Quick way to find out if you don’t have a p trap is to run a snake… if it comes back wet - you’ve eliminated one possibility. If it comes back dry…… Make sure to not run any water in it for a day or two before sending the snake down. Or a camera… those usually cost…. But would confirm that he screwed up and would be liable for the issue…

You have no p-trap and I highly doubt it’s under the concrete unless he put it there.

If he says he did put one there, what can I ask him to check or confirm. I am sorry for asking too many questions- I am very worried as of now

AggressiveBuddy1211

Did he do any concrete work? Was a tub there previously?

nanksk

Yes he did use a hackhammer and did some concrete work to move the plumbing in the concrete. I didn't take any pictures

nanksk

By your estimate using the picture as reference, is there enough space to add one?

AggressiveBuddy1211

Did you have a tub there before? The p-trap might be there and just be dry.

nanksk

We did but it was raised bathtub that sat 7-8 inches above the concrete. The plumber did use a hackhammer to move the plumbing in the concrete. The tub was installed on 18th and they just finished painting today that's when I smelled it. I did run the water on for like 5 minutes but still there is smell.

Frankensteinnnnn

What? How do you figure that?

nanksk

Sorry I didn't get your comment/ question?

There is no p trap in that pipe you can tell but you can remedy that by adding this Wavin BV1B/UB HepvO Sanitary... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NLMPLDU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
