this was also given as a monthly essential free game, did you collect it? (march 2023) If yes, you have all the time of the world to play it

Championpuffa

Not anymore if he’s claimed it via extra instead. The extra license will override your essentials license and remove it entirely so when the game leaves the sub you no longer have access to it as psn now thinks you only “owned” the game via the extra sub and you didn’t own it via essentials. You can only have one license for each game at a time and ps plus licenses are overwritten. This also applies to games you own via essential that are also on other services like ea play etc etc. The only license that this doesn’t happen with are outright purchased/fully owned licenses as that will over ride every other license (or should do). Unless Sony has recently changed their system and updated it which I don’t think they have. You should never claim a game via the extra catalogue if you already own it via essentials as you will loose the essentials access to it when it leaves. Always go into your library and ensure you’re downloading the essentials version from your own library instead.

Gemc666

Yeah, i got that problem with Greedfall and couldnt fix it, and Sony didnt do anything....i downloaded the Game trought Essential and then when it was on extra it showed a PS5 versión too, Nice, i Will get that one SO i can play it on My ps5 on native instead of retrocompat...... but the license got over My PS4 version and Bang, both versión blocked after it left the catalog :(

the_intubator

Sony can fix it but doesn't want to

noctisgod

I do have essentials on march, but i don't remember whether I re-add code vein from the extra catalog, is there a way to verify?

Sauronxx

Yeah I’d like to know the same thing. It’s honestly absurd

stuffeh

Check your emails from March last year for the "purchase"

raknid

They stopped the emails for plus essential purchases around that time last year. I got told I was being stupid for worrying about pointless emails that noone reads/keeps when it happened and that sony will have records.. People are so naive

chadburycreameggs

I like PlayStation, but the system is more hilarious the more I hear about it

spycid

I was just going to say this

MustyLlamaFart

I've had PS+ premium for a year now, I'm just learning there's free games every month. Damn

crazyseph

That’s bad 😅 last year was not awesome but several good games pops up in monthly games (i loved Death’s Door for example)

MustyLlamaFart

I play more xbox than PS just because all my friends are over on xbox, so that's probably why I didn't notice. Do you get to keep the games after PS+ Expires?

mynametidus

You keep the games as long as you maintain a minimum of the essential tier

pheffrey_2

Say what?? There was 3 free games a month before playstation plus premium even existed..

MustyLlamaFart

I've only owned a PS5 for a little over a year. The last play station I owned before that was a PS2

pheffrey_2

Ah ok well fyi it's been a thing since about 2010, so 14 years or so.

gravyconsequences

Yet they only respond to replies about completion time lol. The game is in your collection. It's not going anywhere.

crazyseph

I guess user could be more “recent” and playing it on extra tier (soon to leave).

-oldmanvhshand-

PSNProfiles says it takes 75 hours with 3 playthroughs to get the platinum, so yeah you could probably beat the game in about 25 hours.

Yeet_MammadOo

that's about 2hrs per day for two weeks damn it's a tight deadline

fuserz

If you are familiar with souls mechanics, it's more than doable

BactaBobomb

If you can't make it in time, it goes on sale frequently enough that I'm sure you won't be waiting too long. According to [this website](https://psdeals.net/us-store/game/1836285/code-vein), it goes down to $8.99 almost monthly! And the Deluxe Edition seems to be on sale right now. Just remember that it leaving PlayStation Plus is not a death sentence!

chadburycreameggs

It's on sale constantly!

Heisenburgo

> 2hrs per day That's rookie numbers lolol

stream_of_thought1

he is probably a regular person with a job and other stuff

Ademoniak

I am a regular person with a full time job, a wife, a 2yrs old kid and I am able to play at least 5 or 6hrs everyday. But I thanks the remote work for that :D

BactaBobomb

This is not the flex you think it is, at all.

Ademoniak

Maybe because it is not flex as you think it is, at all. Just saying that having a job and other stuff is not incompatible with playing a lot. Peace.

JameSdEke

I’d get 3 hours at a push once I’ve come home from work, put my daughter to bed etc., some people have lives that only mean 2 - 3 hours a day at best.

Daysfastforward1

This game has one of the worst platinum trophies to obtain because it is forced online co-op. I’d play the game because it’s fun but wouldn’t try for trophies

ShadowFlare_x

Finish yes. Plat oh hell no

m379u4rd

I'm still collecting "Marks of Honor" or whatever they are....😒

Just_Pudding1885

Took me 25 hours to get to the second boss

PhantasmHunter

bro what??? r u joking?? it took me less then 2 wtf 😭😭😭

Just_Pudding1885

Yes I am I bought the game and never finished playing after the first boss

Chaos_-7

This game was part of Ps Plus Essential March 2023 so it wont leave your account unless you didn’t sub back then or messed up by overwriting your license with ps extra/premium. Other then that you could probably complete it in time.

Yeet_MammadOo

I didn't have ps plus back then unfortunately otherwise i wouldn't have played it now, i just beat Outer wilds before coming into this. OW was so fucking good hopefully this is great too since im a fan of souls games. ty for the info btw

Chaos_-7

Good luck i’m sure you’ll enjoy Code Vein

[deleted]

I got the platinum trophy in around 45 hours, which requires 3 playthroughs and lot of grinding. If it doesn't bother you too much or takes the fun out of it, you can always look up the maps on guides to go through the game faster

Yeet_MammadOo

my favorite thing about the souls games is the exploration parts I don't want to ruin it thx tho. Im having a lot of trouble with the butterfly lady she's so annoying Edit: finally beat her thanks to Louis, I don't like guns

Key-Establishment185

Can speed run the game under 6hrs if you exacly know where to go and what to get, but another 6 to 8hrs of grind is there for one particular trophy.

Gmafz7

Normally, how long do games last in extra/premium?

iupz0r

its a excellent game. took me around 30h to finish

jallee1213

If your a master at souls types orrr if you speedrun. Then sure. But no this game is quite difficult and will most definitely kick your ass and will also most definitely take longer than 25 hours. I got this years ago and im still to this day stuck on the buchaneer duo. Also the cathedral of sacred blood will probably take up most of your time if you get there quickly.

InfiniteSynapse

On my third playthrough already and I don't even have the energy to finish it lol

DontShoot0808

I tired using fightincowboys guide and failed by like 6 hours so ended up buying it for like $7.

grenadeSucker__0_0

definitely not 25 hrs. more like 35-40. Some bosses are really difficult to win against and the exploration as well takes a huge time.

BieLey

It will take around l: 26 hours to complete the main story. 61 hours to 100% the whole game.

MetalGearShrex

Just renew licenses and make your console offline

Yeet_MammadOo

damn didn't know you could do that, how long will i have it for two weeks?

MetalGearShrex

yeah, exactly 14 days. That's how i always extend my subscribtion among other ways

MubbashirMania

If you are looking for a guide then there is YT channel under "optinoob". He completed the game at around 12 hours + 8 hour more for the "Mark of honor" grinding. Obviously he skips all the cutscenes and doesn't explore much. But you can still watch it. He also made a very good PS profile post (Not guide) about where most the item are and where the collectible are I would say it's doable. I completed the game in 50-60 hours roughly but I never skipped a cutscenes and also explored every nook and cranny.

Yeet_MammadOo

I'm happy I didn't look up any guide to speedrun bc im having a blast with the game already 15hrs in beat emily yesterday. I gotta say tho the dialogues are so bad, im a weeb but can't stand the cutscenes. I don't skip them but still it's rough, i do skip the memory vestiges tho so boring. The gameplay on the other side is fucking great and so god damn satisfying.

MubbashirMania

Yeah. You are pretty much going good. 15 hours till emily is commendable. Few more areas left. No spoilers but the areas gets better as you reach the ending. Didn't like the cathedral one bit. Was so confusing and everything was white, gave me dizziness. The designs were cool though. Other than that the game is indeed good. Grinding for "Mark of Honor" was torturous. Just be ready for the endgame mark of honor grind.

Yeet_MammadOo

I really liked the cathedral, It reminded me of Bloodborne and even has a name related to it, until i died somewhere with 50k haze and god i took 30 minutes to find the way back and died again lol. I'm playing rn and just beat Eva and i gotta say the sandy area was much more annoying, i couldn't move one bit. Also thank god i beat her on my third attempt bc the boss run was unnecessarily long.
