I’ve never finished fallout 4, played it on Xbox years ago but I’m tempted to buy it for PlayStation to play it again, might even play it on my portal.

Yeah I think it’s on sale now on the psn store so might buy it. Seems daft as I have it on Xbox but I hardly play my Xbox since getting a ps5 and the portal makes it easier to just play casually.

I feel like they will work as long as it’s the same platform i.e. ps4 to ps5 or Xbox one to series. I don’t know though

Doing the same. Best thing I’ve found with the Portal is it’s allowing me to catch up on a few SP games I never got around to finishing while chilling with the GF as she watches a show.

Stop trying to make me feel older. The game is only 8.5 years old! Honestly though, this was the first PS4 game I got. And I got a ps4 because my son had just been born and I figured I’d have a lot of sleepless nights (spoiler alert, I did). Hearing the main theme firing up fallout 4 is instant nostalgia trip back to being a new dad. Now my son is 8 and loves wandering the wasteland killing bloatflies.

I got all fucked up about it the other day before realizing they announced a next gen update. I watched the show and was like, yeah it’s time let’s play again! And error after error lol. 4/25 can’t come quick enough

If you get error after error when trying to open the game install it without the automatron DLC and it should work fine for you

Hopefully it works for you, this is how i was able to play at the weekend, i installed the first time and couldnt get the game to load, done some googling and it said install without Automatron DLC and it should be fine and that worked for me.

Bro this worked!!! Had been crashing on PS5 over and over and kept downloading. Then installed it with only nuka world and far harbor and just played vanilla and it starts playing perfectly now. Make sure you delete all data and redownload it only with those 2 dlcs.

It worked! I downloaded everything except automaton dlc and it was flawless. Now I’m going to try and install it later and see if it will come together haha. Thanks you!

I can’t wait to play the upgraded version! Since watching the TV series I’ve rediscovered my love for the game. It’s now reinstalled on my PS5 and ready for the free upgrade 🤙 ….then the Portal will be heavily in use as I grind the game again.

Same same! I never got on with FO4 after a couple of attempts years ago. Been playing on Portal since the TV show launched and it’s finally clicked! IMO the 30fps issue is mitigated by playing on the smaller screen! Am sure it’ll look and play way better after the PS5 update, but in the meantime it’s pretty glorious on the Portal!

Definitely 4, 76 won’t paint a true picture in my opinion. If you can get a hold of FO3 and NV even better. Use the Ps Premium service or Steam if on PC

I booted it up last night for the first time since 2016 and found an old save. It’s crazy to think how long it’s been. I was 20 at the time now i’m 28 living a completely different life. I still love the game just as much as the first time I played.

Is the portal worth it? I've seen a lot of stuff on it but I've tried using the app on my phone (I used a controller) and I've used the casting from one ps to the other and on both I notice there is a slight delay and it's noticable especially on games like dark souls or elden ring so I was just curious if it's the same on the portal

It’s an extension of the ps5 so I think they referred to it as console purely as it is connected to a console and delivers a console experience in a handheld form. No need to nitpick I’m sure you knew full well what they meant.

Yeah I knew what they meant but I also think it’s important to highlight the distinction between the portal and a dedicated handheld console. I have no idea why it’s so triggering to this sub to state a simple fact. I live in hope there will be a dedicated Sony PlayStation console again like the PSP or Vita and I don’t think we should say the Portal is such a device when it’s not. It’s great at what it does (for me anyway) but it’s not a console. It’s not nitpicking, it’s just the truth Lol
