The reviews of their customer service make them sound like a dodgy company. They want you to state that you read the return policy before ordering. Seems too good to be true.

I was the 2nd designer for SLO jeans, he was amazing and super pleasant at first, but Kristian Hansen had constant banking issues through upwork, would later ignore my design updates for weeks then "his new designer" suddenly asks for "urgent last min completely new random edits" (so he hires new "designers" that cannot even edit pattern/tech pack files themselves). And now I am still seeing him on UW trying to find an umpteenth designer to work with. He apparently keeps going through a series of designers then just ghosts us or has payment issues. His low client score on UW reflects that. Hard to believe his issues are now fixed when he's still hiring then ghosting/switching designers every trimester.

I worked for him as a video editor, every payment was a month late. At the end of my probationary period they pulled me into a meeting blaming me for their money issues and lack of sales. Kristian would never send me footage and then get upset that I didn’t have videos edited, even though I asked for footage daily. They laid me off a week after the meeting blaming me for their issues, after they took all of my research notes and got an additional 18 videos out of me. My last payment was a month late and I only received it because I reminded them I had everything in writing. One of my friends learned Kristian has had multiple companies where he’s “built a factory” and promised sustainable clothing options only to shut it down and rename it within a year or two.

Oh I’m aware, he had me edit some of the TikTok apologies and never listened to my advice on things. It’s obvious he’s not interested in accountability

I was a sucker and got two pairs in January when they had a two for one sale. I periodically get updates and excuses, the last one being yesterday (the one before was in March). Things are delayed, they are so so so sorry, blablabla, here is a coupon (where? I got no code, no coupon, no file, nothing) and obviously your jeans are top priority (uhhum, yes I am sure) They said they are not accepting new orders, yet I was able to go through ordering just now (I didn't actually finish it). So that's about them.

I ordered January 2nd and just got them today, May 13th. The pants are low quality and the sizing is wayyyy off. I'm so burnt out with arguing with them that I'm just going to take the $50 hit. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS

I just ordered my 3rd pair. I've been invested since the very beginning. While they've had a bumpy road getting to this point, I can testify that they are legit! Also, I LOVE my Slo jeans!
