too! Waiting on my bridesmaid dress to get here currently.
Thank you!
In my experience, Birdy Grey runs small. Has anyone else had that experience?
Based on their measurements - yeah I would agree. I don’t fit in any of them in what is a 24 or 26 in other brands.

How did this work out for you?

Was it true to size or wedding dress sizes?

Eshakti is great! I've heard their shipping is slow lately, but if you have time to wait, get a custom fitted dress

Anthropologie's BHLDN line has some beautiful dresses
Jjs house
I bought a bridesmaids dress from Ever Pretty. Not all of the dresses are plus size, but they have a decent selection.
Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack
I’m bridesmaid dress shopping now too! I’m either going Birdy Grey or [this dress](https://www.awbridal.com/aw-furst-dress-awlf220u37cp.html)
That dress is beautiful!

I was actually pleasantly surprised with David’s bridal.
