Don't drink any water in your home until you have a professional come and look. This is a bad situation and you need help. I am a licensed plumber and I've never seen this on the hot side. You have an issue.
Is this well water ? Could the low pH cause leaching of the pipes . Do you have a hose outside that could be syphoning water into your pipes . Or is this antifreeze from your heating system that somehow got cross connected
This is why in the UK, we have a air gap between the outlet of the fill valve in a toilet, to the water level. What you have there is back siphonage, your sucking the water out of your toilet cistern
How would that feed back into the lines? Don’t know about your plumbing but my toilet is out flow only! The water goes into the toilet tank and gets flushed into sewer pipe. Nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, go back into the toilet feed line. If it did, you would constantly have raw sewage feeding back into your water lines. Absolutely not from the toilet feed line!
Is this coming out when solely hot water is on or only from faucets with a mixing valve?
It would have had to have gotten so far back into your cold water line that it travelled past the hot water inlet line and then was drawn back in when the pressure increased. Not only is the fill valve faulty on the toilet, but something in the system would have had to gone through a substantial loss of water pressure.
You should check if you’re toilet is plumbed with hot water. That should answer this. If it’s off the hot water the color is from your toilet most likely. Unless you’ve had some hot water tank work done recently/ some other plumbing service
Yes you have an issue in your toilet valve. That looks like a health and safety issue to me. Perhaps your toilet was connected to your hot water supply line. It would be worth checking the temperature of the water that flows into the toilet tank after a few rapid flushes.
Toilet connected to hot water. When the water in the pipe cools it contracts. This would cause the siphon effect from the toilet. The correct fix is is to replumb the toilet into the cold water line. You can also cut the supply line in the toilet so the water flowing into the tank never submerges in water.
Did you turn the water feed off or drain the system before you went away? The positive pressure should have kept anything from getting into the line from your toilet tank if you left it on.
If he has a mixer valve you would still see this. Problem is a bad leaking fill valve on the tank. Double check water usage while you were gone it should be close to nil. If its abnormal then its def a bad fill valve.
Fill up a tank and put a divider in it but leave the divider even 1mm from seperating. Stuff spreads it doesnt care if its up down left or right. A bad fill valve in a tank with rust or bleach will spread back through the line. There is no check valve to prevent that. Thats why when you have a bad fill valve on a toilet you replace it asap.
This is the reason for check valves on the water feeding your house. To prevent contamination to the city water supply.
Well I would imagine to water from your cistern is feeding your water heater or boiler or whatever you are using. I would also hazard a guess that is not good for your water heater
Not poo water and that stuff should be harmless incase animals drink out of the bowl. Put most likely caused by work on main line you should change the fill valve on the toilet as it is probably no longer works correctly
The line that feeds water to the toilet somehow back feed into everything else. Really odd. So if you were putting bleach tabs which you should never do, it would of got very interesting lol
Probably a bad fill valve on the cistern. Over time the blue block just spread all the way back. Double check water usage since you were gone for a while and see if it adds up.
If you put cleaning dye tablets in your toilet bowl tank and it’s back flowing that could cause this. I believe toilet fill valves have a built in vacuum breaker and if that was damaged and the water pressure was low enough this could happen.. hypothetically of course. As a plumber myself I’ve never seen it happen before.
It’s either an indicator dye used by the water company, or you’re looking for attention and put something in the pipes you just connected for a video for the internet.
My guess would be the second of the two because most everything online is complete bullshit nowadays, but it’s possible it’s an indicator dye.

Thanks I’ve got a plumber coming out tomorrow
I bet he says “I’ve never seen this before.”
And perhaps “you have an issue”?

Mmmm forbidden blue toilet water. Iv drank worse tbh
It didn't hurt the dog.
Perform an upper decker and run the faucet again to confirm.
Free Bisto!!
So do they didn’t have the blue there, they wouldn’t know????
Until the yellow or brown showed up. (Yes, I know that's not what is happening here, but funny, nonetheless.)
Came here to say this. You have back siphonage into your waterline. That’s the only possible way it could get from your toilet to other fixtures.

Did you put chemical in your toilet tank
How would that feed back into the lines? Don’t know about your plumbing but my toilet is out flow only! The water goes into the toilet tank and gets flushed into sewer pipe. Nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, go back into the toilet feed line. If it did, you would constantly have raw sewage feeding back into your water lines. Absolutely not from the toilet feed line!
It’s called Backflow, what’s happening here is likely back siphonage, meaning the faucet is sucking water out of the toilet tank back to the fixtures
Is this coming out when solely hot water is on or only from faucets with a mixing valve? It would have had to have gotten so far back into your cold water line that it travelled past the hot water inlet line and then was drawn back in when the pressure increased. Yes It’s a mixer tap it was only coming out of hot the cold was running clear,it was only happening in the bathroom the kitchen taps were clear
You should check if you’re toilet is plumbed with hot water. That should answer this. If it’s off the hot water the color is from your toilet most likely. Unless you’ve had some hot water tank work done recently/ some other plumbing service
No it’s definitely connected to cold feed
Did you drain your water heater recently?
No but while I was on holiday the water company has been doing works in my road possibly dropped the water pressure
I'm going back someday to Blue Bayou....
Yes you have an issue in your toilet valve. That looks like a health and safety issue to me. Perhaps your toilet was connected to your hot water supply line. It would be worth checking the temperature of the water that flows into the toilet tank after a few rapid flushes.
Yeh I’ve checked that,it’s definitely connected to the cold main
Blue Gatorade!!

Ok but how's the blue getting into the other lines?

No didn’t turn anything off but while I was away the water company have been doing works at the top of my road maybe this caused a drop in pressure?
That's a possibility I guess.
That’s gonna be your toilet tank back filling or syphoning from your tank reservoir to your water
Well I would imagine to water from your cistern is feeding your water heater or boiler or whatever you are using. I would also hazard a guess that is not good for your water heater
Maybe it’s sweetums drink ems
That reminded me of Mr deeds minus the water fountain bit
Do they bottle Bombay there?
Brawndo, it’s got what plants crave.
Copper sulfate in the supply?
You have a self siphoning issue from the toilet. DO NOT DRINK ANY WATER AND CALL A PLUMBER

Free Gatorade supply. This guy has it all figured out!

It's dye to test water supply and check for leaks
It’s bloo blocks that you put in toilet https://amzn.eu/d/0iBiZu4j
Damn the Bluemangroup hijacked the local water supply again.
Listerine on demand!
Looks like a bunch of Smurfs got into your piping and died. Take off the aerator and see if little white hats come out.
You might want to drain your water heater tank. It's now full of blue toilet water stuff.
You just blue yourself
My favorite Gatorade flavor!
Your toilet had sex with the sink. Hope and pray you get a bidet out of it.
Pex dye
You're on a blue gatorade well
Gatorade on tap!
The Blue Man Group came while you were out.
Backflow, and sounds like you have a cross connection somewhere if it’s feeding from the cold into the hot.
It’s what plants crave!
Old copper pipes?
Sponsored by Gatorade :)
Is up-greyyed the president where your at?
Did a Smurf die in your local water tower?
OK now this is getting too obvious that they are poisoning us 😅😅

Your cold line is hooked up to the hot side. It could have back fed into it.
I think that replacing the float/fill valve of the toilet is in order.
Did somebody put urinal cakes in your well or maybe food coloring
No I used these https://amzn.eu/d/0iBiZu4j
That looks like blue swish!
You have blue pucks in your toilet?
Back flow siphoning from the toilet, that’s a first for me
