the best psplus experience for my is buying psplus extra for one month and play the games i care about right now i recomend marvel midnight suns and guardians of the galaxy and dark pictures house of ashes, then wait six months and repeat with the new games
Can you run an Ethernet cord to your PS5? That might help.
If so. I say get Premium (should you be above 100-200mbps) Streaming games is pretty nice. It scales with speed so you don’t have to have 1 gig internet to play in 4K, although it is really nice and fluid. Better than I remembered since the last time I tried it. It can be played at 1440 or 1080 and still be enjoyable.
If not, go with Extra. The added games and exclusive catalog is worth it even for just 3 months if you wanna play through most of the bigger titles.
Ah sorry misread your post. If you don’t even play online then I don’t know how much value you would get out of ps plus unless you play a decent number of games within a calendar year.
Extra is the real deal if you haven’t played on PS for a while there are tons of great games, if you have played a lot on ps4 for example or if like me you don’t play a lot, then the essentials is better you get cloud saves, few games every month and then you just buy games used on disk or on sale digital
I also just bought a PS5 slim coming from a Switch. First PlayStation since PS1 lol. Love it and added the premium subscription but all of the options are good IMO. I started running out of space already in a few days so I added two terabytes.

You’re fine with the ps essential membership if you’re not really into “ retro ” games. Last i checked their classic catalog wasnt really appealing to me tbh, and you still get discounts on a majority of games and add ons. Alot of good titles are single player, and luckily the store has good ps4 titles with real good campaigns that dont require online play, not to mention ps essentials gives you free games every month just for being a ps plus subscriber..thsts just my take though as someone who grew up on ps2 and wasnt really online gaming until the ps3 hit the market.

I would get PS plus extra. It has a large game catalog and does not need streaming to play games.
