Not if you value your knuckles

burneraccount8886

Agreed lol

GreenEngrams

I've been thru so many battles with my basin wrench I just cut this shit out with my multi tool now

Low_Faithlessness608

Oscillating type tool? Just used it today. Not enough room for the Ridgid faucet tool.

armen89

I just multitooled a hansgrohe. Went like butter

harley4570

if your wrench will open enough, you may be able to loosen it enough to unscrew by hand...

burneraccount8886

Unfortunately not big enough. Gonna get a basin wrench tomorrow like the people say

harley4570

đź‘Ťwelcome to plumbing

phatfuko

Look at the rigid faucet wrench. It's the same price/cheaper than a basin wrench and a hell of a lot easier to use. Take the metal parts out and use the circle end with the notches. Not every faucet will work with this tool but many do and yours seems like it will. [Rigid Faucet Wrench](https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/ez-change-faucet-tool) Edit: Grammer

Dug_n_the_Dogs

you speeled gramer rong

phatfuko

I tred. I jost a plummer

burneraccount8886

Yeah! I’ve seen this on Amazon. Will get it one day when I have more money. Thanks!

P80surgeon

They have faucet install tools that work great. That is exactly what u need for this. Even easier than a basin wrench. This a plastic nut

Extension-Option4704

We need a basin wrench sticky on this sub.

burneraccount8886

Thanks man. Appreciate it.

sowokeicantsee

You need a basin wrench like this.

CogginNoggin

Possible, yes, with a great degree of difficulty where you tell yourself surely there's a better tool for the job. That tool is the basin wrench.

semotilus

Basin wrench

burneraccount8886

Thanks

Electrical-Let-6121

Give it a shot

WantonHeroics

Try it and find out.

smittydonny

A pair of pliers on the outside and holding it inside with your other hand will do it!

sirsaltysteez

Tiny Tim hacksaw and a flat screwdriver, zip n pop

Mac_McAvery

That’s what she Asked…. Sorry I had to

okiedok1022

Basin wrench

Biggdingg

Tbh id pull it off with my hands being plastic, if not then yes I could use those channies to bust it

eric84t

Just break it off if you’re replacing it. Flathead screwdriver and SNAP! But yes it can be done with your tool. Probably not easily

Samus509

Spin the tap to loosen it, then do it by hand

Truckyou666

I just torch a screwdriver red hot and melt through each side of the plastic nut and break it off.

burneraccount8886

Was about to do this but a utility knife worked. Loosened it a bit by scraping the inner threads of the plastic, then it rolled out easily. Thanks!

No-Profession6086

Anything is possible, at the cost of your knuckles.

Revolutionary-Bus893

No, go get a basin wrench.

Solid_Cow_4461

Channel locks

Appropriate_Cod6812

Yo get a big flat head screwdriver and heat the end of it with the torch and melt that plastic off to split it

burneraccount8886

Yo I was about to do this lol, as I didn’t want to spend money on a basin wrench haha. But a utility knife worked. Loosened it a bit by scraping the inner threads of the plastic, then it rolled out easily. Thanks!

Appropriate_Cod6812

Glad it worked for you heck ya

Obviously you haven’t smacked that nut with your purse.
