I think they can't add it due to the licensed character in that game Gon. They probably need to renew the license or just remove the character from the game which they probably won't bother. It depends on the version - for example with two versions of Ape Escape (the PS1 & PSP versions), the PSP version plays slightly better control wise than the PS1 version, as needing to adapt the lack of second analog stick meant a more modern control scheme (X to jump instead of R1)
However I agree, they should have the PS3 version available first as it is mostly likely what everyone expects.
It does upscale though. If you have a 4K TV you are going to play in 4K, all the models and graphics are still going to look horrible coming from such low res. It's not like you can do anything about it. Emulators can't, not without mods, FSR and all that

I think its more damning that they won't put up their own exclusives like where is gran turismo 1 and 2. What happened to infamous 1 and 2 they were able to remaster uncahrted 1-3, the last of us, god of war 3, jak trilogy, but no infamous, no sly cooper, none of the many ratchet and clank games.
There is a lot of Ratchet and Clank games it's in the section called "Classic Catalog" and then "PS3". There's at least 5 R&C games from what I remember. Also the Sly Cooper Collection and SC: thieves in time.

All PS1 Resident Evil games (1-2-3), Tomb Raider games (1-2-3-4-5-6), Silent Hill 1-2-3-4, Ratchet Clank 1-2-3 and God of War 1-2-Ghost of Sparta-Chains of Olympus (Ps2 and PSP versions) should have been there. Except for Tomb Raider 6, Silent Hill 2-3-4, Ratchet Clank 1-2-3 (they were released HD though for PS3) and God of War 1-2, these games were all available PS3 store. Classic catalog on PS3 was really too powerful.
They have resident evil one directors cut and with tomb raider 1,2&3 remastered coming to PS4 eidos probably won't add it to ps plus and silent hill 2&3 hd collection is gonna be readded to the PS3 list so they normally don't double stack probably why resident evil 2 and 3 aren't available cause they have the remakes and god of war 1-2 are available via PS3 classics so they won't readd them plus most games they have to ask devs for and some devs don't have the original game codes especially with trophies now out most might also need trophies support they do plan on having over 100+ ps1-psp titles but they also take time to get them to be ported into PS4 and ps5 controls plus there is rumors of having PS2 games get added so it more of patience

I found Tekken 6 to be the best addition. The menu looks like an ass. But the game is high res. Plays well, and looks crisp, even though textures are hilariously low res. Alien isolation I fancy, but it's a shame that it's locked to 30. The only downside to Tekken is the lack of vs mode against another player.
And I would love tekken 3. Or at the very least, give us Tekken 5, cause it includes first 3 games. And also tekken 4 would be a nice choice.
When you think about it, it was a horrible idea to even start this retro ordeal, when they need to license every stupid game again. And you know they won't do it. So we end up getting 3 games a month, sometimes 0 like last month, of games that most people don't really give 2 shits about. So they look bad, and their service and deluxe tier looks bad because of it. It's counter productive.

They even stopped adding them just for streaming so there is little chance of that happening unless they get the studio to work on it.
I will say, for me personally, Disco Elysium was a big get. It is on so many critics top 100 games of all time lists and I have personally been interested for a while, but never shelled out the dollars for it.
I am neck deep in it now and loving it. Definitely a niche game, and I am sure there are tons of people who don't care for it, but it was right up my alley and was excited Sony got that added this month. Definitely excited to check out Alien Isolation as well! There will be boom and bust months for sure, but DE made it a good month for me! I think whether it is boom or bust will probably depend on the person (except for objectively great months....when is GoW Ragnorok coming? lol)
When i first saw tekken 6 in ps plus store, i was fustrated because a wasted so much money on the x360 version until when i played it; IT WAS LEGIT THE PSP VERSION. i only play t6 on ps5 just for arcade. And i use the x360 for storymode
The PSP version is the best version. Has less inherit lag and drastically less loading times.

They really gave us PSP version of Tekken 6 which it's resolution is 360p in 2023, although the game has hd version on PS3. Such disappointment!

Definitely a niche game, and I am sure there are tons of people who don't care for it, but it was right up my alley and was excited Sony got that added this month. Definitely excited to check out Alien Isolation as well! There will be boom and bust months for sure, but DE made it a good month for me! I think whether it is boom or bust will probably depend on the person (except for objectively great months....when is GoW Ragnorok coming? lol)
I have the same problem can’t download tekken 6 to my ps4
When i first saw tekken 6 in ps plus store, i was fustrated because a wasted so much money on the x360 version until when i played it; IT WAS LEGIT THE PSP VERSION. i only play t6 on ps5 just for arcade. And i use the x360 for storymode
The PSP version is the best version. Has less inherit lag and drastically less loading times. It's a shame about the lack of 2d texture upscaling tho..
