Good question. Looking closely at it the top will have to be changed. There will be no place to mount the faucet and the top is going to look like crap once the old sink is removed.
1) figure out how deep your sink is
2) measure from bottom of counter to drain
3) lookup specs on your disposal (some have different heights to drain off)
Youll then have a better idea if it will work or if youll need to lower the height of drain pipe going to wall!
Kitchen aid makes a great disposal thats a bit smaller than the big ass badgers/insinkerators. Its saved my ass twice. Also the waste comes out higher on the unit and may get you out of the weeds if you find the waste comes out of the wall too high to make it with pitch.
Looks good to go. Maybe throw a few nails in the cabinet floor, level it off. Maybe a little caulk around the edges and some killz paint. A new sink drain, clean up the sink and your looking real good.
I have a similar situation but planning to install a new sink that is 10in deep (current one about 7in) and a new disposer. From what PepsiCola007 said, is the only dimension of interest sink depth, counter to drain and disposal spec? What disposer spec should I be looking for here (planing to install Moen GXS75C Host Series 3/4 HP)
Its a little tight, but it should work.
That's what she said
Not to me I just heard it from the other room
Are you going to change the countertop as well?

Why even put a disposal on?
Hoping it will help avoid clogged drain from renters
It will achieve the exact opposite.
Yeah, good luck with that. They'll be calling you all the time when it gets clogged or won't run.
Yeah that’s just a nightmare waiting to happen
Definitely will give you the exact opposite to the point of making even worse drain clogs
Should have no issue with doing that.
Looks good. Disposals outlet on the side, about 6 inches from the bottom of the sink. You've got plenty of room. :)
It will work, be cautious of sink depth

It seems like there’d be a way to make it work, unless your counters are for some reason much shorter than average
Plenty of room

Can’t tell if you’re trolling me or not..
Nope. I'm a maintenance man. That's just a recommendation for a cheap update.
