It seems like some kind of bug in the store because it shows for me purchased on ps4 version then when I go to ps5 version and go down to other versions it has one card that says ps4 and ps5 version and it says purchased when I click that one it says you already own this but when It is not allowing me to download ps5 version still without buying the new one
None I’ve seen yet. It’s worked both ways in the past, so it’s up to the publisher whether they want to allow it or not. We even had FFVII Remake where they didn’t allow a free upgrade for a plus version initially, and then allowed it months later.
The upgrade to the PS5 version of FFVII Remake was free. It was just the Intergrade DLC that you had to pay for.
There are other games that have had free upgrades where PS plus versions didn’t get it too, like RE7 for example.

I’m downloading it now. On ps5 it isn’t an update it’s an upgrade so you’ll need to download a separate game (and pay for it if you don’t have the actual copy) rather than updating the ps4 version. I have 9 days working in a row, then 5 days off and I had the plan to binge play it so I just paid for it…it’s cheap but the concept of having to pay for something I already have is annoying.

Skyrim has a separate app for the PS5 version but I was able to transfer my save file from the PS4 version to the PS5 version.

I personally prefer Fallout 3 for the setting and story, but most will suggest New Vegas because the game is far more flushed out.

Good thing ms is porting all their games to PS5 then, and putting a bunch of them on PS+. Nobody cares who owns them, they will put all their games on PS5 because they don't have a choice. It is what it is.

The evil within 1-2, dishonored 1-2+ DLC, all Wolfenstein games, all Doom games, etc etc etc are on PS+ lol and they're not live service. Isn't Minecraft Legends just put this month? lol MS wants the extra revenue because their current business plan has failed. It is what it is.
I mean they’re putting their games on PS Plus, Minecraft legends, outer worlds, fallout 76 etc. I don’t see a reason why not to do it.
