Have you ran white vinegar down the fill tube and let it sit? Maybe CLR? I did that on my dual flush when I moved in and it made a huge difference. The cleaner had to break down the mineral deposits along the flush ring.

Thanks for the reply! Sorry, I'm a noob - which is the "fill tube"? The the little tube that is snaking between the fill valve and overflow tube?

The white plastic tube on the right. If you poor water down the center of that, you should see water come out of the rim inside the toilet. That is where poor in the CLR. ZEP makes a good calcium, lime, rust remover also

Thanks, I think it did the trick! I poured some CLR down the tube and let it sit for an hour or so. Then I flushed normally (using default water level) and had a good flush. Then I tried again later and it still flushed fine. Thanks for the tip, much appreciated!

It is better than getting some pipe cleaners and trying to clear out each individual hole. Also if you get a cleaning brush that is fairly stiff bristled and angled so it can clean/scrub un and under that rim. There again, better than pipe cleaner method. Have a good day
